NEW, REVISED EDITION!! The Last Chapter. See what you think of this version! :)

Six months later, her dream has finally come true… except that Draco Malfoy just won’t leave her alone. I must confess that I red the originl version of Bound so long ago that I don't really remember how that ends nd can't comment on the differences.

However i remember that the previous version was much more vague and hard to follow. This one is better in that sence and I liked the hopeful ending.

So what to wait for next?

Author's Response: Thanks! :) Basically, the previous couple of chapters were only the same in that everything turned out to be Ginny's dream. There was really no D/G interaction *after* the dream. And I think that it didn't actually make sense-- after everything they'd experienced together, they would have really struggled to find each other afterwards. I really do think that this version is an improvement.

What's coming next.... let's see... I'm working on revising KC, and it REALLY will be revised. It'll be the same up until the part where Draco shatters his soul on Azkaban through trying to get to Ginny, and then it all starts to change. In other news, over on ffnet, I'm going to start posting BBC!Sherlock fics. I'm a Sherlolly shipper, so they're all going to be Sherlock/Molly Hooper. Who knows... maybe I'll do a D/G crossover eventually! :)

The Quick and the Dead by Anise    (Reviews - 107)

Yes, in yet another sign of the coming apocalypse, QatD has been resumed...

Warning: this one is DARK! On a spring morning at the end of his seventh year at Hogwarts, Draco Malfoy stepped out of the shadows that hid him in the prefect’s bathroom, where Ginny Weasley was swimming. When she saw him, she didn’t behave sensibly at all. So of course he had no choice but to do what he did next… or at least, that’s the way Draco remembers it. Now, it’s two years later, and Draco is about to learn the hard way that his bond with Ginny can never be broken… and that nothing which begins, ever really ends. The sequel to Szarenea's *Slave.* Eventually, there IS smut. Be patient. ;)

Anise!
You know i love your work, you are amazing!
but I can't bring myself to read this story even though I'm sure it's outstandingly done. I accidentally read "slave" (the basis for this story) a while ago and I still shadder...

Remaining your fan always!

Author's Response: I totally understand. Believe me, *Slave* creeped me out to such a degree that I felt compelled to write QatD as a way of at least bringing Ginny back to life, from what I can remember originally. Actually, it's weird that I started writing this again... it was never the most popular fic I wrote by any definition. But a big chunk of the rest of QatD has already been written literally for years, so I think that's a big part of it. Also, I feel that this has to be brought to its conclusion, or we just have crazy!dark!Draco left hanging forever. ;)

Crossing into Chaos by Emeral_eyes    (Reviews - 512)

*Completely AU* In a world where Voldemort was never defeated, only a few things matter: pureblood, money and power. All that Ginny Weasley wanted was to survive her 7 years at Hogwarts, a school where the children of the richest and most powerful wizards dominate over others. Denying her natural instincts, she managed to make it into her 6th year without offending any of the cruel and powerful Slytherins - especially that horrible Draco Malfoy. Until one day, she crosses a line, and her peaceful existence is shattered forever. A story filled with adolescent drama, clash of the classes, angst, jealousy, ridiculous pride and love triangles (and squares).

P.S. I refuse to believe that Blaise only asked Ginny on a date to get back at Draco for sending him after Cho. I think he respects her more than to just use her like that. Perhaps he is trying to be a shield so that everyone thinks she is with him and not with Draco. Or do I make him too noble?

Author's Response: Yep, you make him too noble. I mean, he has, since enacting his little plot, become a bit of a D/G shipper, but nothing so noble as you're thinking. He's still a Slytherin, and in many ways, just as selfish as Draco.

Oh, thank you so much for the update! Each new chapter of this story is like a special gift. I'm glad that Draco and Blaise worked things out between themselves in the end. But it scares me that when Draco is in a fit of rage it takes someone else to stop him. He can't do it by himself. And of course he won't walk away from Ginny to keep her safe (like Harry would have done) because he is too selfish and she's touched something inside him that no one has touched before. Ginny might appreciate his determination to make their relationship work but she also understands much better than him how much danger for both of them this relationship holds. I wonder what she will do.
Hopefully, it won't be long wait to find out as the updates became more frequent.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! The thing about Draco isn't so much that he's *selfish* - it's that he's arrogant. He understands how much trouble lies ahead for them, but he is completely confident that he can outwit, evade, outrun, out-scheme everything and win the day.

