This was so wonderful! I especially loved how you handled Ginny's growing insecurities without actually naming them(and end up having Harry call it ou!), the process was very real. Thanks for the good effort!
Author's Response: Thank you so so much! This story is close to my heart, so I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for reading and leaving a review!
I loved this. One of the best stories I've read recently. Your writing is amazing and the characters are developed so well that you truly feel for them. Amazing!
Author's Response: I'm really fond of this story, so it makes me happy that you enjoyed it so much. Thank you for reading and leaving such a lovely review!
I'm not sure the tone was light-hearted. I cried through almost all of it. I liked the stories originality, and wondered the entire time why the facade.
Author's Response: I definitely missed the ball a little on certain aspects of the prompt. I really meant for this to be light-hearted and fun, but once I got started, I realized that it couldn't stay that way. While D and G's ruse began as a game between them, I realized that feelings naturally would have gotten hurt, and Ginny - and Draco - had to deal with that or it wouldn't have been real. I'm sorry you cried! ;_; I hope despite the heavier tone you enjoyed the story even for its conflict, and at least it ended happily between everyone! :D Thank you so much for reading and reviewing.
I liked your story and how Narcissa perceived their relationship surprised me.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Narcissa's misunderstanding of the situation was really the inspiration for the whole story. n_n
It's a truly lovely story, especially as it has solved the misunderstandings between our favorite couple and Narcissa.
I hope you can write other great D&G stories very soon.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I have two or three stories that are written and complete that I haven't posted online yet, so I'll be starting a new story very soon! Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!
(pops head in)
I'll leave an actual review very soon! Actually, I'm stuck on critiquing a piece for my F2F writers' group tonight. It's the prologue to a fantasy novel, and, well... I'm trying to think of *positive* things to say about it so that the author feels encouraged. Mostly, what springs to mind is some variation on "Start writing fanfic, and you'll understand much more about how writing *should* work." ;)
Author's Response: Well, in fan fic, people aren't always so kind or productive in their reviews... so either authors learn quick about how to craft better stories, or they get discouraged from all the negativity. I think this author is in good hands if *you're* critiquing his/her work. ;)
hope that ginny can hold everything together, before a fuse its blow!
Author's Response: I'm working diligently on the next chapter, so we'll see how she handles the situation! Thanks for reading and reviewing. n_n
Oh dear Ginny, what a mess she's in...
Author's Response: How will she get out of it?? D:
As you are well aware, I adore this fic. The thing I love most about this first chapter, is how well you set up the characterisation - you give us such a clear view of Ginny's underlying insecurities without beating us over the head with it, and I love just how self aware she is about it all because it shows that she's not a passive character. The small amount of Draco you reveal to us is also perfect, as is Narcissa - your award was well-deserved!
Looking forward to chapter two (and three, and four)!
Author's Response: Thank ya, thank ya! As you are also well aware, I am and will continue to be super appreciative of your help. You're awesome, end of story. ;) More very soon!
great first chapie!! looking forward to the next one.
Author's Response: Yay! Glad you're enjoying it! Next chapter should be posted by Monday at the latest!
Very interesting. I'm excited to read more.
Author's Response: Thanks! I'll have the next chapter up in a few days! n_n
