Oh dear. This is going to be a battle between father and son, family and daughter, Draco and Ginny, the Weasley's and the Malfoy's. Will they actually move in together! I can already tell the next few chapters are going to be interesting.

Oh, poor Draco. He does feel remorse....how sad Even more so for Ginny...I can't believe she went through with it and lied...strong girl, that..

Wow - that's pretty powerful stuff. I've always felt that more time needs to be given to the whole Draco struggling with his dark side issue. I like DarkDraco when he's trying to be good or at least recognizes that he is just the product of his upbringing. The rape was pretty awful - I'm not sure he can be redeemed now. But I'll wait and see where you go with this.

Thank you for another wonderful chapter! So Ginny is going to deny everything hey. Pretend that nothing happened, nothing existed between her and Draco...don't think Draco is going to take that to well. When reading that paragraph where Luna tells Ginny to lie about everything. To pretend that nothing ever happened and nothing exist between her and Draco it reminded me a bit about my self. Every time I break up with a boyfriend I force him out of my mind and force my self to forget him and everything that we've done together. It helps move life along. I know it's harsh but then again if I don't do that then I'll just spend all of my time crying and hurting over someone that's not worth it. Some cases this technique works wonders cause the guy was just a bad choice. But in some cases it does come back to haunt you. It hard being strong and land on your feet again when something of this magnitude shatters everything you've believed in. Call me cold but this technique has gotten me through some “very” hard times. It’s not easy doing this, TRUST me! Ginny definitely has some hard decisions to make and only she can make them her self. I am absolutely not condoning what Draco did; however, Ginny needs to take responsibility for her actions to. She couldn’t have expected Draco to just take a step back and say “ok” when she changed her mind about moving in with him. This is Draco Malfoy we are talking about. Anyhow, another amazing chapter enjoyed! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful work! I applaud you for your talent in writing your last chapter where the “incident” occurred. No, it’s not easy writing scenes like that; especially while trying to still keep it tasteful and covey the feels and thoughts of each character while also trying to keep them in character too. Please post your next chapter soon! I can’t wait to see (read) what happens when Ginny and Luna “lie their face off” to the Weasleys and Draco being confronted with Ginny’s denial of the existence of their relationship.

amazing character development, but I hope Ginnys family supports her! She needs to kick his a$$. Or Luna should. Or Luna and Hermione. Or Luna, Hermione, Mrs. Weasly and Narcissa! OOOO...thatd be cool. sry, tired. got a little crazy. Good job, though.

I'm loving this story SO MUCH. Wow, I certainly didn't see the rape thing coming - that's a bludger to the head. How on earth are they going to get past this?

I knew it! Rape! Idiotic egotistical stupid stuck-up Draco! Argh! He makes me so mad in this story! But im really interested in seeing how he's going to make it up to her, (Im assuming they get back together, seeing as the nature of this story), and how Ginny and Luna get her out of this mess!!
Name: ser reviewed Bludgers and penalties on Nov 07, 2004 04:33 am
Oh dear Draco. What a mess he's got himself into. And damn if he doesn't deserve everything that Ginny will throw at him. And go on Ginny and deny everything. The bastard deserves it! And this is coming from someone who loves Draco. But to rape her is unexceptable. She may have responded but no is no and nothing can make what he did right. And what a fool he is to tell Lucius. He should have know that his father would go and tell the Weasleys. He may have lost his influence in the Wizarding world but he's still a sneaky cunning bastard who can twist Draco around his littel finger. I can't wait to see what will happen. Hopefully Draco will realise what he's lost. love ser

Dear Draco, You find yourself in a right pickle don't you? And you unestimated your father once more. I don't know how you are going to get yourself out of this mess of your own creation. For your information Ginny is going to deny, deny, deny and deny some more. She even has a back up in Luna to help her. You are going to come out of this looking like an arse no matter what you do. Your father is manipulating you just like he did when you were young. And you played right into his hands when you did what you did to Ginny. All he has to do is sit back and enjoy the show. You are in so deep now that I fear you may never find your way out.... Pud

You are a tease leaving us like that. Damn It I want to know what happens at the burrow and what happens next. You have done a good job with this chapter- especially with Draco and the explanation over control and his realization that he has probably lost Ginny. Poor Draco Old habits are hard to Break especially when volatile emotions take over . What is Lucius up to ...hmm trying to Prove that Draco still has to obey his demands You did well with this chapter and i am eagerly awaiting the next chapters on how the weasleys react and what happens next between Draco and iGinny

She's denied it. I can't believe it. I can't believe Draco either (well, no, I can believe it). His behaviour was atrocious. As for the writer who keeps us hanging... that was another great chapter done.

Girl... you are driving my plotbunnies INSANE!?!? I can't believe Ginny agreed to lie about their relationship?! Oh my gawd, if Draco finds out about it, he will NOT like it AT ALL! This is going to be one hell of a Malfoy-Weasley feud we don't want to happen! Sweetie, this is turning out to be your best work ever!?! On a more serious note -- I love how you bravely described the harsh realities of date rape in this chapter. In your own way, you are making people aware about the consequences and trials people go through in this type of situation. It's a bold move, my friend -- and I'm glad you didn't back out on it! *applauds* I can't wait for the next installment! :D

WOW! I'm clearly shocked that you wrote this chapter in such a manner -- but will admit that plot-wise it does clearly justify the whole persona of D/G's relationship. I have to admit that you're the last person I'd imagine writing a D/G rape scene, since you mentioned to me before that you're all for a great D/G happily-ever-after romance... but this is definitely the Draco I fell for in Catching the Snitch. In this chapter, he was devious, cold, and manipulative. Love is a real emotion to him, yet it is also his most powerful weapon as well. Hehehe, when I was reading it, I actually thought that that scene would be more appropriate for the wedding night in Obsession Fulfilled -- but it took alot of guts to write something like this, especially because it similar to domestic rape, but you have clearly proven to me that you are fearless and passionate with your works! Girl, we need more writers like you!

