Reviews For In My Life

*Laughs giddily*. Talk about dramatic. Those declarations of love between Draco and Ginny seemed rather rushed. But a few lines after that, I came to forget about that point and enjoy reading about the very teen-aged behaviour of Draco and Ginny.
Ginny's 'hint' of a proposal was a nice touch. Rather bold of her, but she was always a forthright Gryffindor, was she not? Hehe, it's amusing to sit back and remember that these are a couple nearing their 100's rather than one in their twenties. Thanks for writing such an original story; it's been very fun to read.

The next chapter should be interesting; will the rest of the Potters find out about the impending marriage? And where will the couple move to when married, for I doubt they'd want to stay at the Home for the rest of their lives, not considering their circumstances now.

Author's Response:

You're right that things happened fast for Draco and Ginny, but they really are at the point in their lives where there is no reason to put things like that off--they're smarter about it than young people are, but it effects them just as much. There really isn't time to waste for any of us.

You're right that in the next chapter you will start to see how their families react--and Ginny's family will be the most interesting! I'm glad that you are still enjoying the story. Thanks, as always, for the thoughtful review!

hi !!
i love the way you write and this story ... but its still hard for me to imagine draco and ginny as old people.

Author's Response: I don't think you're the only one who has trouble with that! It's a little odd for me to write it, too, but I try to think about what I hope for myself when I'm older, and that helps a lot. I'm glad you are enjoying the story otherwise, and hope you'll keep with it! Thanks for the review!

Well, I'm very glad they got things sorted out. Draco is such a petulant little child. I guess he never out grew that. It's a good thing Ginny is a strong woman because a lesser woman would have given up on him. I think it's adorable that she asked him to ask her to marry him. I *loved* that. And she does have a point: they aren't getting any younger.

I can't wait to see the family's reaction at the wedding. That should be a hoot!

Author's Response:

Yes, Draco can be petulant, but now he has Ginny to sort him out. I'm glad that you liked those things! I do too. You'll get to see some of the families' reactions in the next chapter, so you shouldn't have to wait too long. Thanks for the review!

oohh..I loved the way Ginny asked Draco to ask her to marry him.. hee hee.

More is to come, I hope?? And Ron is also still alive, I'm sure?? otherwise where we would get the famous Weasley tantrum at their marriage??:D

Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, there is more to come. I'm not going to tell you who is still alive and who is not (you'll just have to keep reading to find out), but let's just say that not all of Ginny's family is going to be happy about her relationship with Draco! Thanks for the review!

What, no thorough investigation before proposing?? Well, they certainly don't pussyfoot around, those nonagenarians (had to look that one up *grins*). Curious that they didn't just skip the marriage part--too risque for the Wizarding World? And quite an ominously ambiguous ending...hmm.

Author's Response:

Draco has finally understood (or will once he has the time to think about it) why those investigations might not actually be necessary. :) They aren't skipping the marriage part because whether or not doing so would be too risque for the wizarding world, it's too risque for them. They're old and somewhat old-fashioned--they wouldn't think of anything else. Thanks for reading and for the review!

Awww, that gave me a wonderful warm fuzzy. He better not keel over from a heart attack or anything. I'll be ticked off.

Author's Response: There will be no heart attacks, I can assure you. Thank you very much for the review!

Aww that was just beautiful. It's a good thing Ginny doesn't scare easily and is as stubborn as a mule, or he would never have learned how she really feels. Poor Draco, he put himself through hell, yet if he just thought for a moment he'd have known where she was and what she was doing. Well done :)

Author's Response:

Thank you! Yes, Draco is lucky that Ginny won't put up with his crap, and he realizes it, once he slows down enough to actually think a little bit. :) Thanks for the review!

w00t !!! (2007 word of the year which means an exclamation of joy or triumph... or nothing at all). in this case, definitely a well deserved shout of joy & triumph for this chapter.

i love ginny's response to draco's tantrum so they were able to resolve things quickly, but love even better her boldness and no-nonsense 'suggestion' that sure stunned draco. giggles about their snogging session - lightheaded with giddiness and lack of oxygen - now that's too precious a vision. sighs at the simple but touching proposal. they're engaged!!! thanks for the quick update. i understand now why you had to cut the last chapter right where you did... very effective!

Author's Response: Thank you! Those were all details I liked too, so I'm glad you noticed them! I'm also happy that you approve of where I broke the chapters--Draco's fit of pique wouldn't have been nearly as effective otherwise. Thanks for the review!

Awwww! Will there be a double wedding then? I totally love this story, it is so nice to see that love truly knows no boundaries! :)

Author's Response: No, there won't be a double wedding, I'm afraid, but hopefully you will enjoy the rest of the story anyway! Thanks for the review!

Wow - I thought it would be a bit longer than that.

hey - is ol' Ron still around? Are we going to get the satisfaction of seeing his reaction? (Please - no heart attacks)

Author's Response:

Yes, things went really quickly, but once they realized their feelings, there was really no reason to wait. I'm not going to tell you who is still around (you'll just have to wait and see), but I will say that there won't be any heart attacks, so you can rest easy. Thanks for the review!

That is just too cute! I love it! Ginny is so right. They shouldn't waste a single minute. Eek! So good!

Author's Response: Thank you! I really feel that one thing that sets this relationship apart from ones set earlier in their lives is that they don't have their whole lives in front of them. I'm glad you agree! Thanks for the review!
