oohh..I loved the way Ginny asked Draco to ask her to marry him.. hee hee.

More is to come, I hope?? And Ron is also still alive, I'm sure?? otherwise where we would get the famous Weasley tantrum at their marriage??:D

Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, there is more to come. I'm not going to tell you who is still alive and who is not (you'll just have to keep reading to find out), but let's just say that not all of Ginny's family is going to be happy about her relationship with Draco! Thanks for the review!

What, no thorough investigation before proposing?? Well, they certainly don't pussyfoot around, those nonagenarians (had to look that one up *grins*). Curious that they didn't just skip the marriage part--too risque for the Wizarding World? And quite an ominously ambiguous ending...hmm.

Author's Response:

Draco has finally understood (or will once he has the time to think about it) why those investigations might not actually be necessary. :) They aren't skipping the marriage part because whether or not doing so would be too risque for the wizarding world, it's too risque for them. They're old and somewhat old-fashioned--they wouldn't think of anything else. Thanks for reading and for the review!

Awww, that gave me a wonderful warm fuzzy. He better not keel over from a heart attack or anything. I'll be ticked off.

Author's Response: There will be no heart attacks, I can assure you. Thank you very much for the review!

Aww that was just beautiful. It's a good thing Ginny doesn't scare easily and is as stubborn as a mule, or he would never have learned how she really feels. Poor Draco, he put himself through hell, yet if he just thought for a moment he'd have known where she was and what she was doing. Well done :)

Author's Response:

Thank you! Yes, Draco is lucky that Ginny won't put up with his crap, and he realizes it, once he slows down enough to actually think a little bit. :) Thanks for the review!

w00t !!! (2007 word of the year which means an exclamation of joy or triumph... or nothing at all). in this case, definitely a well deserved shout of joy & triumph for this chapter.

i love ginny's response to draco's tantrum so they were able to resolve things quickly, but love even better her boldness and no-nonsense 'suggestion' that sure stunned draco. giggles about their snogging session - lightheaded with giddiness and lack of oxygen - now that's too precious a vision. sighs at the simple but touching proposal. they're engaged!!! thanks for the quick update. i understand now why you had to cut the last chapter right where you did... very effective!

Author's Response: Thank you! Those were all details I liked too, so I'm glad you noticed them! I'm also happy that you approve of where I broke the chapters--Draco's fit of pique wouldn't have been nearly as effective otherwise. Thanks for the review!

Awwww! Will there be a double wedding then? I totally love this story, it is so nice to see that love truly knows no boundaries! :)

Author's Response: No, there won't be a double wedding, I'm afraid, but hopefully you will enjoy the rest of the story anyway! Thanks for the review!

Wow - I thought it would be a bit longer than that.

hey - is ol' Ron still around? Are we going to get the satisfaction of seeing his reaction? (Please - no heart attacks)

Author's Response:

Yes, things went really quickly, but once they realized their feelings, there was really no reason to wait. I'm not going to tell you who is still around (you'll just have to wait and see), but I will say that there won't be any heart attacks, so you can rest easy. Thanks for the review!

That is just too cute! I love it! Ginny is so right. They shouldn't waste a single minute. Eek! So good!

Author's Response: Thank you! I really feel that one thing that sets this relationship apart from ones set earlier in their lives is that they don't have their whole lives in front of them. I'm glad you agree! Thanks for the review!

Poor Draco! Still impulsive with his anger after all these years. I want to hug him, but of course he would never allow that. Looking forward to the next chapter. I'm really enjoying the perspective of the older characters.

Author's Response:

You're right that Draco wouldn't allow you to hug him. Ginny, maybe, but it might be a close call! I'm glad you're still enjoying the story. Thanks for the review!

I can see why Draco reacted the way he did, I just hope he doesn't give himself a stroke or something. I really, really, really enjoy reading this and I can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response: Don't worry, Draco's health won't be affected! I'm glad you are still enjoying the story. Thanks for the review!

Oh dear! The moment I read that he'd beaten her to the chair I just knew she wouldn't turn up. Now he actually thinks she doesn't want him, when all she was is confused. I do hope she'll be able to soothe his thoughts *worries* That Ellen is one smart cookie ;)

Author's Response: Don't worry too much! Ginny will get things sorted a bit in the next chapter. And Ellen *is* smart, but she also knows Ginny very, very well. Thanks for the review!
Name: Dark__Angel reviewed Chapter 6 on Jan 12, 2008 04:54 pm
Sad that is terrible please tell me you will fix this misunderstanding!!!!