Author's Response: yes, this is a definitely darker Draco than I normally write, but that was the essence of CTS and it just didn't ring true if Draco's Slytherin nature didn't come out in this continuation. Draco in Obsession Fulfilled is much closer to Draco in NJFA and my first draft of the consummation reflects that. I think that after this story and the Double Edged Sword, I need to go back to my dream Draco.

I have loved every single one o your stories..and although this chapter was deeply unsettling, i have to say you've written remarkably well..I know you've been suduced by the darker Draco and frankly who can blame you? But part of me refuses to believe it..its an enormus part of me i can tell you1 I think its safe to say I fell in love with the Draco In Not Just Friends Anymore- who has the power to resist?! And Although I know its impossible I WISH This Draco can revert back to the one I love..or at the very least realise the enormity and atrocity of what he has done.. I'd like to finish by saying how much enjoyment you have given me with your stories..I hope you carry on in the same way..Thank You Hajra xx

I have loved this story!!!!! But this chapter.. dam *faints* How could he do that! what a bastard, i really hope Ginny kicks his ass, and hex's him within an inch of his life... the moron diserves less. How could he possibly think this would move their relationship forward? Please don't take this as a flame.. because it isn't, I just tend to get a little caught up in stories. So I loved the way you wrote this, very emotional and powerful... but if I could strangle him I would!!! I hope you update soon! it is a fnatastic story!!!

Author's Response: I felt a response was needed in view of the reactions to this chapter. I wanted to write a little ficlet as a way of getting over my writer's block, and thought a continuation of 'Catching the Snitch' would be a good basis for a story. When I looked at the plot line I'd planned for the fourth and subsequent chapters, I realized that my characterization of Draco had strayed from the one in the original story and was in fact far closer to the Draco in my story Not Just Friends Anymore. That Draco is my ideal Draco but quite frankly, not the Draco portrayed in Catching the Snitch. That story is about pursuit and possession/obsession and Draco as a Slytherin, prepared to go to any extreme to get what he wants. So, although it was hard, I changed my plot line to make it darker and more like the original characterization of Draco. Had I not done that, I would have felt that I was cheating somehow. Now for the question that I don't want to answer but will. Was it rape? Ginny said no and Draco ignored it in order to prove his power over her. Doesn't matter that Ginny's body responded ... she didn't want it and said no. That's rape. Believe me, I never thought I would write a rape scene and it was very hard to write and I almost said - can't do it, back to fluffy Draco. But I did write it and it does have a point in my plot line. Thank you to everyone who has read so far and reviewed. I really did start out to write three or so chapters of my usual romantic mini-drama but was seduced by the darker side of Draco.

I love this story to pieces but this chapter is very upsetting. I know you have a master plan and that this is important for the plot, but how is their relationship going to recover from rape? Please don't think this is a hate review or anything, because I do like this story and I am going to keep reading it. I am just a little worried about the believability of it.

I've changed my mind. . Draco (even though one of the hottest, scratch that THE hottest, and one of the most misunderstood characters in harry potter ((i can hope)) IS A BASTARD) I know. . . again with the bastard stuff. . . but seriously, I hope Ginny kicks his ass, or at least gives him an earful. I mean a relationship that was still kinda fragile like theirs cant just recover from this, hell I'd kill em if any guy did that to me! But its good. . not fluff anymore, but thats good!. . update soon!

::grinds teeth:: .... GRRR. . . I know i know u warned me. . but I just cant get over the fact of how much of a BASTARD draco is in this chapter! I mean, its necessary to the plot, HOW THE HECK IS GINNY SUPPOSED TO FORGIVE HIM NOW!??!?!?!? stupid stupid stupid stupid draco! Ugh he is such a freaking ass! lol srry for the language but im just mad he was such a bastard in this chapter!! Good writing though, and I cant wait to see how he makes it up to her (if he can, wait ARE they getting back together? cuz i mean seriously how is he going to make up THIS, i mean technically, this is raping) Awaiting next chapter! Chappie w/o bastardly Draco?!?!
Name: Shades of Gray reviewed Dodging bludgers on Nov 01, 2004 10:29 am
Well Damn that certainly screws (a milder therm than i was thinking) up the relationship. Draco's inner demon comes out- making him more like Lucius than he thinks (i wonder if he realizes that?). At least its not pure fluff anymore - its good that a bit of Draco's personality is coming out - How he does not like being told no . I have to wonder how their relationship will recover from this. It would be perfectly within Ginny's rights to kick his sorry ass to the curb because Ginny would have to be crazy to let him back in her life after this. But then again- every story needs some turmoil. I can't wait to see the Weasley's reaction Lucius's news.

Author's Response: No, it's not pure fluff anymore and fluff won't reappear for at least another chapter or more.
