Still love your story... This was a great update and I loved the emotion you portrayed of Draco's feelings of home. That was particularly wonderful the old feelings harbored inside from his past... Wwwaaahhhh!!!! WHY did you have to put poor Draco through that?!! Watching his father *disintegrate* before his eyes, by his own hand? Gah! That's sick!

That being said, I honestly think your artistic choices in this story are spot-on, including having Draco watch his father disintegrate before his very eyes by his own hand. You know, I was terrified throughout his entire scene in Malfoy Manor. I was really not sure what to expect.

Also, good decision not to show Harry's POV, it really is irrelevant. I've been thinking of other good decisions of yours--like killing Pierce when you did. I felt like it was a teensy bit early and unresolved when I first read it, but somehow, as I kept going in the story, I didn't feel the loss of his character. You got rid of him as soon as he was no longer needed for the sake of the story, and it was just perfect timing. So, kudos.

And the Nott/Ginny flirting in this chapter? Totally adorable. So does Nott have the hots for her, or what?

Now there's nothing to look forward to, except a teeny epilogue and loads of emotions to deal with. Oh, and then there's that other book coming out Saturday. Maybe that'll be able to tide me over until you post the epilogue.

I just want to say that I've been enjoying this work very much. As I have with your other works. So thank you so much for the great and wonderfully long story. I love long stories.

Some interesting elements with Naomi and Pierce. Not just the parallels, of course. But introducing original characters, especially ones that have so much storytime and importance, can be sticky. But you created interesting characters.

Pierce for all of his horror, was three-dimensional and not wholly, seemingly, evil. His love for Naomi seemed genuine, but of course not enough when compared to his ambition and pride. Naomi was less well-developed for the obvious reasons, but still has some interesting facets. I like that you made her a Ravenclaw. Nice touch.

But of course the reluctant love that developed between Draco and Ginny was what it's about and it was great. It's hard to write stories with such well-known elements by now. Draco back at school somehow after the events of HPB, no Trio at school and Ginny slowly getting to know/love Draco. But what defines good stories aren't just that they're new, but how well they handle even that which is familiar.
So again, brava!

I look forward to the epilogue and your next piece.

I'm shocked! Having Lucius die like that guy in "Who framed Roger Rabbit" was heartbreaking. Maybe it's just that I happen to like Lucius so much. But well he deserved it in your story. I knew it wouldn't be that easy but I never expected Lucius to be the one spoiling the party. I like Nott. Please let him be free and happy? Maybe get a girl on his own? And now we have to wait until the Archive re-opens. I'm starting to think you had it all planned... Blame the Cabal! Ok, just because I know it will be so good, I'll wait patiently.