And, yep, he's definitely got some rage issues. You'll find out a bit more about the history in that area in the next few chapters.

You know, this story is what got me hooked on D/G!

I'm happy to see that you are continuing it.
Draco has to learn that he can't have anything he fancies just because he does.

And Blaise - I think he is up to something. It's obvious because even though he knows about Draco's posessivness towards Ginny, he deliberately comes to the "3 Broomstics" to ask Ginny on a date in front of him. Is he trying to get them together?

Thank you for the incredible story!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! Blaise is definitely up to something. You'll find out next chapter what's going one with him, and what is motivating him.

Wasn't Angelicue the one Draco danced with on that ball were they snuck Ginny in?

I'm so happy to see the update, it's always such a pleasant surprise.

It's good to see that Draco and Ginny's relationship is progressing. But while he has his friends guarding her I don't think he's aware enough of the danger she's in. I think his arrogance is to blame. He is sure that he can handle this. Of course, his parents could always force a marriage on him. It's not clear whether he is ready to defy them. It would also cost him a lot.

Thank you so much for the update!!

Author's Response: Thanks for the comment! With regards to Draco's arrogance, you might be on to something there... hehehe. The biggest question between these two will come back to something Malfoy said way back in Chapter 5...

Nineteen Years Later... the Truth by Anise    (Reviews - 893)

What really happened in the DH Epilogue of Doom. Poor, poor Harry, so very clueless...

Chapter SIXTY-NINE quote of the day:

Ginny scowled at him. “You don’t know me very well.”

Draco shook his head, his eyes more sorrowful than ever. “No. I don’t. Eternity wouldn’t be long enough for that.”

“Why do I feel as if we’ve suddenly wandered into the set of a men’s cologne commercial?” complained Lucifer.

“Can’t you keep your damn mouth shut, Lucifer?” spat Draco.

“Please… really… I don’t think you should talk to him that way,” whispered Ginny.

I actually have mixed feelings about it. on one hand, of course I want to see this finished, but on the other I was really waiting for new chapter of DDD. Are you putting that on hold now?
Please please do both!

Well, I really have NO clue as to what will hppen next/ But I really liked that while Lucifer counted on her not trusting him anymore, he didn't think of the fact that Ginny's love remains the same, perhaps even more now.
I'm glad they are finally talking about everything.

Author's Response: True. They're talking about everything (except that one last thing, anyway), because this is such a different Draco from DDD. He's learned and matured so much (but then again, in some ways, maybe not!) Much more to come, and another new chapter of DDD soon, too. :)

Waiting for more.

Author's Response: Thanks! :) I'm happy for them too. Yes, I kind of... um... cut the chapter off at a strategic point. As you've figured out, it's much more of a cliffie than it seems to be. More coming soon...

i was so tuched and happy that Ginny learned to accept Draco no matter who or what he is! And yes, those things he said to her upon their parting might have been clues because he never ordered her around before/ And what he said about their house and Malfoy Manor, does it mean that there are some clues there that will lead Ginny to him? Will Ron, George and Blaise help her or is it something she has to do on her own?

Author's Response: Thanks! :) Some very good guesses here about what might happen next... Draco did everything he could to leave some clues for Ginny, but he couldn't be very specific about anything. We'll see how much she figures out on her own (and with some help.) More soon, but probably another chapter of DDD first!

I've been reading your story with great interest and I'm happy that you are continuing.

I'm really worried about Ginny. I hope the potion didn't work! I'm so looking for a happy ending to this!

But whatever happens I really enjoy your characterization of Draco and Ginny and you also managed to pull Lucius off!

Author's Response: Thank you! I know I made Draco a little out of his normal nasty character, but I really wanted him to be more of a hero on this story. He has so much potential. I was worried throughout that I made Ginny a bit too passive. She's really not. I think of her being more active in but she seems to be cast in situations where she has to sit back and wait. But I am so glad that you like how the characters came out, and thanks for reading!

