I like that Ginny and Draco each seem to be developoing qualities from the other's perspective house. I always felt that each House had it's strong points, and it's weaknesses. There's no inherent good or evil about any one of them and developing qualities mostly found a particular house isn't a bad thing...in my personal opinion.
I know reviews are supposed to be about the writing, and I do LOVE your style (and I admit to being picky about style and writing quality I compliment)and your writing quality is excellent. But since it is so good, I find myself commenting on the story arc and characters and getting too caught up in it to stop and pick apart the imagery and wording. Hope you don't mind. :)

Is it wrong that I love Jonathan even more now that I know he plans to kill Ginny later on?

haha! I LOVE PIERCE'S MIND! HE CRACKS ME UP WITH SO MUCH LAUGHTER!

~I love the chapter. Even the sneakness of the Prof.~
Name: Caroline reviewed Misplaced Faith on Jan 11, 2007 03:59 am
wow, this might be the best chapter yet.
The start with Ginny and her not liking herself, was really frustrating to read. She just really anoyed me. Maybe beacause I like the change and don't understand why she doesn't? *shrug*
The DE meating, it was something that struck me. The ones who says that Pierce is failing and using to much time, do they have a better plan then?
And the conversation at the end were just brilliant!

I love this story I can't wait for more. (I think this is the longest review I ever written:P)

I have to say that last line is one of the best I've ever read. I love Pierce. Truly I do. Thanks for a brillant chapter.
Name: Embellished reviewed Misplaced Faith on Jan 07, 2007 12:38 pm
That was an excellent last line. I also enjoyed Ginny's teenage angsting in this chapter--it was quite realistic. Thanks for the update!
Name: Moonyk reviewed Misplaced Faith on Jan 07, 2007 05:20 am
That last line caused me to break into this huge grin ever so slowly. It's so sadistic, I LOVE IT! Oh cheers!!! And Ginny's too Gryffindor here, all concience and what not. Don't leave Draco!!!

But I like that whole part about change. You really put alot of thought into your chapters, kudos to you. Now I need to go and ponder over this.

Cheerio!

I love that he can smile charmingly at her and plot her death at the same time. Hell, if I were him I'd be doing the same.

I adore Pierce. A perverse part of me wants him to never show his colors; I just have this image in my head of him at the final battle, sitting on the sidelines with a soda and popcorn, just watching and waiting to see who wins so he can swoop in and aid their cause. The funny thing I find is that he is manipulating Draco and Ginny by giving good advice, ironic is it not?
Name: Scarlett Rayne reviewed Misplaced Faith on Jan 06, 2007 02:55 pm
Why oh why can't I hate Professor Pierce? I mean the last line itself "Pierce inclined his head, responding with a kindly smile of his own…and absently wondered how best to go about killing her if the time came." says he's evil squared but then he has this touching moment with Ginny. And poor Draco. So angry, so confused, so utterly adorable. I do hope that he doesn't act like an arse much when Ginny apoligizes to him.

Can't wait for the next update!!

Hmm...I am not sure whether I should congratulate you on writing such a good story or curse you :-) Considering that my exams are next week and i just spent about 4 hours reading all of it when I was just planning to take a short dinner break...damn! But hey, update all you want especially after the 16th because it's brilliant ;-)

Pierce is such a complex character. I can't wait to see how he get's the two of them back together.

You know, I really don't want to sound dense or anything, but... Is pierce really bad. Because for a minute there I thought he was good

Author's Response: Haha don't worry, you don't sound dense at all. In fact, I'm TRYING to write Pierce so that you're left wondering which side he's really on...if he's on a side at all. It's a bit scary for me every time I sit down to write (I risk confusing the heck out of everyone lol), but I really wanted to throw in that bit of curiousity to keep people wondering. SO, in other words, I can't answer that question. All I'll say is that you'll find out eventually.
Name: Rashonda reviewed Misplaced Faith on Jan 06, 2007 01:15 pm
Jonathan is one scary mofo. One minute he's plotting Gin's death and the next giving her sound advice. If he could kill his own mother easily, he surely won't have any qualms about killing Gin, it's all the same to him. I'd just hope that he'd feel some kind of guilt for the things he has or will do in the future pertaining to all involved. Also, please allow Ginny to someone keep her threat of making Draco pay for putting his hands on her I believe it's the third or fourth time he's done so without her showing him she'd actually do something to protect herself against him, even though he really wasn't intent on really hurting her. I enjoyed this chapter overall though. Can't wait to read what happens next.

Pierce fought the urge to roll his eyes. So it was a teenage identity crisis. Just what he wanted to deal with. “Do you dislike him?” he asked.

Pierce inclined his head, responding with a kindly smile of his own…and absently wondered how best to go about killing her if the time came.

It's lines like those that show why I voted for you...

How does the world continue to go on when there's a man like that around??? It's amazing how he goes from having touching heart-to-hearts, and then has murderous thoughts. The scary thing is that, sure, in time, he MAY grow some semblance of a conscience and not want to kill Ginny, but right now, I think that if killing her were the most "reasonable" option he had left, he'd do it without any qualms.

He's so scary.

Ohhhh...Dun dun duuuuun! Poor Draco. I look forward to seeing how they end up working their spat out. And also look forward to seeing Pierce fall flat on his arse when the time comes. *crosses fingers in hope*

Proffesor Pierce... teacher by day and Oprah by night... I enjoy im even though he is a filthy death eater in disguise! But a likeable one at that! Loved the fight and revelations in this chapter! I ahve always been a fan of your work and this one is no expection! I love the relationship that both Draco and Ginny have formed... it was really real in this chapter... how people that you meet everyday change eachother and become changed in turn... for better or worse! Anyway cannot wait until your next update!
