haha, that was great! first d/g poem i've read. i guess its kinda late for an x-mas poem, how bout a new year one too?

Author's Response: Yikes - you want more? LOL! I need to think of some classic poems that I can parody. Maybe I'll turn my sights to song lyrics - sort of the opposite of a song fic. Thanks.

Le squee! I love it!

Author's Response: Thanks. I'm just tickled pink that people read it and liked it. I thought last year's version (which was a tribute to my favourite hockey team) was better but I'm so pleased I was able to make you laugh. I seriously don't have the discipline to bring the plot bunnies in my head to fruition but I spent an entire week writing this. Go figure! To everyone who reviewed - thank you. I am now officially a review whore and I swear I will always review fics from now on. This is fun!

This has to be one of the cutest things I've ever read. When I read, "His chin, how it pointed!" - I cracked up laughing! What a great tribute to your favorite stories and authors; nice work. (And yes, writing parodies can be such fun!) :D

Author's Response: Thank you Sue. FYI - your fic Unbidden Desires is one of my faves but I just couldn't get the words to flow correctly in the poem.

*claps* I don't know how you do it. I love parodies. If you have any more D/G, please post them. Great job. I've printed this out and put it on my bulletin board in my office and I think my editor believes that I am a bit mad. Adorable.

Author's Response: I'm so pleased you liked it. I lOVE, LOVE, LOVE your story - hope it will be continued again.

what a fine parody indeed! and now of course I have a tidy list of fanfic authors. Thanks!

Author's Response: You're welcome. There are many, many more authors whose fics I did not get to mention.

okay normally i'm wary of poetry because people make up really stupid rhymes that don't make sense and while there were a few confused lines most of it was WONDERFUL, lol i laughed SO HARD the entire time and some of those lines were really really clever! And i loved that you added in fanfics that we could identify with and cheer on (yay dark directed!) this was really fabulous and i'm still laughing!

Author's Response: Thank you, thank you. The great part about parodies is that stupid rhymes are allowed. My favourite part was trying to rhyme "his chin how it pointed".

Awesome! this was just-just.... I can't even find words. Although you seem to have managed. It's a great idea, and I hope you get some interesting plot bunnies of your own this christmas. :)

Author's Response: Thanks Dex (hey - when are you updating your story again?!).

LOVED IT!!! I may use it as my desktop background for the holidays, it was so great!! I love that you mentioned specific fics (I hope no one left out was offended) and people we all know. Sigh. Merry Christmas!! PS- Draco in leather? Yes!

Author's Response: Let me just echo that I had many, many more fics that I wanted to include but there's only so much room and its hard to get the right flow. And interestingly, the part about Draco in leather came to me very easily!