Author's Response: Don't worry--Draco will figure out the misunderstanding in the next chapter, though it will take the equivalent of hitting him over the head with a skillet to do it! Thanks for reading and for the review!
Name: Flipinpenname reviewed Chapter 6 on Jan 12, 2008 04:07 pm
draco! what are you doing?! calm down, it's gonna be okay. haha. great job. love it!

Author's Response:

Draco really is clueless, isn't he? Ginny will straighten him out, though, so don't worry too much! Thanks for the review!

Name: enoimreh reviewed Chapter 6 on Jan 12, 2008 03:51 pm
Oh no! Draco needs to chill out and just talk to Ginny. And she better invite him to the wedding!

Ellen was amazing. I love her, and I especially love her relationship with Ginny. Excellent job all around!

Author's Response: You'll see Ginny's reaction to Draco in the next chapter! I like Ellen too. :) Thanks for reading and for the review!

You're killing me here!

*snuggles Draco* Poor boy, going from the highest high to his angriest low in the span of a few hours over something that isn't true. He's going to feel like an arse when he discovers the truth. I just worry that he won't give Gin a chance to explain herself.

I really like Ellen. She's a no nonsense kind of gal and she's on to Ginny's feelings. Loved it. Gin is going to be quite put out at Draco's attitude change when she returns methinks.

I can't wait for the next chapter :)

Author's Response:

Yeah, Draco is being put through the ringer, but it's his own fault really. He and Ginny will meet again in the next chapter, so you will get to see what happens between them soon enough! :)

I like Ellen too. She's much more perceptive than Ginny realized, isn't she? I'll try to update soon! Thanks for the comments!

Oh, well now, really. Some things really don't change, now do they. I could see him doing this in fics 70 years younger.

Author's Response: You're right that some things never change. Draco is still as hot-headed as ever! But he'll come around. :) Thanks for the review!

Draco is so adorable with his attempts at wooing Ginny. He's finally in love with someone and she has no idea what to make of him. But I have this sneaky suspension that he will win her over, because he's determined.

I can't wait to see what surprises Draco has in store for Gin next :)

Author's Response: Oh, yes, Draco will Ginny over in the end. (You know me too well to think anything else, right?) She just needs to get over the shock of it all first. Thanks for the review!
Name: Crrritina913 reviewed Chapter 5 on Jan 08, 2008 04:00 pm
oh how sad for draco, but they are so adorable, can't wait for more.

Author's Response:

Sad for Draco? I suppose so. But things will turn out okay for him...eventually. ;) Thanks for reading and for the review!

I love your fic, Ihave worked in nursing homes in dietary for years. It is so easy to imagine the story in my mind. I cant tell you how many new, close frendships I have seen begin in the last years of peoples lives. I guess you are never too old for love. Keep up the good work.

Author's Response: I certainly hope that you are never too old for love, and I'm glad to hear that you have really seen it happen. It makes me feel like the story really isn't such a reach. :) Thank you very much for reading and for the review!

And then she's going to berate herself for feeling like a little girl. I love it.

Author's Response: Ginny certainly has some thinking to do! You'll get to see some of it in the next chapter. I'm glad you're still enjoying it! Thanks for the review!

I am really falling in love with this story. It’s just such an interesting idea… I don’t even really know how they must be feeling, which is odd for me as I’m generally pretty good at putting myself in other’s shoes. I mean, when a fic takes place in their youth, young adulthood, or even middle age it’s within my realm of understanding. I can’t even contemplate romance as a grandmother. I’m thrilled that you’re conquering this arena. This chapter was equally fantastic and I anxiously await more!

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you are enjoying the story so much. I have to admit that I have some trouble putting myself in their shoes as well, but I just try to keep in mind that even if they are older, they probably react to things in much the same way anyone does, except that they have a little more experience under their belts so they might not go in for the same kinds of dramatics that teenagers might. Thank you very much for reading and for the review!

Do they have Viagra in the wizarding world?

Author's Response: *Giggles* I imagine they have a potion with similar effects. I can't imagine nobody saw the need for one. Wizards live much longer than Muggles do, after all, so would need more of it! In any event, it will be a while before Ginny and Draco need to think about that.  On the other hand, Draco is male, so he might be thinking about it already. Thanks for the comment!
