*very happy satisfied sigh* I knew it would turn out wonderful and smutty. I had faith in you! Draco is sweet with his attempts to woo her (silly Blaise I might add), but it was effective nonetheless. I loved the ending - he really has loved her forever and she was just too stupid to see it. I just glad that they managed to get their act together and get on with the smutty goodness. Thank you for the fantastic cheer - I so needed that today.

That's right Draco, just overwhelm her - don't give a chance to say no - just keep assaulting her with your charm and your fantastic bare chest and teasing about your previous evening together. She'll give in. She'd be brain dead or stupid not to. Just don't give her any choice or time to think. If you want this this is how you have to go about it - make it so that she needs you in every way just like she needs air to breathe. That's the ticket...I can't wait to see what else he has up his sleeve...err down his silk lounging pants.

Dear Draco, You just can't keep your hands off her can you? That's okay though, Gin really doesn't seem to mind. Look, she's willing to give a go and she's not even going to hold on sex until you get to "know each other better." You couldn't ask for a sweeter deal, but you'd best not blow your chance by doing something stupid. Your reputation does proceed you and she's skitsh at best. Take care and win her heart. I have faith in you that you'll do right by her. Love, Pud.

Dear Draco, I understand that you are in love with Gin and are desperate for her to return your love, but moving in so quickly? Sweetheart, you haven't even told your respective families yet about your still very new relationship. Sure the sex is fantastic and you do have a good time together, but are you truly ready for 24/7 action? I'm quite positive you both are capable of having your 'moments' that drive the other insane. Please, please, please don't do something stupid to ruin this. I want you to be cautious and take good care of her heart and your own heart. Just please be careful and don't push the issue. It's cute right now because the relationship is still in that shiny new/fantastic sex stage, but things do change - just please keep this in mind! I say this because I love you oodles and I just want you to be happy. Love, Pud.

Author's Response: I just had to respond to one of my favorite ladies even though I've been trying to focus my energies of getting these stories out. You know my motto 'no story shall have an unhappy end or at least one in which Draco and Ginny do not end up together'. However how they actually end up together may not be smooth. This story has taken on a life on its own and I don't think the three or four chapters I originally envisioned will be enough. Let me just say that the fact that they haven't told their families will definitely be a factor and that as of this point in the story, Ginny's not actually a resident of Draco's flat. Hee hee.

Dear Draco, Apparently, you did not heed my warning in my last missive to you. What you have done this time is beyond words. Normally I would defend you until the end of time (and I have done so even when you've done some rather questionable things), but this time you have gone too far. You have done something that is unforgiveable, even for you. Your charm, good looks and money will not get you out of this you've created. You could have had something wonderful with the most intelligent and beautiful witch and you had to go and ruin it because she quibbled about moving in with you. Two months was too soon Draco. But you never could handle being told no could you? You just had to go show her who was in control didn't you? She said no, she begged you to stop, but you wouldn't. Yes, her body reacted to you but that doesn't change the fact that she didn't want it. Then you had to be an arse to her. If you'd been smart you would have fallen to your knees and begged her to forgive you, but you just had to be an arse. I truly hope you enjoy being alone because I don't see her forgiving you any time soon, if ever. And I must add that I am horribly disappointed in you and I withdraw all my support as well. I'm firmly in Ginny's camp now. And you only have yourself to blame. Pud.

Dear Draco, You find yourself in a right pickle don't you? And you unestimated your father once more. I don't know how you are going to get yourself out of this mess of your own creation. For your information Ginny is going to deny, deny, deny and deny some more. She even has a back up in Luna to help her. You are going to come out of this looking like an arse no matter what you do. Your father is manipulating you just like he did when you were young. And you played right into his hands when you did what you did to Ginny. All he has to do is sit back and enjoy the show. You are in so deep now that I fear you may never find your way out.... Pud

Dear Draco and Ginny, Sorry, but I have to address you both because this applies both ways. I want you to remember "what tangled webs we weave when we first practice to deceive." Both of you are going to get in so deep that neither of you will be able to find a way out. Now you are both being stupid and underestimating your families. This precarious house of cards you are building is going to come toppling down on you both. I have this feeling we haven't seen the last of Lucius Malfoy's deviousness and I also get this sneaky feeling that something major is going to force you two to have to deal with one another...I'll be waiting in the wings with my "I told you so." Pud.

*sobs* That was horribly gut wrenching. *heaving breath* Poor Ginny. I just want to gather her in my arms and tell her everything is going to be okay. Draco at least made a step in the right direction - he tried to explain, but she's not in a place where she's willing to hear what he has to say. He's wronged her badly and it will take a good bit for her to listen to him. Lucius needs to die and die painfully and slowly - I vote for peeling his skin off and rolling him in salt. He just had to go make a very bad situation worse by meddling. Narcissa seems like a woman with a plan, but I think she's underestimated the situation....oh gosh this is just so good! I'm so glad you updated!!!!

