She looked over to see what it was and was surprised to see Draco Malfoy sitting in a chair, his head supported on the bed next to her. He was clutching her hand tightly beneath his cheek as he slept.

The love you part was kinda fast
Draco leaned in once more, his voice dropping so that she could just barely hear it. “Ginny, I love you,” he murmured.

Ginny’s breath caught in her throat at his admission. He loved her?

He continued in a rush. “I didn’t realize it until last night, when you were lying there in the hospital bed. You looked so fragile and I was terrified. I know it seems stupid and cliché, but I knew in that moment that I loved… love you.”

Ginny felt like her heart would burst. Tears came to her eyes as she looked up at him.

But it was really great!
It's rare to see Draco saying I love you first!
That's what may be bothering you,but it was really really good!

I mean, I'm quite pleased with it as my first ever story, I just wish I'd done it better. Oh, well. Oh, and I totally know what you mean about loving Draco! *sigh* Who couldn't?! Beautiful. Undoubtably your best chapter thus far. THIS is what this story has been leading to and it was so utterly perfect! Loved the fight to see if she would give in and finally kiss him!

i mean, sure i want him to give Pansy a piece of his mind, or his magic, but staying with Ginny was much better and much more important.
Staying by her side, running off to get Snape, getting all worried, staying to sleep with her, insisting with Pomfrey, and most of all, caring her around in his arms instead of conjuring and charming a strecher, plus the sweet cheek kiss (i like the ones in the forehead better, but still)...WONDERUL!

I like showing different sides of his personality and it seemed like the perfect time and opportunity to show a soft, caring side.
