The once-shed tears
Fell upon her pillow
As she dreamed of
Her love's lost willow
Of stormy eyes
And darkening locks
Of bleeding roses
And breaking clocks
Of clashing swords
That gently caress
The lover's heart
So near in rest
In dreams she saw
His beloved face
His voice caressed
His fingers' trace
She mourned the one
She could not find
The lover's grace
She left behind
For nowhere now
Could he be found
The one she lost
To love's dark bound.