Reviewer: Rainpuddle Signed
Date: Jan 03, 2005 Title: Chapter 8: Starfish and Stick

I must say Narcissa has some backbone having to choose been her husband and her son. She definitely made the right decision because Lucius is out of control. He has already cause more harm than can possibly be repaired properly - none of them an afford any more of his meddling. At least Draco has finally seen the error of his ways, and although he desperately wants to right his wrong, this one isn't easily fixed. He crossed the line, gifts and saying I'm sorry won't make it go away. It will never go away. Ginny is in so much pain, more than he'll ever know. She loves him that much is obvious, but it is enough to over come the broken trust? Once trust is broken is is awfully hard to regain, especially after the way Draco broke it. Now with Blaise teaming with Luna to right wrongs and Narcissa freelancing things will most definitely get interesting!

Reviewer: Rainpuddle Signed
Date: Jan 09, 2005 Title: Chapter 9: The Hawkshead Attacking Formation

It's an awful way for Draco to learn that his actions do have dreadful consequences. The mess he created is almost beyond repair. Narcissa is a strong woman, tossing her husband out and learning that her son is a rapist in the span of the morning and not killing either of them. I suppose she knows how much this is eating at Draco. It must have been difficult for her to see her grown son cry. I have to give kudos to Luna for at least putting up a bit of a fight before being overwhelmed by Blaise and Narcissa. And I have to feel sorry for Ginny, being tagged teamed by Luna, Blaise and Narcissa there at the end...

Reviewer: Rainpuddle Signed

*huggles Ginny* The poor girl has been through so very much. It's just gut wrenching. Hopefully a little time and distance will help her gather her thoughts. And I'm glad that Narcissa was disgusted with Draco - she can't fix this mess. He's going to have to figure out how to fix it himself - if he can. I can't believe Luna would forward letters, but I suppose she's trying to make her friend happy again. I wonder how long it will take Gin to get up the guts to read one, if she ever does.

Reviewer: Rainpuddle Signed
Date: Feb 10, 2005 Title: Chapter 11: Time Out

At least it's a start. Draco can't ask for much more than that. It does have to give him some hope though that she at least read his words and found something there worth trying for. I think she loves him far more than she's willing to admit. I think that Draco will be on his best behavior from here on out because he's learned a very painful lesson in what happens when he gets out of control. Ginny is a brave, brave witch for even trying. *sniffles*

Author's Response: This is the hardest story I've written and considering my meager output, that probably isn't saying much. I think this would be a smutty little sequel to Catching the Snitch but the dark side of Draco seduced me.

Reviewer: Rainpuddle Signed
Date: Feb 13, 2005 Title: Chapter 12: Resuming the game

*huggles Draco* He is so close to what he wants, but he needs to step back and allow Gin to go at her own pace. He does realize that she'll spook easily if he comes on too strong. Someone (Blaise, Luna AND Narcissa) needs to impress upon him (strongly) that good things come to those who wait. He's almost there, but coming on too strong...she wants lunch not marriage. Maybe after she returns home for good... Please, please, please Draco don't fuck this up! This is about the rest of your life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love it!!!! You have made me one of the happiest people alive. I'm very sorry to see your wonderful story end, but you ended it on a beautiful, happy note so I can forgive you on that account. I know how long and hard this has been for you, but thank you so very much for finishing. It was perfect!

Author's Response: Thank you so much, your praise means a lot to me. I wondered if I'd have the courage to finally finish this story and finish it in a way that didn't make me cringe. I realized in the end that I loved the Draco I created and couldn't leave him and Ginny hanging in limbo, particularly after I'd turned him from the dark side. Now to indulge my guilty pleasure and keep him on the dark side in Obsession Fulfilled. Ah, the possibilities revealed in HBP.

Love this story. Love, love, love, love it. I think your Ginny is dead on. She would be profoundly affected by her father's death, especially in the manner that he died. I love your Draco. He's a Draco I could totally fall for - strong and sure of himself. All he wants to do is his job, but it's obvious from the second he walks into her office, he has a connection with Ginny. I love the evolution of their relationship from witness/unspeakable to friends then to lovers. It's a natural progression that is not forced - they just ease into it because that was what was right for them a that moment. The ending is perfect. They came into each other's lives after this horrific event, but they found each other and a happiness neither knew they were capable of. What they have together is beyond any words they can say to one another - they are soulmates. *happy sigh*

This is possibly my favorite of your D/G ficlets. I think I like it because I like being in Draco's head - that is so rare. I'm not usually keen on first person, but it works beautifully in this situation. Here he's been having this illicit affair with Ginny and is unable to acknowledge it in any way, shape or form. It's plainly obvious he's in love with her, but due to circumstance he's unable (maybe unwilling) to take the chance by acting on his feelings. Then she goes and turns his whole world upside down at the very end...leaving everything open to possibility. *happy sigh* Perfect.
