The story is getting good!!!! You left us in quite a cliffhanger! The only thing I don't like is how Draco treats his son....but I hope that'll change over time. Please keep updating and I'm sorry that you're hating the story, but we love it!

Author's Response: Mmm, definitely not. It was very heavily inspired by another fic, as I mentioned in the first chappie. Now that the secret's out about Ginny, I can go ahead and give much more extensive credit to Draigonfire, which I will do in the next chappie.

I am not 100% sure about this, but I think that in Britain it is legal to marry your first cousin and that the Church of England allows it. So, Scorpius and Rose being cousins shouldn't be that important.
Author's Response: Ha, glad to hear it if that's true! So many people were squicked out by the first-cousin thing, but it really doesn't bother me. And obviously, we now know it's not genetically a bad thing. Scrap and Rose never really got up to anything naughty, so it doesn't matter either way. But I think the responses of my reviewers show that it's really not yet socially acceptable, which is why Scrap and Rose are done for. Thanks for commenting, in any event!

I didnt mean the story is horrible, just that if there isnt much D/G scenes, then I am confuse of what this story is focusing on...? I mean sure I like to see how Scorpius is growing up and understanding why he hate draco, but at the same time, it all tied back to Ginny. From the way you wrote chapter 2, it is hinting somehow draco like Ginny (or miss her even)...It just confused me more after reading your response. So there is no DG in story?
Author's Response: Whoops! Sorry, I guess I didn't explain myself very well. There is DEFINITELY D/G in the story. It is coming. You will see. The story doesn't necessarily focus on them, but they're a big, big part of it. Glad you don't think it's horrible!

Great start! I'm not usually a fan of first-person narratives, but this is working, a testament to how well you're pulling it off. And judging by some of your responses to other reviews, you're going to make us suffer more, and worse; please just make it worth it in the end! ;)
Author's Response: Thank you!! I actually don't usually write first-person, either. But somehow it seemed appropriate for Scorpius' voice and for his story. As for the suffering...well...I'll do my best to make it worth it!

Author's Response: Well...he IS Draco Malfoy! I felt the same way while writing this, though, LOL-- like screaming at Scorpius and Draco, trying to stop it from happening. But of course, characters will do what they will. (and I can't lie and say I don't enjoy it!)

I remember when I first read it all those years ago... it used to be a fave of mine, I just haven't read it in a really long time.

I wouldn't say it's one of my fave fics, now, but it sure got my imagination working! And what more can you ask for from fiction, really?

Mmmm. Well if it's even half as good as Masquerade was... it'll be a fantastic story! Good start, I like how it was from Scorpius's POV, that's not something I've seen as of yet.
Author's Response: Well, I never said it would be as good as Masquerade!! Just that Draigonfire inspired me. Hopefully she won't be ashamed to have this story associated with her. I like Scorpius' POV, too; he's got a fun perspective to write from.
