Very nice beginning. Ginny is a dear.

Favourite line?

"If I worked for Percy, he'd probably make me live in the office anyway. Y'know, just to make sure no cauldron escaped intense scrutiny."

ARGH! I was surfing through jandjsalmon's Featured list and came across this. I thought "Why not?" and you completely sucked me in. Well done! I absolutely loved this story and it's going in my favourites. I fell in love with Draco again too (not that you can fall OUT of love with him, our love's just been a bit stagnant recently :P).

I loved how Draco's confession of love just slipped out and how Ginny just STARED and then they started arguing. *giggles* But my favourite bit was me smirking knowledgeably at what I knew was going to happen and them being completely oblivious to the whole falling in love bit. Did I say I loved it? Thanks for a great read!

Thank You! The ending made me so happy! I love the part where Draco changes face and sais "That is, of course, untill you get old and become rubbish at the game." It made me laugh out loud.

This is such a great idea!! haha It kind of reminds me of "Quidditch" meets "Real World". It's got so many different possibilities, and I'm loving Ginny's inner monologue. Well done! :oD

Ohhhh! I loved this story. It was perfect and beautiful and funny and true and I am not comparing all my future love stories to this one. It made me cry and laugh and smile and sigh. I love Ginny's character in this. Thanks so much for writing this story!

cute, funny, witty... i loved it!

side note: the arrows were CONSTANTLY reminding me of my Minnesota Twins (of course I'm a hardcore fan) throughout this fic (the whole relying on the farm team, small budget, etc.) and then it turns out Ginny's trade is like Mientkiewicz's! Of course! (that was very sad. I still remember it. And Mientkiewicz, like Ginny, was too good for the Twins to afford.)

Anyway, the whole baseball connection just made things better. And I'm sure the Metrodome cheered for him, too.

Author's Response: Yay! It's always nice to meet another Twins fan. :) I did make a conscious decision to base the Arrows on what I knew of the Twins, though the Doug-inspired trade didn't cross my mind until much later. I got a great feel of Doug's trade from Bat-Girl's website - check out her July 2004 archives.

I absolutely cannot believe that I've never read this before. It's nine kinds of wonderful. I laughed out loud several times, but my favorite line was, "I pictured Malfoy on the pitch, standing before a dozen corpses, while Andrew patted him on the back, saying, "Oh, that's a shame. Well, don't let it happen again, my boy," and then buying him an ice cream afterwards. Brilliant. Brilliant!
I totally agree with Ginny that right bastards have no business looking like sex on a stick, and I completely adored the alarm clock. The picture of them playing with McVities was funny, too. My kids won't even touch them, no wonder they had an abundance in the house.

But I digress. This was wonderfully written, terribly witty, the dialogue was sharp and true to the charaters, and I loved it to itty bitty pieces. Would you consent to having it read on a podcast someday? *bats eyelashes*

Thanks!

Author's Response: Gasp! My story in a podcast? That would be the most fantastic thing ever! Thanks! And it seems I'm in the minority, but I've enjoyed the occasional digestive, and not even the chocolate kind.

O. M. G. That was gorgeously IC and beautifully funny and I loved it. Such a nice, light romance. :) Nothing like anything I could ever write, but...beautiful! Brava!

There have been other trades like that. I know the Oakland A's manager Billy Beane did to someone probably five or six years ago.

Great story. I love how you've given quidditch a few baseball qualities: trades, spring training, three game series, farm systems. Really great. I had actually thought of writing a piece giving quidditch players the characteristics of most baseball players. And your writing just throws out some of the funniest lines.

Really enjoyed it.

I loved it! I got to this line:

"And, you know, it wouldn't all be slander, seeing as at least I'm in love with you," he said.

And I swear my stomach did this funny little jump thing.

Absolutely beautiful last chapter although it left me for more, wondering how Draco and Ginny will continue their relationship when they're on different teams (given that Draco is still playing with the Arrows next year)...well, I'm glad I stuck with the story for so long and the wait was well worth it :D
