challenge: #3 – Blondes Have More Fun; Entry 1
Notes: Haven’t read anyone else’s yet but I hope none of these are too similar.

Ginny wasn’t one to be skittish but, she had been waiting a while and the Astronomy Tower grew spookier with each passing minute.

She distracted herself from the creaks and bumps by studying the night sky. Entranced, she didn’t see the hooded figure until it was next to her.

She gasped as a hand grabbed her arm.

Draco threw back the hood, smirking. “Jumpy, aren’t we?”

“Was the hood necessary?” she snapped, heart racing.

“Forgive me for scaring you?” he murmured, bending to kiss her.

Tangling her fingers in his hair, silvery in the moonlight, she showed him he was.

challenge: #3 – Blondes Have More Fun; Entry 2

This was heaven; spending a lazy Saturday morning lazing about with the most lovely witch ever.

He was idly running his fingers through her hair as she read, when he noticed something odd. This will never do.

Ginny sat up abruptly, clutching her head. “Damn it, Draco. That hurt!”

Holding the plucked hair against the dark green of the duvet, he peered at it. “Sorry –thought it was grey.”

“What!” Ginny leaned down to inspect the offending hair. “It’s not grey. It’s blonde.”

“So it is.” He smiled rakishly. “Well, obviously your hair is jealous of mine.”

She snorted. “Obviously.”

Title: Suffering
Team: MTrans
Word count: 100, of course
Characters/Pairings: Draco/Ginny
challenge: #3 – Blondes Have More Fun; Entry 4

Draco had been sick for days – some sort of Muggle influenza with no magical cure. He had to suffer it out.

Ginny was suffering too. Draco was THE biggest baby when sick. He had kept her running – cool drinks, fluffier pillows, new books.

Popping in to check on him, she found him sprawled across tangled sheets.

“Uhhmmm…I feel awful,” he moaned.

“You don’t look so hot either.”

“My hair?”

“Is a mess.”

“Would you?” He looked pathetic.

Picking up his hairbrush, she suspected he was tousling his hair on purpose.

“Last time. Six times in one day is my limit.”

END.

Title: Spooked
Team: MTrans
Word count: 100, of course
Characters/Pairings: Draco/Ginny
challenge: #3 – Blondes Have More Fun; Entry 6

“We have to tell them eventually.”

Draco said nothing as he traced lazy circles on her stomach.

“Hermione caught me two nights ago as I came up the stairs.”

Draco propped his head on his hand, one brow arched. “And?”

“She stared at me for a minute and then picked one of your hairs off my robes.” Ginny smiled, remembering the odd encounter. “She said ‘I guess blondes really do have more fun. Be careful Ginny; They’re not blind.’”

“Granger said that?”

“She’s worried. About me. About Ron and Harry. We have to tell them.”

“Tomorrow. Worry about it tomorrow.”

Title: The Sadness of Fall
Team: MTrans
Word Count: 100, including the quote
Characters/Pairings: Draco/Ginny (sort of)
Challenge: #35: Colors
Author’s Note: Quote from the song “Windmills of Your Mind”.

Draco turned and made another circuit of the groves of Malfoy Manor.

These walks usually calmed him, lifted his spirits, but today every step made him more melancholy.

Perhaps, deep down, he knew the cause, even before the moment he caught a flash of color out of the corner of his eye and turned, filled with sudden hope.

“Ginny?”

But it was only a leaf, lazily falling to the ground.

He cursed softly and turned towards home.

“When you knew that it was over, Were you suddenly aware
That the autumn leaves were turning to the color of her hair…”

END.

Title: Golden Sands
Team: MTrans
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Draco/Ginny (sort of)
Challenge: #35: Colors

It was a silly sort of thing for him to hang onto, a bespelled hourglass, but he found himself carefully packing it each time he was forced to move, carefully charming it against breakage.

It gave him peace to watch the sand’s endless flow from the top bell to bottom, to know she still lived.

Knowing that, he could face running from the Death Eaters, against whom he’d spied, and Potter’s little minions, who refused to believe his conversion to the side of light.

Yes, as long as she lived, there was still hope, still a reason to keep running.

END.