Millions and Millions of Malfoys (And One Very Sleep-Deprived Ginny) by Anise    (Reviews - 401)

Ginny Weasley is absolutely sure that Draco Malfoy is hatching a particularly evil plot as junior head of the Ministry Department of Culture, and that it definitely involves puppy-strangling, bribing officials, and consistently wearing trousers tailored very tight in back. Or at least it's a theory that makes sense when she's been surviving on two hours of sleep a night for far too long, and Draco keeps vetoing her sketches for the new marble statues at the Ministry fountain. But then Luna Lovegood gives her a potion with some very curious effects, and Ginny finds that she just may have to revise her opinions about those evil trousers...

It's a fantastic story. The flashback part explained everything and you still managed to leave questions and suspence which is really great. Ido so hope Draco will confess that he loves Ginny (though if I understood everything correctly he already did a couple of times in his own way) and they will get together forever...Though how that will happen I have no idea. Please don't abandon this fic!

Draco's Dangerous Dilemma by Anise    (Reviews - 1418)

All Ginny wants is to get the upper hand just once with drool-worthy hunk of man candy and callous playboy Draco Malfoy before he moves on to his next careless conquest. So how did this simple plan lead to time travel, nefarious plots involving the most infamous whorehouse in the wizarding world, and the teenaged Draco’s achingly sweet, chocolate-flavored kisses? Even Draco Malfoy was innocent once, as Ginny learns all too well…

Chapter ONE HUNDRED EIGHTEEN Quote of the Day:

THE LAST CHAPTER

The minutes ticked by, long enough for Ginny to know that against all reason, all common sense, she still wanted impossible things from him. But she would leave. Even after today, even when her body ached from him and for him, when she could feel that he had begun to shape her to him, she would turn around and leave him. I will, I will, she thought.

“You don’t understand,” said Draco.

“Oh?” Ginny said stiffly. “At least he hadn’t touched her, she thought. She would not be able to find the strength to pull herself away from him, and she knew it.

my first thought when I reached the end of the chapter was "This is it?!"

But it really was a great chapter.

I liked that Ginny was active and took control.

I loved that Draco was the one to suggest they call each other by first name.

I liked that he took her to his apartment.

I liked everything.

Also, I hoped that Draco will reveal some information during his climax as he doesn't really have control over what he says then.

And what will happen now? I hope draco doesn't expect Ginny to just be his mistress. Perhaps Kingsley will annul his marriage to Astoria and then they can go out to the world and see how everyone reacts to their relationship.

Author's Response: Thanks! :) Nope, the end of this chapter is NOT the end of what's going to happen between them here, but Ginny was very worn out by the end of that night with Draco. The girl needed some sleep! ;) Much more will be revealed in the morning, let's just say.

I was almost crying in the end, when he did that memory charm. The chapter was so intense! Ginny really learned more than she bargained for!
The interesting thing was that all the time in this fic we saw Draco who knows all the answers and knows what he's doing. But in this one we actually learn that there are quite a few things he doesn't know or doesn't understand. He is sure he's got the right way to handle his situation and Ginny but he really doesn't. And I think Ginny might have understood some things in this chapter more than him. I also think she is right and he really is underestimating Astoria. And from where exactly does the spell spart? She won't remember anything of what went on in the chapter or just from some point?
We had some revelations here that might be in favor of "Marie is actually Ginny" theory - Draco sais she suddenly disappeared (could be going back to her time) and that whatever there is between him and Ginny feels like they were together before. Only I thught at first that he knew they were together in the past but now it's obvious that he didn't. I'm still not 100% locked on Marie=Ginny theory though. From what Draco said she obviously wasn't a virgin when he met her (that's obvious taking her occupatio into consideration). So if Ginny is Marie she goes back in time after being intimate with Draco. I still can't wrap my mind about Ginny posing as a companion at Crystal Palace. I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
I was also wondering: during the events of the 1 chapter (Draco's encounters with Ginny) he already wanted Ginny but he also already was with Marie (he tried calling Ginny Marie on numerous occasions) so it's like he was drawn to both of them at the same time! (I know, I know, that could be two Ginnys but we must explore other possibilities)! I've been thinking about that part for some time now. And well,it looks like some of Draco's memories were also erased. I think he mentions it in this chapter.
And we don't know where Lucius escaped from and Draco returned him to. Also we don't know where he sent Harry. And we still have to see how this horrible night ends.
Seems like you've got pots and pots of bubbling mystery in your basement.Every time youreveal something you immediately pour some more mystery from those pots!
And my review ended up long again. Sorry.

