Seriously, though, I enjoyed this little holiday fic very much. I love Draco's Grinchy attitude, and that he finds the office more inviting than home because Ginny's made it so. I was thrilled that he hit Colin. Lord knows the prat deserved it! Well done!

I read this when you first posted it, but I was at work and didn't get to review.
First things first, SQUEE!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been hoping for the next chapter of this story for quite awhile now!
I love how pragmatic Pansy is. She's all 'Do what I say, I've figured this out. Don't give me any crap.' I can't wait to find out what it means that Blaise saw Pansy casting the spell. Did Pansy intend to be seen, or will this muck up her plans?
I laughed aloud at Seamus being turned to stone. Poor Seamus, I usually like him, but in TW-verse he's a real putz.
I loved Draco and Ginny's dance, and his real sadness over what was about to happen. I was surprised by his snide little remark about 'partaking what every other male had'. Ouch. Jealous much, Draco?
Well worth the wait, and now the wait begins again. Expect much prodding from me!

Ok, I love it. I was dubious when Pud told me about a Mounty!Draco story, but you've written it incredibly well - very believable. I love that only Harry recognizes Draco straight away. I love John. Was there some mutual John/Neville tension, or am I imagining things? I'd love to see a sequel to this, there are still things to be delved into. Like the person REALLY responsible for the kidnapping, since Draco and Neville both believe the two that were caught couldn't have been. There could be a wonderful plot dealing with Marcus and Pansy trying to go after Draco for abandoning the cause. There's the John/Neville thing I'm hung up on. And, of course, pink haired babies. Yeah, I'd love to see more of (soon to be former-)Mounty!Draco and Ginny. Well done!

What a couple of blind idiots. Argh. Neither is willing to just come out and say what they really feel. "Yes, Ginny, I am in love with you. I want to marry you and have lots of babies. Now quit being a daft cow and tell me you're in love with me, too!" *grin* All in good time, I suppose.
My only real complaint is that boths parents have actually cursed AT their toddler. As a mother, I have a real issue with that. Cursing in front of him during an argument is understandable. Cursing at him is just wrong, and I'd like to think they would be better parents than that.
At any rate, looking forward to next Sunday's update.

I understand your problems with cursing at the kids. I have none of my own, but I\'m wanted to cuss and scream at little children before. I tell my Mother that I have no maternal instincts whatsoever (this based on the fact that I am a couple of years from 30, have no desire to have children, and often forget that my dog has life functions the same as I do).
You know what, I really appreciate you addressing a problem you had without being insulting. I\'ve been insulting to people on occasion on purpose (people think I\'m rude a lot more often than I am simply because I have a dry sense of humor) because they continually don\'t listen to reviews such as \"GET A BETA\", but I\'ve had more people be nasty and rude with the last couple chapters of this fic -- it\'s ridiculous, really. Of course, I wait until I\'m in a foul mood to respond to those review *smirk*. So, thanks for not being rude and keeping it constructive.

I forgot to mention in my previous review, that in the passage where Draco asks Ginny not to cast the contraceptive charm, it never actually says that she does finally cast it. Any possibility that she was so flustered by their conversation that she forgot to? I rather doubt it, since months have passed since that scene without her noticing anything pregnancy related, but a girl can hope!
Also, no need to credit me for the 'daft cow' line. I actually picked it up from the first Bridget Jones movie, when Mr. Jones says to Mrs. Jones, "I'm joking, you daft cow. Pam, I just don't work without you." I love that movie.

I just started reading this story and I haven't decided what I think of it yet. You've written it well, but it makes me cringe to she Ginny so subservient. I suppose that's the point. I wonder, though, given that the story is titled 'Lies' and Ginny has no access to the outside world beyond what Draco shares with her, is her family REALLY dead? Or does Draco just want her to think that they are? She really has nothing more than his word and a newspaper, which could be faked easily enough. Something for me to ponder until the next chapter.
