My Dearest

My dearest Ginny, I love you so
but just how much, you'll never know.
For all my talk of coming clean,
for all the words I did not mean
about how I wish that you'd move on,
leave me behind because I'm strong.
Forget our love and start anew -
I find I'm missing without you.

I'm not the same, I am not whole
this is no game, love takes a toll.
And that toll was on my heart,
of which you've owned right from the start.
I let you go, I cut the strings
I fell so hard, my heart still stings.

Don't think I don't know it hurts you,
just want to stress it hurts me too.
I had no plans to start anew,
but what else was I suppose to do?
You need your family they matter most.
They are the future to which you toast,
they are the hours that make your day
that's why I need to walk away.

Cuz it's what should be done my love,
we cannot be as one my love
I'd never steal your sun my love
aut I can offer none my love.
And you deserve much more my love,
a family to adore my love
that is why I implore my love
to just say no more to my love.

But I'll hold you still my love,
just a friend who wields my love
a friend who cannot feel my love
but yet I cannot heal my love,
I'm selfish, that is real my love.
I want my heart to steal your love
and yet your heart I kill my love
everyday I'm near my love.

So I offer you my love
an apology so true my love,
but I don't know what to do my love
I just can’t let go of you, my love.
