Flask of Poison by Silver Peppermint
Author's Notes:
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or any other J.K. Rowling creation.

First of all, this is my first D/G based poem so please let me know how it turned out. I would appreciate that greatly. Secondly, this was inspired by the thought of how love does not always conquer all.
Flask of Poison

The empty flask drops loudly onto the tiled floor
My body is what follows next
I see his slight figure, maybe a ghost, they’re at my door
He grabs me roughly, perplexed

I smile or I think I do at least
I feel the poison ensnaring my body
I embrace this death feast
No longer feeling empty

I think I feel fingertips tracing my jaw
But the coils of the poison have reached my soul
Erasing my heart, my only flaw
The poison has me in its controls

I think I hear his voice
Whispering harshly in my ear
“You’ve made the wrong choice.”
Followed by a single tear

Reaching towards his ghostly figure and finding it real
I recoil as fast as a poisoned body could
Not believing this vision to be truthful
For nothing seen through this poison is good

My hoarse voice takes a gasp
“I will always be yours. I hope you know that.”
I continue in my soft rasp
“Come with me. We cannot win this combat.”

The poison envelops me whole
And I lose the sight of my eyes
I feel the breaking of my soul
Then my body’s last good-byes.
Lips of Poison by Silver Peppermint
Author's Notes:
Just one more chapter and the poem shall be complete.
Lips of Poison

I cannot sit here with her lifeless form in my arms
I cannot accept the fact that death is better than life
Cannot see why our families cause us the most harm
Cannot understand why only in secret we could be husband and wife

The fact that our last names define us
States the truth of this dark world
That after all equality is fruitless
Since a Malfoy could not love the Weasley girl

To have to dance around the darkness
And hide in the deepest of shadows
To escape any shred of a witness
That thinks the sight of us is too much to swallow

I push a lock of red from her face
We are not free here
It’s why she left this place
And now I must follow her there

I wrap my arms around her, kissing her cold lips
Just to receive a smidge of the poison
The world has reduced us to this
Beginning to lay beside her, I weaken.
The Antidote by Silver Peppermint
Author's Notes:
This is the last chapter of the poem! ;) Enjoy.
The Antidote

We watched from above as they cried over our forms
And we watched them with pain
Through the harsh wind storm
But we decided here that are deaths would not be in vain

We watched as they buried us together beneath the ground
Writing the last words on our graves
Tossing the last of the roses around
And crying the last tears in waves

We watched the following years
And smiled as lovers like us were free
No longer did lovers have to love in fears
And this made us more than happy

On our graves inscribed in gleaming stone
Were the words of our friends and families
Together creating a message to atone
For all our hidden journeys

“Love is a gift and should never have to hide
No matter the hearts involved.
For here is a couple that died
For a problem, we should’ve solved.

Nothing shall define you
So let equality for love always stand true.”
