Recent university graduate in her first years of her career, still trying to figure out that whole "being an adult" thing, how to balance the rigours of the first few years of a career, the weight of actually having a career, working 16-hour days and still try to have a personal life.

My favorite things include ranting on my LiveJournal, Hana Yori Dango, trying to conceal the fact that I'm a blatant review whore, and of course, Harry Potter.

If you are interested in learning more about Hana Yori Dango, check out my LJ for more information.

I'd prefer that you didn't read The Visible Invisible, but if you must, please keep in mind that it was written sometime before OotP came out, and rather scary with how far out of canon it is, and how OOC Draco and Ginny are.

Your writing is like heroine: extremely addicting and painful to have to go through withdrawal from. This story is shaping up to be fantastic, I was hooked by about the 2nd paragraph of the first chapter. And now, thanks to the mighty power of Google, I know the story of the fairy tale itself (and things have become much clearer), I'm possibly even more eager for more story!

Draco's Dark Cloud by Mynuet    (Reviews - 56)

One morning, Draco Malfoy woke up to find himself half-drowning. He sat up quickly, water running off the planes of his face as he tried to decipher the cause of this nocturnal aquatic apparition. He was in his private room at Hogwarts. Peeves did not appear to be in the vicinity. He looked up to see if perhaps his bed's canopy had developed a leak when he saw it. Against all the laws of sense and probability, a tiny grey cloud was hovering just above his head, sending out an inexhaustible amount of rain.

Unreasonably cranky when it started raining...that was great! I think it's so amazing that you can take one of the cartoonish-cliches (the rain cloud over someone's head following them around) and transform it into something fresh and creative and make it work in a story...I'm looking forward to reading more!

Great start! I like 'double-agent Draco' stories, but I'm curious to know if you'll develop his reformation from 'evil git' to 'double agent' at all. Can't wait to read more.

Author's Response: This story will be very much a character study so I will definitley get to that. The one benefit of using older characters is that they have experience to mature them but I have a feeling that some part of him will remain an 'evil git'. I think its part of his charm, but then I always fall for the bad boys *sigh*, lol. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Ah, political intrigue, hidden motivations and absolutely lovely writing! Glad to see a new fic by you, big fan of your other work. One note though; I would suggest going back to using italics to indicate the flashbacks, instead of the 'flashback/end flashback' tags. It was perfectly clear that it was a flash back when you used it in the first chapter, and subsequently, the flashback tags tend to interrupt your otherwise lovely flow. Can't wait to read more soon!

Very very interesting. This has given me quite a bit to think about, that's for sure. I was trolling around on JKR's site, actually, and I saw something that made me think of your argument re: whether or not Draco's a pureblood or not...."Don't forget that, as Sirius revealed in 'Order of the Phoenix', none of these families is really pure - in other words, they merely cross Muggles and Squibs off the family tree and pretend that they didn't exist." While the whole "who is the HBP?" has been the million dollar question ever since we learned the title, this essay combined with what she's said on her site have given me some pretty good reasons to believe that Draco is at least a possibility, whereas before I would have discounted it completely (I still have a nagging feeling it may be Hagrid). In any case, you've given me a lot of things to look for and attempt to explore more deeply on my next read-through of the books!

Creamtea: This is definitely an interesting view point. While I see almost everything argued as possible, whether or not it's actually plausible rests on the nature of Draco's character. He's been established since the beginning as Harry's rival and enemy, and his actions (at least through the Harry filter) have done nothing to let us think otherwise. You've offered a lot of insight and some very interesting interpretations of things that could otherwise be seen as 'throw-away' scenes, but a lot of this rests on how JKR intends to use Draco - basically, is he just a spoiled bully following in his father's footsteps, or is there something more to him? I'm hoping for the 'something more', myself, but I'm glad to see that in your interpretation, you didn't fall into the "Draco will be reformed into a Slytherin version of Harry, all heroics and self-sacrifice" because I'm pretty sure that no matter what happens, Draco will always be a self-interested and selfish person (it's just who he is), even if some of your conjectures do play out. With only a few more days to go, your theories have increased my excitement and impatience for the 6th book.

I really enjoy this fic. I particularly enjoy the fact that it's written, mostly, from Draco's POV, and the way that you've characterized him. I have full intentions of returning tomorrow to finish it off, and can only imagine that the rest of it will be as thoroughly satisfying as the first 14 chapters I've read.

What I admire most about this fic (other than all the research and explanations that must have gone into it, and the fact that you were able to construct an engaging fic around wine vintages) is the fact that the entire story is told from Draco's POV. It's very rare, I find, for an author to chose to tell the story only from his perspective, most either bouncing back and forth from various characters, or sticking with Ginny. I know that I, personally as a female, have a lot of trouble writing from a male's perspective and tend to prefer to write from my female character's POV. The fact that you've stuck with Draco throughout the fic, and that it's very convincingly done, only adds to the originality of the fic itself. I really enjoyed reading it!

