You do have a knack for these angsty one shots that just kick you in the gut. Would love to have another one shot explaining what happened, not because it's needed, but because I'm greedy :) Great work!

I thought for sure that Draco had died, until you brought up seeing him at the ball. I'm not sure if his being alive is sadder, or happier. I know personally I'd rather have the person I love with someone else than dead, but knowing that they love you as much as you live them and being unable to be with each other is heart wrenching. I am completely against cheating, but I wonder why they haven't snatched a moment together, hiding it from their spouses? Harry almost seems like he'd understand, as long as it didn't break up their marriage... Ah love, why must you be so difficult?

I love this so much. I really want a sequel. You make me feel bad for Harry, which I hate, but is probably fair because he does often get the short end of the D/G stick and become some evil abusive guy. He's so very understanding in this and I want him to be Draco so that I can feel sorry for Draco instead, which is way easier. Poor Draco! Poor Harry! Poor Ginny! Poor me, most of all!!!

Author's Response: Perhaps one day I'll think of doing an arc to this, maybe an interaction with Draco. However, I want to get a few other projects out of the way first. Yes, there was a lot of pity for Harry, which is hard for us DG fans. But I also think this is what cannon Harry would have done. He wants so much to have this perfect family life that he'll take the imperfections, no matter how huge.

This is a fantastic example of what I love about your writing. This particular piece is so true to life, it's messed up and beautiful all at once.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed this one.

This was really good! It would be interesting to see it from Dracos pov or his wifes!

Author's Response: :) Well, I'm happy it leaves you wanting more. Thanks for the review!

This story honest-to-goodness made me cry. I would love to see it re-imagined as a longer story...I'm sure there's an interesting back story that brought all the characters to this place. Why aren't D&G together? What makes it worth it to Harry? What does Ginny do to cope and feel fulfilled in her life? I enjoy imagining it all, but it would be great if you wanted to write the long version!

Author's Response: A lot of my one-shots, I try to capture a moment to leave the readers sort of guessing about what happened and will happen in the future. This is one such one-shot. I do often think of turning these into longer stories or writing prequels and sequels. But then this would have no end. :) Thanks so much for the review! I'm glad you liked it.

Oh Antoinette, this was oh-so-sad. All your one-shots have been pretty sad, though. This one really broke my heart, especially that part about where Ginny saw Draco and his wife dancing. :( That just really made me want to cry. You really should do a bit of a sequel, because this is just too sad to not give DG a happy ending. Or, maybe a prequel would be good, explaining how and why DG didn't end up together... but a sequel getting them together would be better. :)

XOXO, JT

P.S. Don't you owe me a review for LTM chapter 4? Haha, jk, jk, I'm going to re-review Buttercup right now so I don't forget. You really should update BUttercup though...just saying. ;)

Author's Response: I know, I'm working on a happy one-shot. The thing about my one-shots is that I write them with the thought of not writing any companion pieces. I like to leave people guessing about what is happening. And again, if I wrote a companion to this, Draco and Ginny wouldn't be together. They are both in marriages that they don't want to break apart, and until they get up the willpower to admit to themselves that they should be together, then they'll have to live with their respective partners. Basically, they've settled. And yes, I do owe you a review -_- I'll need to get around to writing it. Thanks for the review!

That was sad. I love how it was from Harry's POV and that he wasn't evil (as he so often is in D/G). But why can't Draco and Ginny be together? I know Ginny's married but surely Harry would prefer her to be happy with Draco? Good job

Author's Response: Draco and Ginny were peer pressured in not being together, which I didn't highlight in this because it is from Harry's PoV and I like it that way. And now they're both in marriages, and they don't want to break that up. Harry wouldn't hate her if she left him, but she isn't leaving him. Until she does, he'll live with that. There's a lot of unsaid things in this because it is from his PoV. Thanks for reviewing!

Hmm... man this Harry seems like a pansy, no offence. I'm not quite sure how I feel about the story, but I commend you for trying to take a different angle on DG; and even more so, for writing a DG one-shot without Draco.

Author's Response: Harry's gone through a lot in his life that's been difficult. This marriage he has isn't difficult. He understands it. Plus he has a son with Ginny, a family life that he doesn't want to break apart. And Ginny loves Draco but they can't be together so she uses Harry. But she is sorry that she can't love him. It's complicated, and I knew it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. But I would have to disagree with you on Harry being a pansy. Thanks for the review! :)

My goodness, talk about a glutton for punishment. I guess Harry would rather live with the routine that Ginny puts him through rather than lose her to Draco. Intense and raw. Very telling about the love between Draco and Ginny. Well done.

Author's Response: Yes, you got it right. Harry doesn't want to have to go through finding love again when he has Ginny, who he does love, even if she doesn't love him. It's his depressing life. Thanks for reviewing!
