Wow, i thought it was Draco pinning after Ginny. I had to do a double take at the end. And then promptly re-read the whole thing and it became an entire new story all the sudden. So awesome.

Awww
That's sad. =(
The ENTIRE time I thought it was Malfoy narrating until it said "her beautiful red hair partially obscured by the palest blond of his as he bent and captured her lips in a kiss."
This is really poignant
*smiles* good work

Oh My God.
My heart was in my throat from the beginning; the sheer torture that the protagonist was going through as he described the agony of not realising his feelings in time was so very vividly described. I thought it was Draco. I'm sure this was your intention and I bow to your overwhelming skill with the written word. Never before have I felt such a sudden shock without an inkling of it's presence beforehand. Absolutely amazing.
That brilliantly crafted build-up and subsequent surprise left me feeling such empathy with Harry that I don't think I've ever felt before. In some ways, I feel kind of guilty for it, as it didn't seem out of place when I though Draco was the one pining for Ginny. Hmm, quite odd. In any case, I adore this story and can't commend it enough.

If only this was a parallel universe to DH. I would give anything for this to have been the actual ending.

It was a joy reading this story and I look forward to reading more of your writing.

Author's Response: I'm happy to hear that I managed to fool you... and don't worry, plenty of others got turned around here, too. Glad you liked it!

Clever girl, clever girl. You really threw me for a loop there. I could've sworn it was Draco speaking. 'Course I like it much better this way...I think I almost squealed when I got to the last bit. Brilliant!

Author's Response: Thank you! *bows* And what kind of fluff writer would I be if I gave Ginny to Harry? ;)

Wow, I really thought that it was Draco watching the wedding. It was really good and I was really shocked, it a good way, though. I loved this tory. I love how Harry reads romance novels. That was too funny.

Author's Response: Hee hee, fooled another one! No, really, I'm glad I could keep you on the hook that long- that was exactly what I wanted this story to do. Glad you liked it!

Aww! She marries Draco not Harry! Ah, that was very well written! You totally had me there for a minute. I loved it and I thought it was a great read. Very clever!

Author's Response: I'm happy you liked it (and very happy that it fooled you for awhile). :D Thanks!

Aha! So I wrote a review that went along the lines of, "Call me stupid, but I actually thought this was from Draco's perspective"... until I read the other reviews.

Absolutely brilliant. And very sneaky, too.

Author's Response: *grins* Don't worry- I think most people felt a little duped, but that's what I was going for, so I'm thrilled it worked. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the review!

I know its been said about 38 times now, but making it seem like Draco is speaking rather than Harry was so very clever. Well written too. Thanks a bunch.

Author's Response: *giggles* Thirty-nine times is cool, too. :) Glad you liked it!
Name: Adelagia reviewed It Should Have Been Me on May 13, 2007 01:28 pm
Ooh, that was great, especially the way it was written so that we aren't quite sure who is speaking until the very end. I was all about to be in the throes of the "oh noes" and then it got better. Sneaky, you. :)

Author's Response: Not the 'Oh Noes'! Sneaky me, indeed, but my fluffy heart wouldn't let the narrator be Draco. :)

Name: MK Richie reviewed It Should Have Been Me on May 12, 2007 01:39 pm
Wow! This was soooo good and surprising! I thought for sure this was a story from Draco's perspective, not Harry's. Beautifully written, crafty and romantic. I have to tell you, I'm so glad it was Draco with Ginny in the end!

Author's Response: Well, I tried to make it seems as though it was from Draco's view, without actually lying to the reader, so I'm glad it worked out. Thanks for the review!
