What a sweet chapter! Such a nice, relaxing interlude. My favorite part was that everyone knowing about the raid, despite Draco's best efforts to keep them in the dark. I also liked that Ron made the effort to let Draco know how it went--it shows just how many inroads Draco has made into the Weasley family. Thanks for the update!

Author's Response: Thanks! Too many people knew about the raids for Draco to successfully keep his secret ;) Ron is a sweetie at heart, even if he pretends he doesn't really like Draco *g*

I loved this bit:

"It's okay, darling, it's not like you need any of that rubbish, especially the 'Whopping Willy'— Good Merlin! What would I do with you if you took that?"

"Here open that while their brains are still calling their ears liars."

It's hilarious and it makes me laugh every time.

Author's Response: Thanks! I rather like that bit myself *g* Teasing the Weasley boys is such fun!

I finally found time to read your story and once again: I just love the new chapter. Especially this one is great. The scenes at the Burrow were really cool, how the boys tricked Draco into playing Quidditsch and then the almost accident. And I totally had to laugh at the scene with the lingerie :D Nice one!

I hope you update soon and keep up that great work you're doing! :D

Author's Response: Thank you :) The boys picked the soft target, but Draco won't be letting them get away with that again ;) Fred and George now have some grief coming their way ;)

Author's Response: Thanks! I update as quickly as I'm able :)

I really can't believe they would accept lingerie from the twins; something was bound to go wrong. The end was especially entertaining, and the rest was as good as usual. I'm glad Ron's going to see reason re the house sitch, and the boys are getting so grown up, flying alone. Quick question: how far along are Pansy and Ginny? I can't remember

Author's Response: Ginny is certainly kicking herself now for trusting her twin brothers to have bought her something nice ;P Ron just needed the right person to talk him into it ;) The boys are growing up and wanting to stretch their little wings, much to their mothers' horror. Ginny is 23 weeks and Pansy is 27 weeks in this chapter :) Thanks!

thankyou for the super great chapter! Enjoyed every moment of it, but I do feel sorry for Draco, that was more than cheeky from Fred and George... I smell revenge! revenge!!

Author's Response: Thanks! Draco will get his revenge ;)

That was lovely. I can't wait to see Ginny and Draco's revenge. I expect Ron'll be taking Parkinson's house now? I'm surprised that none of the boys pointed out to Arthur Ron's refusal to help Draco out because he isn't blood.

Author's Response: Thanks! Draco and Ginny will get their own back ;) Ron has made his mind up once and for all about their living arrangements. The boys are more inclined to take care of matters themselves, than to tattle to dad ;)

Ohmigod!! It was sooo good! Ginny should have KNOWN not to wear anything from Fred and George. I can't wait to find out what Draco's revenge will be!

Author's Response: Thanks! Well, Ginny never thought that her brothers would do something like that and there wasn't a WWW tag in sight ;) The Weasley twins will most certainly feel his displeasure ;)

Oh, I can't wait to see what kind of revenge Ginny and Draco plot against Fred and George!

I really like the way that Draco is starting to integrate into the Weasley family. With every chapter, it becomes clearer that the brothers are starting to consider him one of their own. They still torment him, but the tormenting is more the same kinds of things they do to each other, rather than the malicious things they did earlier on. And they include him now in things that might fall under the realm of "family business". They'll even take his side against the others! Anyway, I just wanted to say how much I like the way you've shown that evolution.

Thanks for the update!

Author's Response: Thanks! It's happened very gradually and almost subconsciously, so I'm very pleased :) Fred and George are going to be in a world of hurt *nods*

Oh God how funny! I cant decide if the little boys connin Draco in to letting them fly, is funnier than Draco walking in on Ron & Pansy. Or the twins gift is funnier than Ginny telling Draco he was a bigger princess than Angel. There were so many funy instants I'll be laughing all day. Great update Thanks!

Author's Response: Thank you :) It certainly wasn't poor Draco's day ;)

That was a nice chapter. And that was really sweet when Courtney gave Draco that daisy. Great Job!

So are you going to post the stories about the future of D&A?

From what I can tell you have other stories elsewhere. You should really post them on here so i could read them. I would love to read them!

Author's Response: Most that can be posted here are here, apart from the future cookies attached to D&A and ANSSKOL. All my fics are posted at the yahoo group I gave you the address for before :)

I LOVE that expression "with the stealth of a cat on the prowl" to describe Draco after he arrived home. Since I have three cats, I can picture how it would look. Can't read to read the next installment!

Author's Response: Thanks! Draco is blessed that he can sneak around like that ;) The next installment will be posted in the coming weeks :)

I loved this chapter, anyone who has had their birthday forgotten, or has forgotten a birthday can identify with the great save Draco made. Narcissa's gift of the spa, is that where Ginny will hear or read the artical in the quibbler? I love this story, and go through withdrawal between chapters. Thanks for a great chapter, update soon

Author's Response: Thank you :) Draco couldn't just admit that he forgot, because that just wouldn't have been right (and may very well have endangered his comfortable existence *wink*). Ginny will read the Quibbler article very soon ;)
Name: joliefille reviewed Close to Catastrophe on Nov 25, 2007 11:10 pm
Good thing Narcissa's around, or Draco would've been totally screwed. I'm a bit worried about Lucius's reaction to the raids, though. He isn't doing Dark things anymore, is he? Although it would mean conflict of a non-domestic sort, so that would be an interesting change of pace. And the image of Draco eating dessert like Ron made me smile. He's becoming more and more like his "dreaded" in-laws by the day

Author's Response: Narcissa did what any mother would do - she saved her son's life ;) The raids are periodical things and Lucius, while irritated by them, is quite accustomed to having their privacy breached. He doesn't do 'dark' things anymore, but the Ministry isn't entirely convinced or at least they're concerned about artefacts making their way out of storage. Draco would be mortified to be compared to Ron, but he is picking up some bad habits, or have they always been there? Thanks!

Oh yay! What a treat that chapter was. I love how Draco seemed to squeak by with this one. I wonder if Ginny will ever find out and if she will even care as he obviously loves her and cares about her and the children. I almost wish that I had not stumbled onto this story until it was done so that I could avoid the torture of waiting for new chapters! *sigh* I know that genius should never be rushed though, so I shall wait patiently like a good little addict.;)

Author's Response: Thank you :) Actually, you're the first to pose the question of whether Ginny would really care if she found out after his efforts ;)

I know. *sigh*
Poor, poor Draco. lol.

Hopefully he will have a good excuse - like saying he actually did remember, BUT he didn't want Harry or Ron to know. That could work. hmmmm...

Author's Response: Do you really think Harry or Ron, if given the opportunity, would let him get away with that?
