Do you know how happy this story is making me??! It's the most adorable thing I've read in so long, I was smiling the whole way through it last night (obviously minus the whole attack and blackmail bit.)

But seriously, I like how we are seeing a Draco who ran away from his life in England, who self harmed to try and get away from the DM and who drank himself into oblivion - but who is also trying so hard to turn his life around and make people see that he is worth more than being treated like the lowest form of society.

I'm really enjoying how you write and I find Draco and ginny so endearing together, she's desperate to show that she is strong and independent and he's desperate not to hurt her. I mean who's heart didn't break when he said "I don’t deserve someone as wonderful as you in my life.” Bah, pass me a tissue!! Between that, saving her and breaking up the naan for her- I'm in reader heaven!

My only issue is with your description, it really doesn't do your story justice! I put off reading the story because it didn't pull me in enough. Boy do I love it now!! Good luck with the next chapter! Xx

Author's Response: Aw, that's awesome to hear! I'm really glad you're enjoying it so much. Reader heaven is pretty high praise! :D And you were right about the description: I've been ignoring it for a while because it annoyed me... I fixed it up though, so hopefully it's more interesting? Does it pass?

Oh my goodness. This is marvellous. And Luna and her art —— that was very moving. Draco again is excellent, and I worry so much for Ginny. But again, I was impressed by her testimony. George, though, ... heartbreaking. This is really wonderful; I am looking forward to more.

Author's Response: Thank you for all your kind words! It makes me really happy to hear that you're enjoying this so much. Makes the whole process worth it, actually, and keeps me going. I am also really happy to hear that you're on the flip side of your depression, and that you've found something to keep you moving forward. I found paranormal romance novels helped me too, just saying. ;p

OH MY GOD, I LOVE THIS.

Sorry. Just. Luna and Draco is so perfect, and I love how how you've written him — how utterly fucked up he is — struggling with anxiety and depression. It's a bit tragic, but it's also perfect.

Plus — his insights with Narcissa, how he'll always love her but never forgive her. I just. They're all so wonderfully human, and I am really enjoying this.

So very much. Thank you.

Oh my god, what an amazing beginning! It's been a long time since I've been this excited over a fanfic, but I like your writing style and the way you've fleshed out these characters so quickly.

I've only just stumbled back into the D/G fandom as well (after a long bout of depression myself), and I am so happy to find a pic so intriguing already! Thank you!

Love! LOVE!! And just the right amount of D/G interaction for this point in time, I think. There are so many great things about your writing, but I think I would have to give the gold medal to characterizations... everyone, from Draco, Ginny, and Luna, to the more background characters like George, is complex and fascinating. And I love the idea of Luna painting souls. :)

And oh God, you're going to make me go to ffnet. :P:P:P:P and :P. But JUST for you, and to read the prequel-ette... i will. :)I hope you do eventually post it here, though. (mutters unpleasant things about ffnet.)

Author's Response: I'm sorry!! But there's no mention of Ginny in it, so I didn't feel right posting it here (and I don't actually want to attach it to this story because it's superfluous...) Hopefully the experience wasn't too traumatic? :S But thank you for the gold medal. :D

I loved this chapter! So much happening, I love Ginny and George's relationship. George sees all!! haha. I love the way you've included some great friendships throughout the story. It adds such a depth to all the characters.
And Draco bringing Ginny Indian food was so sweet, I love how their relationship is developing.
I cannot wait for more.
xx

Author's Response: Yay! Omnipotent George! lol! I'm really glad that you're enjoying it. Hopefully the next chapter will be out soon. :D

One of my favourite fics. I have checked everyday for an update from you. :)
Please update soonx

Author's Response: Gah! It makes me happy that you love it so much, but it also upsets me that you're getting disappointed all the time when there's not a new chapter! :S I'm trying to update as quickly as I can. Care to do my readings for me to help make me some time?

Great chapter! I can't wait to read how Draco & Luna became friends. But, I do believe that Luna would have reached out to Draco after the war because she did see some goodness in him. I do also believe that he did help with food and water and some form of comfort when she and the others were inprisioned at the manor. Just a typo note: witness has been noted as whiteness twice during the courtroom section. Can't wait to read the next chapter. Thank you writing and continuing this fic.

Author's Response: Thanks! :D And I'm glad I'm not the only one. Though I honestly have a hard time seeing Draco giving them food, just because of how scared he would have been; I think he would have regretted not doing it however. But I don't know. I hope that he would. I obviously don't have as much faith in him as you do. ;p Oh, and all attempts at white-washing the witnesses has been corrected, thank you.

