Two and a half years after his failure to kill Albus Dumbledore, Draco has long been accepted back into the ranks of the Death Eaters. He is still obsessively searching for the rebel Ginny Weasley, but he hides that secret well. When she is found one snowy December night, he smuggles her onto the Death Eaters? train with him. And he begins to learn that nothing will ever be the same again?Category: Works in Progress
What a rotten bastard you've made Harry out to be! "Hey Ginny, go whore yourself out to Malfoy!" I don't really mind though, as long as it makes it easier for Draco and Ginny to get together. I like the irony of Draco berating Harry for his blindness in not suspecting a love potion when Draco is being just as blind when he judges Ginny's behavior towards him. Looking forward to Ch. 18!
I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it many more times. Poor Draco. Excellent chapter. I was a little surprised that Snape didn't ask Hermione about Draco stopping Bellatrix from molesting her but the wizarding world has its own way about things. I hope we'll see the next chapter soon!
Oh dear. Poor Draco allowed himself to be bullied into doing horrible things. That does not bode well for him. I keep grasping for a glimmer of hope but they are in short supply today. Well, even without proof I still think Ginny loves him. Hopefully it will work out in the end. Or I may cry.
Oh dear. Who's not really dead? Is it Dumbledore? And what is Draco going to do to Ginny? I was too surprised after the last chapter to put together a really coherent review but I've had some time to think about it. I don't think Ginny's involved with Harry. Or if she is, she doesn't love him anymore. She loves Draco, I'm sure she meant it when she told him so. Prior obligations forced her to betray him but that doesn't mean she didn't want him. Oh, and someone seriously needs to put the smack down on Ron. (I can't believe I just used that phrase.) He's gone 'round the bend. Looking forward to Chapter 14 and the many surprises it may contain.
*jaw hangs open, eyes blink dazedly*
*mouth moves up and down, no words come out*
*squeak*
*passes out* *thud*
Evil, evil TEASE! We fangirls are ready for action! *sigh* I guess we'll have to wait a little longer.
I think Ginny and Draco are being pretty naive about Ron, though. Draco should have put the same spells on Ron as he has on Ginny and made sure he left. There's just no way Ron's going to abandon Hermione and his sister. He'll try to break them out and get them all caught or something. Or maybe he's just prepared to die. Whatever happens, I'm fairly confident it won't be that Ron slips off the train like a good lad.
As always, an excellent chapter. The tension may just send me over the cliff.
Just give in, Draco! I find Snape really intriguing. He tips off Draco here and there and helps him out in little ways. I think he knows that Draco has Ginny. I'm curious about the comment Snape makes about if Ron could tell them where Ginny is it might be worthwhile to keep him around. I have a feeling it links in with whatever Ron wants her to remember. Good chapter!
Woo-hoo! That was great! I'm curious if Draco's Crucio will work properly or if he's gone too soft to pull it off. One minor correction, Draco has called Ginny by her first name before. He did it in the first two chapters at least, I didn't check beyond there. Anyway, well done! Today is my birthday this was a great present! I hope you're just as quick with the next update!
Well, Draco finally got him some Ginny-love. Does she really love him? Would she abandon her cause to be with him? Was she ever allowed to be useful to her cause in the first place? I don't know. I just don't know.
Hooray for naught bits! Hooray for more things to ponder while I wait for the next chapter. Good job!
GAH! What horrible news will Snape bring to the meeting? What does Ron want Ginny to remember? Did Ginny lie about her experience? I need to know! Another tantalizing chapter. I'm aching for the next one!
Is it odd that this chapter gives me hope? Ginny loves him, maybe she can figure a way out of this mess. I so want a happy ending.
Oh dear. It was Draco's bit about what man would touch a woman after a Dementor had that made Hermione leave Snurk, wasn't it?
I liked Draco's realization of how little he was fooling people. We all have moments like that.
Those randy kids! *giggles* They have such an odd relationship. So very intense. When they finally meet in day to day life, I wonder if they'll have a hard time mellowing that desire into something sustainable.
I'm still bewildered by Bella's purpose. You have an incredible imagination, Anise. I don't know how you can come up with all these intrigues and subtleties (sp?) and make them all blend together so well. You really should write original fiction, if you don't already.
I'm sure someone else has mentioned it, but you've got two instances towards the very end of this chapter where you use 'Snape' where it should say 'Snurk'.
I'm counting on you to save Snape. How many more dailies do we get?
But I don't want Snape to die! *wibbles*
I must've said this a million times by now, but poor Draco. Is there no end to the blows this young man will have to take?
