You'll never look at Ginny Weasley the same way ever again. Then again, neither will the rest of them. AU, Post-Hogwarts.Category: Completed Short Stories
I decided to look at you profile after you reviewed my latest story, and I saw that it was you who had written this story. I had to come back and leave a review telling you that I absolutely loved this piece. I read an unbelievable amount of stories on here, and this is one of the few I remember. I think it is brave to explore what could be. :-)
Author's Response: Thanks! Well, it was a brave exploration back then! :) I wrote this so long ago, when so many things were up in the air- especially about Ginny.
Draco and Pansy are the perfect dungeon duo, but a secret from their past will change everything for them, and for any Gryffindors that get caught in the middle of it.Category: Long and Completed
This is a very interesting concept for a story. I was a little bit confused at first as to who Draco's mother was, but sorted it out quickly enough. After reading this chapter the first thing I thought as that now Draco and Pansy could not be potentially betrothed. Makes room for Ginny, yay!
This was a good chapter, simple, but it did a good job of showing that Slytherins have feelings to, and the fact that Ginny witnessed it can only bode well for her future relationship with Draco. :-)
I do love stories where Draco and Ginny are friends first. I really enjoy your writing style, it is simple, but conveys a lot about the characters and what they are going through. I doesn't need any deciphering.
Oooh, cliffhanger. Good thing I'm reading this story after it is already completed. :-)
And in come the nosy trio...*sighs* This was a good chapter, once again.
I was sure the sneaky git was going to get away, but then you cleverly made him walk right into Pansy. I hope he gets what's coming to him. :-)
Another cliffhanger...very good writing, you know how to keep people interested. I'm also glad you don't draw out the angsty parts so much.
I have to say I'm never really fond of Harry/Pansy relationships forming. It just doesn't seem realistic for Harry to be able to give up that grudge against Slytherins, and vice versa. But you handled it well and I think I could actually like the pairing in this story. There is enough emotion surrounding everyone that anything is possible.
Yay, happy endings after all. :-)
What would make a family as close as the Weasleys turn its back on its youngest member? Ginny breaking Harry's heart might, as would her sleeping with Draco Malfoy. Too bad she's done both.Category: Long and Completed
This is a great story, it is nice to read one that progresses from the beginning of their relationship to the marriage in less than thirty chapters. :-) I like the way you handle the characters, you don't put them at opposite ends of the spectrum, and you do a good job showing how a baby can change everything if you let it.
Draco always knows what to do and how to act, he's got a plan for everything. But things often don't go as planned, and upon realizing what a web of mistakes and lies he's gotten into, he no longer knows what to do. DG, doesn't include events of HBP.Category: Works in Progress
I love the way you ended this chapter, we knew there would be repercussions because they were drunk and the way you ended it makes it even better.
I always love when Blaise gets involved in the whole affair, it usually sparks Draco's jealous side and sets the whole ride in motion. I find your writing style very easy to read and quite entertaining.
Can't wait to read more. I thought it was hilarious that you put in that bit about Draco and Hermione. I dying to see what happens when their whole affair becomes known.
A million shattered pieces/ Then let it be/ I'll tell you tales you won't believe/ I'll tell you anyway/ I'll be released. (BT - Lullaby for Gaia)Category: Long and Completed
Consider this a review for all of the chapters so far uploaded. This is one of those stories I keep coming back to the site to check on, hoping that it got updated in between me checking my email and typing in the site name. :-) It has so much potential because of the unusual way you directed the characters lives. I also love that you didn't start right out with Draco and Ginny falling immediately in love, or hating each other, which builds to love. Right now it seems to be somewhere in the middle, which I think is more realistic for where they are now. You have a great style of writing and I look forward to continuing this story and reading some of your others.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your comments! I like taking my time with fics, so unless I try to make something deliberately short, I tend to ramble for a bit. :) With this story, tho, I really did need to take my time. There\'s no way they could have any kind of rapid relationship. Well, at least a loving or caring one. The relationship they do have right now is one of fascination and relative lack of pain more than anything else. They\'re both in a weird kind of headspace that won\'t allow for anything more just yet.
Draco still thought that Harry was the hurdle that he had to jump. He didn't understand the influence that one teenage boy had on an innocent first year Ginny.Category: Completed Short Stories
Great job with this! I got so caught up in the story that I had completely forgotten how it started. By the time I got to the ending I was completely surprised.