Wonderful chapter! It's so hard to really write a scene at the start of Draco and Ginny's relationship where everything works right. So many authors get so close, but there's just something that doesn't exactly fit... but you did it! Yay! :) I love where Draco is in terms of his relationships with other people-- we can see how emotionally stunted he is, unavoidably so, but he is trying, pushing himself out of his comfort zone. My feeling about Harry (YMMV, of course), is that this never really happened for him in canon, and he didn't try to make it happen. He made no real effort-- or we would have seen much more between him and Ginny in the Ep of Doom. But that's enough space spent on Harry... ;)

Really looking forward to the next chapter! (I know what you mean about school... I went back to school AGAIN, who knows what the schedule will end up looking like... but I still want to keep seeing more chappies. ;)

Author's Response: Really? Yay! I was really worried no one would buy it. :S But you made my day when I read that. :D What are you taking in school??

Gahhhhhh I love the update!!!!!!!!!!! Okay I'm loss for words here seriously. I reread the paragraphs 5-6 times because it was beautifully and timely written! The exchange of lines were perfect! I love how the relationship of Draco and Ginny blossoms over time, it's like they're so near and so far with each other with regard to their feelings and commitment issues.

I can't wait to see how this story progress! Looking forward for the next chapter! Hope you can update soon!

Author's Response: Thank you! That means a lot to me. :). Hopefully you won't have to wait too long.

Wonderful! I love the thrill I got from reading the last bit. The tentative beginnings. So sweet, I love how he's not completely sure of himself but still maintains his character. Can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Thank you! It makes me really happy to hear that my Draco's convincing; I was a little worried about that tbh.

the awkwardness was so perfect in this chapter, it had my heart racing!
I'm really enjoying the d/g ride you're taking us on.

Author's Response: Yay! Perfect awkwardness! I'm glad you're enjoying it!

LOVE this chapter! I don't have very long, so this will be a shorter review than I would really like... but it's so, so good. Draco and Ginny both feel so real, for want of a better word. This is such a believable Draco, in all his good points and faults. SO GLAD you're writing again. :)

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad I'm writing again too! I forgot how fun this all is. :D

To hell with school more chapters!! Jk well only slightly...

Author's Response: I would if I could! But if there's no school, then there's only work! Then I'll never get an intellectual job that allows for writing on the side! ~sniff~

so so good!!!!!!
draco's pov is outstanding!
Luna being the middle ground is so odd but somehow works.
can't wait to read more!

Author's Response: Thanks! Glad to hear that I'm (so far) pulling off the Luna/Draco friendship. :D

“I don’t deserve someone as wonderful as you in my life.”

Ginny froze, her eyes searching his face. She could tell that he actually believed that. That—she didn’t know what to think of this. How had such a proud and arrogant son of a bitch turned into this? Especially when the person he was addressing was a Weasley? Then a smaller voice asked, he thought she was wonderful?

That bit. That bit punched me right in the heart. Such a beautiful chapter.

Author's Response: :) Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Ahhhhh! Much cute. Such awkward. Wow. I loved it! I can't stop smiling at these two lovely idiots. Can't wait for their first kiss and the first time they make love. Ahhhhhhh

Author's Response: :D yay! Cute and awkward! Hopefully you won't have to wait too long. :)

The anguish i feel for Draco. I love and hate how damaged he is by the war, which is only right and beautiful to see but I also just want to give him a hug. Your writing is so beautiful. I cannot wait to read more!

Author's Response: Aw, thanks! And I want to hug him too. ;). Hope you weren't too late for your dinner. :)

The snark and banter between Ginny and Draco makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Love this first chapter.
Name: Anise reviewed Chapter 2 - You Are Mine on Aug 21, 2016 07:51 pm
LOVE, love this chapter! It works in so many ways… the macro level of the wonderful plot, the accurate characters, but also the tiny details (Death Eater’s wands being confiscated when they go into a Ministry building, Harry’s office being a mess, Draco keeping a packed emergency bag, etc.) I love the characterization of Harry—stubborn determination rather than actually thinking about what’s going on up to a ridiculous point, but then he does start to relent and use common sense. This is a softer picture of Draco than we often see, but I think it’s very believable as far as where he would be several years after the war. He definitely has a softer side in canon, and once he’d escaped from the life he ended up rejecting, I think he would have allowed that side to come out.
And then when we start learning more about who’s really behind Ginny’s kidnapping… it makes SO much sense. On to the next chapter!!

Author's Response: Thank you! I live for details, and hardly realize that I throw them in there half the time, so it's neat that they're actually noticed. :D
