What you are writing does indeed sound like how Ginny and Harry's life would be post Voldermort. I don't know how she put up with it for so long. And there goes Molly all running to Harry's side over her own daughter! I know she was trying to be sympathetic but come on, we really know who she favors in the relationship.

I like the way the breakup worked. The emotions were realistic.

Aw, I knew this was coming! And not just because this is the fire and ice archive, but because you wrote your story so well! The way you describe your characters is enough for me to picture exactly how they would look and imagine how I would feel in that situation! I love this fic! Keep up with the updates!

I really like where this fic is going. Up to this chapter (3) it's been mostly set-up, but I am very curious about the Draco-Ginny interaction it is leading to.

The only thing is, Ginny seems to merit very little sympathy. I'm just wondering--is that on purpose? Because she seems willing to put very little effort into her relationship with Harry, and wants him to change his entire life. Does she love him? Will we find out more?

Well, I guess I'll go read more of the already posted chapters!

Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing! Hmm...to me, it doesn't seem like she puts little effort into her relationship; maybe I should have showed more of it, though. Here's a girl who has been waiting for Harry to finish his quest for years, and then their life turns out so differently than she was hoping. I think this is a very realistic thing to happen to teenage relationships - dreams and fantasies are very different than everyday life with another person (esp. one with as much baggage as Harry) and Ginny is just tired of it. Anyway, I never intended to make this into a particularly sympathetic and nice!Ginny. She has an edge to her, the way I see her, which is why I like D/G so much. There's the thing that happened with the Voldie's diary (a bit of which will come into play later) and a rather explosive character that is all her own, and I don't think she'd be too rational and thoughtful in a relationship. I hope you'll enjoy the story as it develops. :) You will definitely find out more about Ginny's motivations.
