Favorite lines: “Ginny,” she said, cringing at her abruptness. Would she never be smooth? “It’s Ginny. Weasley is too weird for me … with all my … brothers,” she added, faltering.

His smirk widened. “We can’t have that, can we, Ginny?” With that, Malfoy disappeared into Edgecombe’s office, leaving Ginny staring after him long after she felt was reasonable.

I'm in love with this story. I adore all of the Austen-y last names sprinkled throughout this chapter, and Luna and George together ("Weaselgood" had me laughing out loud)! Great work--and don't feel the need to apologize for real life happening to you!

Excited to see how you handle the Darcy connection! (Especially since I'm working on a pride and prejudice crossover that may never see the light of day) I love what you've done so far with this story!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review! The Darcy and Fitwilliams will be minor characters, but certainly nothing like a true crossover, but your idea sounds very intriguing! I hope that it does see the light of day. Real life has taken over any free time for the past few months, but I am trying to get back to finishing the next chapter. Thanks again for your review.

Ahhhh! I love Lavender and Luna as business partners in this! And George/Luna, oh my! I think I adore it! At least the way you've portrayed them so far. ;)

I enjoyed the backstory of this chapter, with the explanation of Ginny's discontent with Harry. But you haven't painted Harry in a bad light. You haven't turned him into a horrible person that Ginny has no reason being with. He's just Harry, and Ginny realizes (though she ignores it) that he's just not the person she built him up to be. I could see Harry being too protective, too, and those little moments in this chapter, where Harry confuses a gesture from Ginny as weakness, really set that up. I can *feel* the suffocation Ginny is experiencing but not acknowledging, not only from Harry's protectiveness, but also from the pressure of being The-Boy-Who-Lived's fiancee. It's quite sad, but you've written it so well.

Like Ginny, we readers have just missed seeing Draco, but I'll look forward to his appearance in the next chapter! Can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! It is really good to know what is working with the Hinny portrayal too. I was very anxious, because I don't like stories that make Harry into the villain just for Draco's sake. I want Harry to be Harry and Draco to be Draco and we just see that Draco and Ginny fit each other better. There is no need for character assassination, you know?

It's an affair but they're not married yet. Just engaged. And that could still be fixed! ...or unfixed since Ginny belongs with Draco! Loopholes, loopholes. Yay, for loopholes. Haha.

This is just the prologue but I'm already anxiously waiting for the next chapter! I've always said this world needs more quality D/G fics and I'm counting on this one to be added to that list, okay? ;)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I aiming to update about once a week.

It's going UP!! YAY! This is absolutely on my to R&R list!! Expect a review soon. :)

Author's Response: Thanks! I love your work so I am blushing right now! Keeping Christmas on the Death Train was actually one of the first Draco and Ginny stories I really, really loved.

Oh. Ohhh. I didn't read this during the exchange because that was basically the year I'd stopped reading and writing things, but oh man, I should have. The *tone*. THE TONE! You can so feel the desperation and nervousness and paranoia that Ginny feels so clearly. I usually don't like to read about adultery because true love shouldn't start with cheating and it's so unfair to the person who gets cheated on, but Draco and Ginny's connection is undeniable. (And we don't want Ginny with Harry anyway, so how bad can you really feel, am I right?) I know this is a prologue, and you leave it at a cliffhangery moment, but you also do a really great job of making D and G look, well, doomed. Like, I have this ominous feeling that things are not going to go well. And I'm sure they won't at first, but the way you set that up is so nice, and I'm very eager to read more. :) Lovely, lovely start! Was this prologue in the original version of the story?

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I did try to capture their anxiety and paranoia. This prompt was actually my first choice in that exchange precisely for the reason that I'd never been partial to adultery fics either (fanfic or otherwise) and I wanted to explore how someone could put themselves in that situation. I'm happy that you like the story so far. This prologue is somewhat like the original - basic scene, though I've rewritten nearly every paragraph and it is somewhat longer.