Author's Response: You don't ever ever E.V.E.R. have to be sorry about long reviews. :)

Anyway, yes, Ginny learned a lot more than she thought she would. (And she's right about Astoria-- we'll find out more about that soon.) One thing she found out was that Draco was really putting up a front all along and pretending that he understood much more than he did. He never actually knew almost anything about Marie, for example. To clear up a LITTLE bit more re: what he knew about Ginny: he's been interested in/obsessed with her for a long time, but he never thought she was Marie. (Is she? Oh, come on, y'all KNOW I'm not going to clear that up at this point. ;) Anise stirs the bubbling pot of mystery in the basement and tastes it from the spoon. It needs more chocolate....)

Well, it was a very satisfying way to end part 1. There's a sence of completedness on one hand but there are things that remained open on the other. I'm happy that Draco didn't think of asking Ginny to become his mistress again. And i liked how Ginny had her insecurity issues yet again and all of her blushing was adorable!

and I loved that scene in the end where they give each other as much as they can of their hearts. I hope by the end of part 2 They will belong to each other completely.

So Draco did file for divorce, didn't he?

I have a feeling that it won't be as easy as he thinks to prove that Astoria lied to him.

I'm really looking forward to part2. I think Draco should take some self-defence classes in the meantime for when Ginny's brothers, especially Ron, find out what he's been doing with Ginny. Also Molly will eather mourn the fact that Harry is not going to be her son-in law, or she is going to think that Ginny is just going through a "bad boy" stage. And I'm very worried of what Harry might do to Ginny when he finds out. And of course he will double his efforts against Draco.
Also Ginny has to deal with the whole chamber thing and how will Draco react to that? And I suppose she'll remember those times when Draco obliviated her. And there's the whole issue of marie, and where Draco disappeared to after the war, and what happened to Narcissa, and Lucius won't be sitting still too, I suppose/

Oh, and there's the promise Ginny gave portrait Draco, we shouldn't forget that!

This all makes for an eager wait!

AND A HUJE THANK YOU TO YOU FOR TAKING US ON THIS JOURNEY.

Author's Response: Thanks! :) I think that you summed things up really, really well. Draco went through an entire character arc here... (musings ahead) I think that his absolute low point was around Chapter 21, with the events that ended up with him Obliviating Ginny. The central question of DDD, in a way-- his "dilemma"-- was whether or not he'd ever really be able to fight his way back from that. Could he evolve enough as a person to reach this ending with Ginny? He finally did, and so did she, which is where the sense of completion comes from. But they've got such a long way to go, as you pointed out. She still doesn't know that he Obliviated her, and it's the one thing she hates the most. She's never told him about the CoS. And Lucius, Harry, Astoria, etc., are still out there. And we don't know about Marie. Oh, yeah, and Draco is in mortal danger from Ron... :P

But I have to give just a LITTLE cookie crumb away... *The Shadow By My Finger Cast* (Book 2)picks up exactly where Book 1 left off, and Draco immediately tries to start the legal wheels in motion to annul the marriage to Astoria. The problem (one of the problems, anyway), is that he opens a very, very large can of flobberworms by doing that. He doesn't really have any idea what he's going to start. But it's going to lead to us learning the answers to every question we still have at the end of Book One....

I've been pondering Lucius's whereabouts. He's obviously in Azkaban but he obviously wasn't convicted and sent to jail since everyone believes him dead, so I think this sell in Azkaban is also a soft place belonging to Malfoys. Did Draco put him in there? Probably. Yet, Lucius exercises some degree of control over there, he is a Malfoy after all. And Astoria obviously has access because she is still (unfortunately) a Malfoy. I assume that was also a part of why she so desperately wanted to marry Draco - to have access to Lucius with whom she is kinda infatuated and whom she helps to execute his plans.