As always, you've brought new twists and torture exquisitely. I can wait to read tomorrow's update!
One more daily chapter - probably with another big cliff at the end. *grumbles*
Well, I had the feeling she was going to say it was Draco, but I don't know how that could be possible. He could be having memory lapses from some sort of spell, or have a twin (which seems unlikely). I don't know. I hate not knowing. No wonder Ginny hated him. Poor Draco, just when he's beginning to get a conscience.
Information tease! I think it might have to do with Narcissa, although I'm not clear exactly what about her.
Poor Draco, frustrated at every turn, even when he thinks he's getting somewhere. I'm curious, and I know I'll find out eventually, but I'll ask now just for the sake of it. When Ginny leaves, will the next six months be glossed over quickly, or will there be lots going on while Draco is alone in Azkaban?
One more daily, right? Then the wait continues...
I love how light and easy Ginny is being now. It's the first glimpse of peace we've seen with her. Draco is still a spoiled, selfish man, but he's improving. It's difficult to change lifelong habits.
I wonder what Snape does need to speak to Ginny and Draco about separately, though. I suppose she might need to tell him about Alistair and Andrew, but what does he have to tell her?
Also, as much as I'm loving this calm part of the story, I get the feeling that it's the eye of the storm. Now I'm tense because the story is going so well. I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop. *sigh* I feel a 'Poor Draco' moment coming on.
Excellent chapter, as always.
Poor Draco, growing up is hard. And poor Ginny, she's so desperate to be loved and wanted for who she is, rather than what purpose she serves. At least they each recognize that the other is genuine in their desire, and to a certain extent in their affections. How many more dailies do we get?
Oh, you are a terrible tease! How can you leave us hanging like that? I can only imagine what's going to come out of Draco's mouth next. Just like Harry Potter. Ouch. These two just can't seem to communicate. I'll be back tomorrow for more!
Oh, I'm so proud of Ron! I like him far better than Harry. I feel a little sorry for Harry, though. He's had such a crappy life. I wish he could rid himself of some of the darkness, and find someone to love. I'm still a bit confused about his feelings for Ginny. I understand that he's not angry with her about the love potion anymore, but what changed him from being disinterested in Ginny to wanting to be with her? Was it just her sacrifice, or expectations, or just a possessive sort of thing? It's just odd that he got so wrapped up in 'love' for her that he despises Draco for winning her affection when before, Harry only wanted her while he was drugged. I suppose it could have more to do with his hatred of Draco, and feeling that Draco should never have what Harry believes is 'his'. I realize I'm rambling about something that wasn't in this chapter, but I'm curious.
And it was very sneaky of you to have Ginny and Luna leave, so that Draco can't get any insight into Ginny's feelings about the ordeal on the train.
Tomorrow seems so far away now. *sigh*
I love the interaction with Snape, and I love Draco's vulnerability. Snape and Draco are similar in the depth of their feelings, whether feelings of love or feelings of dislike.
Smut scenes are always welcome from you, even if it is Draco and Blaise.
I've missed this tension, for all that I want to know what happens RIGHT NOW. This sense of something building, and the not know what - only that it's not good news, it's really addictive. I wonder what that says about my character. Hmm.
Now onto specific questions. Did Harry get the wand? Is he trying to seize power - he was affected in Stongehene, too? Is Narcissa really dead? I can't remember why I suspect she is alive at the moment, but I do. Where is Ginny? Are Draco's fears about Harry forcing himself on her founded? And, while I think he probably is, I'll ask this just because I want to hope it's not true. Is Arthur Weasley really dead or is Harry perhaps helping him fake his death for some reason we don't know yet? They were closeted away together pretty often.
Until tomorrow!
Oh! This is the last I'll be able to read for a few days! What a horrid place to end! I almost hope Ron kills Harry. Almost.
How can they keep this from happening!?

Ah, Draco. You've brought his inner romantic out beautifully.
Author's Response: Thanks! I think that Draco is the kind of boy who would never admit it in a thousand million years, but who secretly has a wide romantic streak. He has a mental picture of how the world should be, which includes Malfoys being better than anyone else, and him being lauded and praised by the world and having the perfect love everyone yearns for and envies. And, in my hands, he frequently does. ;)
His only consolation was the fact that her eyes didn’t light up when she looked at her husband the way they lit up when she looked at him all those years ago. He had never seen Ginny look as positively alive as when it was just the two of them together, those times when they could pretend that everything was going to be okay.Category: Completed Short Stories
A very poignant one shot. The Pollyanna in me would love to see this continued to a happy ending of some sort but I can appreciate the beauty in its sadness.
