Miss Weasley,Category: Works in Progress
The War has caused a drop in the population of the wizarding world. To correct the situation, the International Confederation of Wizards is arranging marriages for every witch and wizard of age. The marriages are determined by a soul mate spell. Each couple will have to produce three children minimum. All forms of contraceptive are banned. Please come to the Ministry of Magic at 9:00 on Monday morning to be paired with your soul mate. If you do not show up to receive your fiancé(e) on the date above, you will be exiled from the wizarding world.
Sincerely,
Rufus Scrimgeour
Minister of Magic

Basic Timeline:Category: Long and Completed
1997-98: Ginny's sixth year, May 2nd is Battle of Hogwarts, and then we happily depart from adherence to the HP canon
June '98-1999: people are rebuilding homes, the castle, their sanity, etc - Hogwarts reopens in the fall of 1999 with Ginny in her seventh year and Draco, Hermione, etc (sans Harry & Ron) in theirs as well because the former 6th & 7th years who wanted to return were combined into one giant 7th year
1999-2000: Seventh Year for Ginny, Draco, etc then graduation from Hogwarts in the spring of 2000. Draco immediately leaves the country. Hermione joins Harry and Ron at Auror training in the fall, Ginny makes reserve for the Holyhead Harpies and starts training that summer
2001 - Draco is aimlessly exploring the world, the Golden Trio is in Auror training still, Ginny remains on reserve
2002 - in the spring the trio graduate into Aurors, Draco returns to England and buys into the Falcons, Ginny is moved up from reserves and gets to compete in actual games
2003 - our story commences in July… during a Global Quidditch Competition that has nothing to do with the World Cup (which Egypt had just won in 2002, and following the four year pattern means the next World Cup would be in 2006)? In this Wizarding World basically all year there’s games going on and various publicity stunts/social affairs that players are encouraged to attend and promote.? The Harpies are currently on a string of matches in North America.
Ginny is just shy of 22 as her birthday is in August.? Draco is freshly 23 as his birthday was in June.? None of this really matters much but there you have it anyway.
Okay so this...is basically a lemon which wasn’t at all what I planned going into it.? But… I just worked with the energy and vibe that D & G brought to the table so… blame them, lol.