Author's Response: I\'m glad you were surprised. I don\'t want the story to be completely predictable. Thanks for your review.
Ginny has a moment of abject stupidity. Now what is she supposed to do?Category: Long and Completed
Catchy title- it definitely caught my interest, and once I started reading I was glad it did. The chapter isn't too long and already we are into the juicy Draco/Ginny starting a relationship bit. The way you write leaves a lot of wiggle room for what you want to happen, which is great as it keeps the reader guessing and coming back for more. I can't wait to see where you take this, your writing style is easygoing and in tune with the characters.
Author's Response: Thank you for the lovely compliments. I try not to write in a straight line because I want people to keep reading.
Draco is working for the Ministry as an Invisible, an elite and unknown Auror, while the rest of the world thinks he's six-feet under. On a mission in New York he goes into a pub where he thinks he's met the barmaid before. The red hair should really be a tip-off.Category: Works in Progress
This is a very interesting beginning, it seems very plausible that this is something Draco would do. It makes me wistful that Draco doesn't look like his normal beautiful self, oh well. I cannot wait to see how this progresses.
When Ginny returns home after months of work she sees that many things are different and, unable to cope, she flees from the Burrow. What she doesn't know is that things in her own life are about to take an interesting turn when she runs into Draco Malfoy.Category: Long and Completed
What a wonderful ending. I found myself bit confused in places, but I sorted it all out after a bit of thinking. Your ending, however, will most definitely have me coming back to read more. It seems like you have the start to a very interesting story.
"I watch my memories like a picture show behind my lidded eyes and let them relax me. It has been such a happy, fulfilling life…"Category: Completed Short Stories
I am so glad to see this up. I hope everyone enjoys reading it as much as I enjoyed watching it transform. Keep up the fantastic writing.
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! As I said, your help was immeasurable!! *hugs*
Draco and Ginny reminisce about their Hogwarts days as they prepare for an anniversary party.Category: Completed Short Stories
Brilliant, Wolfie. It was as if I could see the story progressing as you wrote, like a movie- catching snatches of their memories as they prepare themselves. For a moment I was a bit afraid you'd go and have them with separate people, reminiscing over an unrequited love as they attend a mutual party. I was pleasantly surprised.
Author's Response: Thanks. :) I had to toy with the ending a bit before I decided where I was going to go with it. I love happy endings, what can I say?
They say a journey begins with a single step. When Draco decides to adopt the child Ginny has been caring for, he places the first stepping stone on his and Ginny’s journey.Category: Long and Completed
Tam- I am so glad to see this up! I enjoyed it as much this time as the first.
Author's Response: Thanks, Katz :) I would have had it up sooner, but the exchange wouldn\'t let me. Thanks again for the awesome beta.
While on a mission for the Order, Ginny Weasley is captured by an unknown nemesis. She is taken to the Velamentum, an order shrouded in mystery. A proposition is given to her. She accepts, and her world is turned upside down. Concepts she firmly believed in are challenged. Friends become enemies, enemies become allies. Trust is non-existent, danger abounds. And in the midst of this, Ginevra Weasley manages to fall in love. But does she love a friend? Or a dangerous enemy?Category: Works in Progress
This is a very interesting and new premise. It begins in a place no other story has, and I am intrigued to see in what direction it continues. Well done.
Author's Response: thanks. yeah, i was trying to do something unique, and i\'m glad that it worked.
This really was a great ending for this chapter, the perfect definition of a cliffhanger. I also thought your characterization of Lucius was very well done. Great so far. I am looking forward to reading the rest.
Author's Response: Thanks! I\'m glad you liked Lucius. I was hoping his character would turn out well.
I would say that in this chapter the characterization of The Order of The Phoenix is a little off, but I am no stranger to OOC. I find it hard to believe that they would ever sacrifice Ginny, but desperate times call for desperate measures, yeah? I think in their minds they would be trying to justify it, perhaps by thinking they were going to do everything to prevent her from dying. Anyways, this chapter was great, and once again, I am waiting for the third. I cannot wait to see how Draco and Ginny interact.
Author's Response: Yeah, I do understand that the actions of the Order seem extreme, but don\'t worry, more insight will be given on that later in the story. Thanks for the wonderful review. And the interaction between Draco and Ginny... well it will be interesting. ;)