I can only imagine that Astoria's history with Lucius is not a pretty one. For starters, she IS younger than his son. With this kind of age difference mostly sad things happen. Did Lucius intend her for this pureblood plan of his at first?

I think I'll quit theorizing now and wait for what happens between Draco and Ginny.

Author's Response: Mm. VERY interesting pondering, there. The Malfoys do seem to have a room everywhere, don't they? ;) Lucius had a way of escaping from every place that Draco tried to put him, so Azkaban was the only location left. Since you've figured things out SO well, I'll say one other thing: Astoria knew that consummating the marriage with Draco would be the best way to have continued access to Lucius. But it may not be the only way. And yes, the L/A story is a sad one. I can't reveal it all, but Lucius figured out years ago just how useful she could be to him. He never intended for her to take Ginny's place in the pureblood plan, though. Anyway, more soon!

Oh, your teenage Draco is so adorable! And he was so funny speaking of present Draco!
So what was this twilight state that Ginny was in? She wasn't entirely asleep, but it looks like she wasn't entirely awake eather. What's with this bottle? Did Draco actually make her forget their conversation? And will he find his portrait?

The portrait Draco said that when initiation takes places he will cease to exist. But Draco actually had his initiation, so why the portrait still exists? Is it because Draco was with Marie while the portrait Draco waits for Ginny? I'm absolutely confused!

Also i don't think Draco tried to say Marie. I think that perhaps he was trying to say my mother. Am I any close?

Waiting for more as usual.

Author's Response: Thanks! :) I just love portrait-Draco too. He's so cute, and he doesn't know how to pretend he's not jealous. ;) Ginny was somewhere between sleep and waking, I would say. I don't think there was really a bottle, but it might foreshadow something else... and yes, for now, Draco really has made her forget their conversation. The problem is that these things are going to have a way of coming back to bite him on his perfect butt. Ginny's problem is that she keeps making all of these vows; Draco's is that he keeps thinking he can Obliviate people without consequences. Will Draco ever find his portrait? I can't answer that one...

And something clearly has gone very wrong. Draco did have his initiation, so the portrait-Draco should not still exist, and he never should have gone through those miserable months on the shelf wrapped up in Draco's jumper. The question, of course, is what happened. We WILL find out eventually. And you do make some interesting guesses, but I can't tell if you're close or not.... ;) More soon.

Ha! So he does remember somethingof that Bass Blue episode! He says he gotevidence now that nothing happened with Dean, so obviously he thought there was something, wich means he remembers their encounter.

The dinamics were wery intense between them in this chapter! But I find miself very irritated that he keeps calling her Weasley. I mean, one moment he's saying romantic things (like in the end of ch.47) and then he says Weasley.

That was interesting about the dream- the fact that they both dreamt it.Is it some obliviated memory,or a glimpse intothe future or perhaps it's his soul crying out for her.

I bet Draco was really shocked that Ginny was so concerned for him. Must have been a first in a long time.

I wait impatiently for what's up next. By the way, Flitwick is a really nice comic relief.

Author's Response: I think that Draco doesn't exactly consciously remember anything about what happened on the night of the art opening. If Ginny questioned him about it, he'd say that what he said was based on the fact that he knows Dean was running around in the tunnels after her. But you're right-- there HAS to be some part of him that remembers something. He's so good at compartmentalizing his head that nothing is coming out right now...

You must be psychic! You're onto something with the way he keeps addressing her as "Weasley." Much more coming soon...

Something new from Anise. How nice! Is this going to be something like The Jewel of the Harem? I mean travelto past and so on. Also I'm a little confused by the character death warning. I usually don' read fics where Ginny or Draco die. But I'm starting tolike this one. Oh, what do I do?

Author's Response: Ginny doesn't die and neither does Draco. It's *another* character. That's kind of unclear... maybe it was just more confusing than anything else to add the character death warning...