Author's Response: I\'m glad that you enjoyed the story, especially the perspective. It was fun to write--and a challenge as well. Draco isn\'t an easy character to capture (and I\'m sure I didn\'t do as good a job as others have, for example Anise in KCotDT), but in this case he came awfully close to writing himself. It was clear to me that if he were to drink wine, he would have to be a wine snob, and I\'ve met lots of those. Anyway, I would certainly recommend writing a Draco-centric story to anyone who wants a bit of a challenge. It certainly can be an adventure.

Hee! I love Angry!Ron, and Weasley insanity, and the fact that you used the word 'daft' in a fic, as it is quite possibly my favorite word in the English language that is not used nearly enough as it should be!

Just a few things I'm not quite clear on: what was the deal with Ginny wanting to see Hermione's socks? I read it twice, but I think I'm still missing something... and why was George picking up the ring? Was it because Ron asked him to, or because Ron didn't have a ring...

Hee...handcuffs...lol

Author's Response: LOL! I love the Weasleys! They make me laugh! And the word \'daft\' has to be the best word ever. Anyways, I should\'ve stressed the fact that Ron has a sock fetish & that George was picking up the ring because Ron was too afraid to ask Hermione to marry him, hence why Ron specifically told George NOT to go out & fetch it. Handcuffs = fun. Thanks for the review!

This was really interesting. While it definitely stands alone, if you ever feel so inclined, I'd love to read an installment about their encounter during her fourth year and what she saw during that glimpse inside his head that could create a connection that would lead to this encounter.

Lovely, as always.

Author's Response: Yeah, it was supposed to be just a paragraph or so, but... Yeah. Anyway, here it is, a bit of a reward to the reviewers.

\"I want to know what the weapon is,\" Malfoy had said, and the students assembled in Umbridge\'s office stared at him dumbly. He looked at each of them in turn, and finally put his hand on Ginny\'s arm, dragging her away from the others. Over his shoulder, he snapped to the other Slytherins, \"Keep them still.\"

Ginny struggled and tried to break his hold, but he was too strong. When they were at some distance from the others, able to be seen but not heard, he muttered, \"You watch all the time, you must know...\" And, quick as a snake, he grasped her chin and jerked her head up so that her eyes met his.

There was another mutter, completely indistinct, and she felt trapped in his gaze, completely open to him as she felt her memories rush past her eyes and, somehow, past his. Harry\'s indifference, Hermione\'s condescension, Ron being a prat, Percy, the twins, Christmas, her birthday, the Chamber... And, despite her trying to shy away from remembering him, Tom. It all went by in a split second, and as she felt tears well in her eyes, something shifted.

She saw a blonde woman crying, and felt like it was her mother. Lucius Malfoy smiled at her. She was flying behind Harry, clutching his broom. It was Christmastime, and a large pile of presents was ignored in favor of a warm three-way hug between the Malfoys.

Seeing them that way, as a real family, and feeling the love that flowed between them, scared her as nothing else did. She didn\'t want to see them as human, didn\'t want to think about how a loving person could have handed her the diary (but you didn\'t have to use it, did you? He didn\'t make you, you wanted to, whispered a small voice in her mind.). Without any conscious thought, Ginny felt her hand fly out and she hit him, one of her nails catching on his skin and leaving a scratch, and the connection was broken. She grabbed the wands he held and ran, determined never to look at Draco Malfoy ever again.

Draco's Dangerous Dilemma by Anise    (Reviews - 1418)

All Ginny wants is to get the upper hand just once with drool-worthy hunk of man candy and callous playboy Draco Malfoy before he moves on to his next careless conquest. Even Draco Malfoy was innocent once, as Ginny learns all too well…

Chapter ONE HUNDRED EIGHTEEN Quote of the Day:

THE LAST CHAPTER

The minutes ticked by, long enough for Ginny to know that against all reason, all common sense, she still wanted impossible things from him. But she would leave. Even after today, even when her body ached from him and for him, when she could feel that he had begun to shape her to him, she would turn around and leave him. I will, I will, she thought.

“You don’t understand,” said Draco.

“Oh?” Ginny said stiffly. “At least he hadn’t touched her, she thought. She would not be able to find the strength to pull herself away from him, and she knew it.

Oh, this story is so delicious. I haven't been this wrapped up in a fic (and compulsively checking for updates twice daily) in ages!

Harry's arrival certainly sparked something in Draco, now didn't it? I really enjoyed his interaction with Harry in Chapter 9, and his command to that Ginny wait for him sent my heart a-flutter! I'm currently convinced that there is something much larger going on, and that Ginny is definitely part of that bigger picture, in ways that she has no idea, and that Draco perhaps has an inkling... He certainly seems like he's trying to prevent something from happening, or protecting Ginny from something, but to what end?

Anyway, the chapters are lovely, as always, and I'm eagerly waiting the next installment (and hope for more Draco in the next chapter?)

Author's Response: Thank you, thank you! Yep, more Draco to come soon...

“Somewhere that looked like King’s Cross Station?” asked Luna.

“Yes!” Draco tried to sit up all the way and failed, flopping back down onto the bed.

A thoughtful look came over her face. “I think that I do, but I don’t believe that anyone else does. Maybe it’s better that way.”

“Probably. Look, uh… where’s Ginny?”

“She’s not ready to see you just yet,” said Luna. ”Here’s a napkin.”
