OMG! I was a huge fan of QL and fell in love with Sam. I think this is one of the most brilliant stories you have ever come up with. And having Sam leap into Draco ... inspired!! Can't wait to see how this one turns out!
Quatum Leap is one of my favorite scifi shows. I hope you continue with this story. :-)

I really am loving this story, and I don't think you need to have watched Quantum Leap to understand it. I have never seen QL, and have no problem following this story. It has great potential. The only thing I got confused at was before Sam introduced himself as Draco Malfoy. So, does Sam have to take over the body of someone from the time he's in?

I really liked it and thought it was a great new concept (though I'm a little sad about the stretches D/G-ers have to go now to conform to canon). It got me really intrigued and excited about what's to come. I just wish you'd explain how the whole leaping process works I read the wikipedia notes on it and all but I guess thata without actually watching the show I can't fully grasp it so if you could maybe break it down a little more for us next chapter, that'd be great. Well, thats it, please update soon, ok?
Author's Response: Basically, the way that leaping works is that Sam's soul takes possession of someone's body, while their soul is sent back to Sam's body, which is in what's called the waiting room. From about forty years in the future, the team of scientists and the semi-sentient supercomputer, Ziggy, look at the records and figure out what Sam is there to do - what went wrong that has to be put right. (Like, in one episode, Sam stops a girl from giving her baby up for adoption, in another episode he saves Jackie Kennedy from dying alongside JFK, stuff like that.) At the same secret research facility of the future that holds the waiting room, there's a holographic imaging chamber. That's how Al is able to be sent to the past as a hologram that only Sam can see and hear (which sometimes causes people to look at Sam like he's demented, as he's arguing with what appears to be thin air.) Al has a handheld computer that he uses to look things up and talk to Ziggy, and he's normally the only one from the future that Sam interacts with. Sometimes, if it's a special occasion, someone can come with Al if they maintain physical contact. That's going to be important! ;)

AHAHAHA a joke about all the women Sam plays! My favorite episode is still the one when he's in the beauty pageant and does that silly dance... *gets strange looks from everyone else* WHAT?! Another supurb chapter, I can't wait for more! This makes DH SO much more interesting... =D
I loved Quantum Leap, and I love how you combined these two. I was really pissed that JKR did not redeem Draco in the DH. She had the perfect opportunities to let him shine, but no, she gives him a receding hair line. *pout*
He he, I will have to check out the wiki link since it has been a long time since I watched Quantum Leap. (My comments last chapter were a mixture of people not knowing what the show was and if anyone dared to complain about you posting while the archive is 'shut down'.) I am really enjoying this fic and bits of the show are coming back as I read. I have to give you props, I'm not certain that I could make is all work like you have.
I LOVE that Draco is being a brat in the waiting room. I think it's brilliant how you've worked in canon so well. I KNEW there was a real reason for Draco to be saying 'I'm on your side' *grumbles about JKR and her Draco!hate' It MUST be as you say. ;)
