I echo many the sentiments of the other reviewers; this truly is a perfect and most beautiful story.
I've read the story at least 5 times and it hasn't lost any of its strength. Your style of writing, the narrative and attention to details, the honesty echoed in the thoughts of the trio and the emotion behind the story is just overwhelming.

I've always thought that the power of fanfiction is most potent and apparent in one-shots, because there you can write a short story, a few pen strokes of emotion and plot that despite their shortness are complete, because you have all the canon background.
I simply love this story. Thank you.

This was exquisite. It takes a certain amount of craft to capture and evoke a reader’s emotions alongside the main players in a piece as you did. I can’t really recall the last time a work of writing got my chest aching as much as this did. Really marvelous job.

I've been put off reading this for a very long time as I thought it would be too sad for me - I never thought I would like stories with angst.
But recently I have read a few stories which have made me realise that angst doesn't necessarily mean a story with no hope or an unbearably miserable ending.

Your story is a perfect example of that, a beautifully written tale which, yes, is a sad and horrible tale; but one with some sort of hope running through it.

And I love that, I love the thought that even through the worst of things there can be something or someone to cling to.

Thank you for the wonderful one shot.

I've read this twice. The first time I cried. This time I can't even do that. It is beyond words and beyond tears. It is love. In its purest form. The quote made me want to wail. I can't possibly express how much I loved this. In this fic Ginny only speaks twice and the only reason Draco opens his mouth is to throw up. And yet I have rarely read something so expressive. They have their scars and they have each other. It is perfect.

Hmm, I actually don´t remember whether I´ve reviewed this before, but let´s just say that I found it very touching and heart-breaking. It was recced to me over at FictionAlley, and I am very glad for that. Brilliant writing.

It was beautiful, really. It was a long time since I felt so moved with a story. And thank you for the final quote, it is one of the most beautiful descriptions of love I've read. Thank you.

That was really really beautiful. You've captured a fragile sentiment here, and I felt all sad reading this. Sometimes it doesn't matter that it's two characters in a fanfic story, sometimes it's just two people clinging to each other because they have to. Very poignant.

It's times like these when I wish I had a bigger vocabulary, so that I could find the exact word to describe how moving and haunting this story is. A good piece of fiction follows you - and this piece refused to leave me alone, the last line was beautiful, really brought it all home.

One of the best pieces of writing (fanfiction wise) I've ever read. :)

I find most times with one-shots that I want more. I want to know why they're there and how they got there. Even though it is only from Harry, Ron and Hermione's POV's, it's enough for me. It's so hauntingly beautiful. And Ron, realizing that Ginny always knew he wouldn't save her, to me, was the most poignant part of the story. It was him realizing that Draco was her Auror.

I love it. I read it everytime it pops up on the story of the moment. And I fall a little bit more in lvoe with it each time.

There's a word in the English language that I believe is perfect for this fic, I believe that word is WOW. That's all I have to say.

I read until I realized who was speaking, and then I read it all over again from that point of view because it added so much more. This is really heart-wrenchingly beautiful. I would have enjoyed something from either Draco or Ginny, but it really wasn't neccesary. The power of companionship especially through tough times is a universal truth that is innately understood, and Draco and Ginny's perspectives were not needed to show the bond they had formed. Simply lovely in the purest, deepest form. Thankyou.

I think the best aspect of this story is that there were millions of places where you could have fallen into tired cliches, but you never did. Not once. and if there was a cliche it still seemed new and fresh, so that it wasn't a commonplace anymore.
