This story is amazing. I love the plot (I am familiar with HYD and even if you drew inspiration from it, you definitely "improved" it) and your writing style is magnificent!
Kudos!

As a fan of HYD, I am a huge fan of this story — especially since when I was watching it (the LA. I love Matsumoto Jun) I, too, was picturing D/G — and I love the way you've twisted the HYD story and your own together to make sense. (tbh, I feel like your story makes more sense than HYD; that show required an intense suspension of disbelief regarding the character of that high school)

Anyway, I just wanted to drop in and say that I really have enjoyed this. I've read it once before — but that was when it only had 11 chapters or so — and i love it even more now.

I know that it's been a long while since you've updated (which is something that I am personally acquainted with) and I was just wondering if this was abandoned. Either way. I'll be following it. Excellent, excellent work. Your writing is lovely, the story is an incredibly original take, and you've breathed new depths into the characters: both the HP and HYD characters. I find myself enjoying both stories in new and awesome ways.

Thank you for exploring this AU. I adore it. You are wonderful. xx

I've been following this fic for a very long time and even if I don't always review, I'm always reading. I actually sat down and entirely re-read the fic after I put it on my e-reader. I have multiple comments. 1) Thank you so much for not having Harry in this at all. He tends to get on my nerves. 2) I love this AU concept. It seems like a realistic alternative to the happily ever after that the HP series shows us.

Also, I'd love to see an update soon! I just find this so cute and it's one of the very few not naughty fics I actually read! So pretty please, update?

Hope, I can not believe that I've been reading this story for the past 6 years and it's still as exciting as it was when I first read it. You are the reason why I started watching all of these K-Drama's and though I know how HYD ends, I enjoy your interpretation and turning it into the D&G because it fits so well. I will continue to read as long as you continue to write! GJ as always.

Author's Response: Thanks Rashonda!! Your continued support means a lot!! When I stop and think that I've been writing this for 6 years, I have to remember that there are a few who have been READING it for 6 years. That's pretty incredible!!

" And, seriously, if you ever feel so inspired to write those NC-17 outtakes, that would be great!"

Okay, I rarely write updated review-y type things, but this was too good to pass up. ;) If they ever get to the point where said NC-17 activity would be hinted at, then I definitely will. And maybe, just maybe, that'll be a tad bit inspiring, too. :)

Author's Response: Fabulous!!

THIS! This is exactly what I wanted! There were so many parts that I simply had to take a moment to stop reading and squeal because it was just too cute/perfect/amazing/romantic/lovely. I particularly loved "I feel it all for you" (basically that entire scene) and the gifts :)
I think I mention this every time I review, but Crossing Into Chaos is my absolute favourite fan fiction. I've had a crazy busy, stressful week, and seeing that this story was updated completely uplifted my spirits. Please update soon! You're awesome.

Author's Response: Thank you!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it - I knew I had to throw in a few sweet moments between the two, otherwise some readers might be out of my blood! I've got some time off in December, so I'm hoping to squeeze out another chapter early in the new year!

You know, the Draco-being-summoned-by-his-father thing... I've just got a bad, bad feeling about it. Near-infinite possibilities of terrible ways that one could work out.

Anyway, thanks for updating! :) This really is a great fic, and I'm so glad that it continues to live. It's just one of the best explorations of a D/G relationship ever. As much as we WANT them to get together, and WANT Ginny to just give in, we know why she can't, and why she really shouldn't at this point. The ominous promises that things will get darker are a little nerve-wracking. I'm glad I haven't seen HYD, actually, and I don't plan to. It will all be a surprise. ;) I hope you continue to be inspired! (Oh yeah, and remember that if you ever want anyone to write those NC-17 outtakes... )

Author's Response: Thank you! It definitely doesn't bode well for Draco. Although, I hope I haven't been over-selling how 'dark' things are about to become. And you're right - there are so many reasons why Ginny should not give in to Draco and just be with him - but Draco is certainly starting to wear down her resistance! We'll be exploring the flip side of that coin - so far, a lot of focus has been on why it's so dangerous for GINNY to be involved with Draco, but what, if any, are the consequences for him? And, seriously, if you ever feel so inspired to write those NC-17 outtakes, that would be great! I tried really hard to add in some of Draco's inner thoughts during their little interlude in her flat, but ultimately had to scrap it and write it entirely from her POV - it just wasn't good.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CAN WE NOT GO THE WAY SEASON 2 DID WITH THE NON-FIANCEE GIRL? PLEASE I BEG YOU IMPLORE YOU! I don't want to be spoilery :( but are we going that way...?
Now that that's out of the way, Hello! I love HYD and you've put an awesome D/G twist to it. I'm enjoying it a lot and sometimes Ginny flickers into Makino and Draco into Doumyouji but they'res still distinctly Draco and Ginny. I like what you've done with Crabbe and Goyle and Tonks. Just. aslkfhaj. Your Draco is sooooo endearing and I think you've done a a great job with the jumper and dragon necklace as a way of making HYD elements into your own and making it more D/G. Oh and can I just say I like all the dragon reference bits all over CIC. It just works for me. :)) Take care!

