What a beautifully poignant and harsh fic. It was like sandpaper rubbing against my skin to see Draco so uncomfortable in his skin. But it is this authenticity of your Draco that held me captive. And that last part was simply masterful. The revelation of Draco's bitter "heroism" was sublime, just sublime. Thank you so much for writing this. I loved it!

Dear Kate, I still don't have it in me to leave proper reviews like I used to do. However! I loved this fic! I adore alternating perspectives, and I think you've done it well...clear voices for each. I LOVE that they have a past between them that isn't all sunshine and daisies. And I especially love the ending. It's not super happy but it's satisfying and very them, if that makes sense. Lovely job, my dearest.

Again, I loved this short essay and I was so in love with it in the livejournal. I loved that after all that was said and done that they had the fiery passion still in them to love one another, I dig that!
