When Rose Weasley went to her favorite aunt for advice on how to handle loving someone her family disapproved of, she never dreamed the older woman would have been able to relate so well. The minutes ticked by, long enough for Ginny to know that against all reason, all common sense, she still wanted impossible things from him. But she would leave. Even after today, even when her body ached from him and for him, when she could feel that he had begun to shape her to him, she would turn around and leave him. I will, I will, she thought.

Hmm, don't agree with one of the reviewers. I don't think that Draco doesn't love her. I think he does, but that he doesn't recognize the emotion as such, or doesn't believe that he can because of what happened with Marie.. Also, I'm starting to doubt whether Draco even knows Ginny is Marie.. He called her Marie several times (or started to), but with the conversation in this chapter you got me doubting it all.. I still stand by my previous theories though :D Also, cuz you said this will strictly be d/g except for a few lame ass relationships like h/g, I don't think Draco could love someone else than Ginny, let alone that she be the reason why he can't love Ginny!

Author's Response: You may be right. ;) (I'm not saying yes or no...) Draco has definitely convinced *himself* that he doesn't care about Ginny, but whether that means he really doesn't or not, only time (and more chapters) will tell. No, Draco has never actually, literally thought to himself, "Hmmm... Ginny Weasley is the same person as Marie Tessier." (See? Marie even gets a last name.) But I'm not saying any of your theories are wrong... (or right...) (stirs the mystery pot of chocolate some more. I think it needs raspberry flavoring.)
I see there is a lot of speculation about Draco traveling in time and therefor knowing what he has to do.. But can't it be that futureGinny traveled in time, and told him stuff? So presentGinny doesn't know, but presentDraco does?
And please please update, I am absolutely hooked.
Could it be that Marie is Ginny? That Ginny travelled back in time to finally sleep with Draco because she knows she can have him as a eighteen year old boy, and that he disappears six months because he's with her? And that she does some kind of spell to look different, and calls herself Marie?

Author's Response: Thank you thank you so much! :) It almost never ends up being a good thing when somebody says that they want to hack into your computer, but I think this actually is. I'm starting to feel more and more convinced about my theory :D To me it's obvious that Draco knows a lot of things Ginny doesn't, also regarding their relationship.. I really think she went back in time, polyjuiced into Marie, and eventually told him the truth.. And know he's making sure he'll get her in the future as well 'cause he luuuuuuuvs her :D

There are always certain parallels between your stories.. Draco was used to torture prisoners as a 16 year old, he's magnificent in bed, he really wants Ginny to be a virgin, wants her desperately, only loves her, and so on..
I think all of those things are going on here as well. He really wants her to stay pure, and I think he good so angry about Harry because she told him as Marie that she had never been with someone else, and that she'd wait for him, or something along those lines..

Author's Response: Well, it's always the same Draco and Ginny feeding me information about what really happened... um... (van pulls up. why do they keep chasing me with those butterfly nets?) I mean, it all comes out of original canon, and my imagination. That's it. ;) But there are some truly new twists about D&G's characters that will be revealed in this fic-- (oops they're getting out the straitjackets) okay, I think I'd better lace up my Rykas and start running. At first I didn't understand why evolution would be so important, but now I get it. Also, I have another theory now! Ginny obviously realizes that there was something in Draco's passed that made him evolve from the innocent boy in the portrait, to the hard, sometimes scary, man he is now. Will she go back in time, to try and create a different path in evolution? To change the past? To not make him hurt by Marie, but maybe loved?
Anyway, amazing chapter, please update again soon! I love the fast updates :D

Author's Response: It's okay! No theories have been conformed or denied. We don't actually know anything new, because we already knew from the cookie in Cookie Chapter 37 that *somehow*, in *some* way, Ginny had something to do with Draco's original initiation ceremony. But I think just the fact that Ginny has had so much interaction with the 16-year-old portrait Draco means that it wasn't too hard to figure out already. And really, that's hinted at in the fic summary that's been posted as a header to each new chapter anyway.
Trust me, this is NOT the same as saying that Ginny is Marie!! It's just not as obvious as that.
Oooh, mystery mystery! I enjoyed this chapter very much, although I hope Ginny will continue to get stronger. I like to think of her as a very fierce and strong-willed character, but it seems like she loses herself a bit in the last few chapters.. Ah well, really enjoyed this (evil cliffhanger tho) and hope you will update soon!
Author's Response: Thank you! I think that this Ginny continues to go back and forth some. She does lose herself a little bit, then realizes what's happening, then gets disgusted with herself and pulls back to her strengths again. There's SO much more to come and we're getting to a really exciting part... ;)

Can it be that Draco already was in Azkaban, but both of them have had memory charms on them? I somehow keep thinking that so much more has happened between them already, because the bond seemed to be there already before anything happened between them..
Anyway, this chapter made me a bit sad. Although I'm sure Ginny wants to sleep with Draco, I also thinks she wants him to love her. But because he's afraid to admit his feelings (because I think he does love her, he just doesn't think it possible) and she doesn't say how she feels.. It's just so frustrating to me, and I really hope Ginny's first time will be with a Draco that can admits he loves her. In my opinion every girl deserves that (not with Draco of course lol).
I just hope Draco can open up a bit more. I think deep down in his heart he wants to show all his sides, the scary ones and the good ones, to someone and still be loved.. And the same goes for Ginny I guess. They should stop walking in circles!
Ah well, still thanks for the chapter :) Your writing style is amazing and the story is nice to read, apart from the fact that Ginny and Draco are not behaving the way I want them to lol. Please update soon!

I thought all through the chapter, that although the story was still as smutty, there seemed to be a deeper layer of intimacy. I could really picture him touching her cheeck and she leaning into him.. I don't know, it just felt to me like the reached a deeper layer of their relationship.

I don't think Ginny should I agree with him, and I don't thinks he will. From your cookies from future chapters it didn't seem so, at least. I just wish she would say to him why she gets so offended.. Or just straight out ask him 'don't you care for me?'

Author's Response: They really are playing a game, aren't they? But things are coming to a head VERY soon, one way or the other. I really think that *eventually*, NYL probably will be finished, but God (or maybe Loki, snerk) only knows when that will be. I actually do know exactly how it would end. So yes, I think that one day, I'll do it.
I actually cried while reading this. And considering the fact that I was reading it in the university library, that was pretty embarassing! I think you portray emotions really well, I can almost feel what they're feeling.

Oh btw, I just read through the cookies again.. The part where they almost have sex, she says something about him choosing her above Astoria.. This is logical, because she asked him to leave Astoria. So does that mean that he does so, and in public to top it all off?

But yes, he obviously does choose her over Astoria eventually, and yes, other people in the wizarding world do end up knowing about it. BUT, the eviliciousness of the plot device involved... (snickers just thinking about it.)

I love your style of writing, and although I extremely disliked the first chapter (sorry, but I just hate it when the books are mentioned in a story), you made it up completely with the last few chapters. I would really like to see more of this story. I also really like the role Narcissa is playing, I always have thought of her as a very intresting character. Please update soon!