Oh she's going home to the Weasleys right? Are we ever going to see Draco among the Weasleys? Like in HYD? Or is that spoilery?:))I'm sorry!

Author's Response: Hmm... I don't know what to say.... Well, I guess I could try to reassure you that it won't be *exactly* like season 2. There's going to be some higher stakes at play for these two, and a few different twists. Draco is quite a bit more mature (and smarter, lol) than Doumyouji, so we'll see how differently he might handle the situation, especially considering the backstory. And, no, I don't believe we'll be seeing Draco among the Weasleys... not for a looong time yet. They're too much of a roadblock - if they had any hint that their precious baby girl had the only Malfoy heir sniffing around, Molly Weasley would be all Mama Bear and that would be the end of Draco in a quick moment, hehe.

I like dosed level of fluff:)) just reading your reply to one of the reviews: will they come back to question of price? “Everyone could be bought"?

Author's Response: Ten points to Gryffindor!

Thank you for updating, it is great that you have not abandoned it. I like Draco's possessiveness and how Ginny gradually appreciates him more, it feel as very natural progression and not forced in any way. A question: HYD strikes me as very cute and fluffy in some way and CIC is different, fluffiness is not there (good thing in my books :), so will you follow the HYD story line or will you change it? I hope this is generic enough question and it will not be spoiler for anybody

Author's Response: Hi there, thanks for commenting! And nope, your question isn't really a spoiler. While there definitely is a healthy dose of fluff in HYD, I actually find the story a bit dark - I mean, kids kidnapping other kids and beating them to a pulp, the main love interest basically going on a hunger strike in order to be with the girl he loves, amnesia... Which fits quite nicely with the CIC universe, where everything is pretty dark. Draco and Ginny have their own kind of fluffiness (his telling her that she's plain looking is his way of telling her she looks pretty, his way of spoiling her is to kidnap her for a weekend getaway, etc), but they aren't going to be the cuddles & giggles kind of couple. And now, we've reached the point in the HYD narrative where the REALLY dark stuff starts to creep in, so I would predict that things don't really get all that fluffy from here on out. There will be pockets of it (otherwise, how can you support this couple if it's all tragedy and tears??), but not a great deal. They're teenagers from opposite factions falling in love during a war.

Yay update! I'm super intrigued with where you will take this story. I think you've done an excellent job with using the HYD idea and really giving it your own twist. I also like that Draco is well aware that he isn't perfect and he doesn't seem to be trying to pretend he is or can be. The characters seems so realistic. I can't wait to see what his father wants from him! It's an interesting twist to have both parents there to cause him trouble. And what will the Weasleys think!? In this whole new type of world you have to wonder how they will react to Ginny's involvement with Draco. Until next time!

Author's Response: Thanks for commenting! I have to admit, I haven't really given the Weasleys a whole lot of consideration. They're more on the periphery of the story - but that's because if they WERE involved, there would be absolutely NO WAY Draco would ever come within 2 feet of Ginny ever again! So, they're a bit of a roadblock to their relationship, that's for sure. But, you may see them pop up at some point down the road.

Wasn't Angelicue the one Draco danced with on that ball were they snuck Ginny in?

I'm so happy to see the update, it's always such a pleasant surprise.

It's good to see that Draco and Ginny's relationship is progressing. But while he has his friends guarding her I don't think he's aware enough of the danger she's in. I think his arrogance is to blame. He is sure that he can handle this. Of course, his parents could always force a marriage on him. It's not clear whether he is ready to defy them. It would also cost him a lot.

Thank you so much for the update!!

Author's Response: Thanks for the comment! With regards to Draco's arrogance, you might be on to something there... hehehe. The biggest question between these two will come back to something Malfoy said way back in Chapter 5...
