And in the darkness bind them.Category: Completed Short Stories
Delicious. Just beautifully poised and gracefully rendered. You have a lovely deft touch with the narrative and a steady hand with the details. I am very, very impressed (and am about to go forth and read everything else you've got on here!). In particular: I love the delineation of the narrative, the way it starts with "we" and then fragments into three separate "I"s, and the shadows cast upon the trio by this war, by this incident, and how in comparison, Draco and Ginny are almost serene. They've gone through the dark and reached some sort of zen. Hermione's hate and Ron's helplessness are piquant and perfect.
COMPLETE! When Draco Malfoy overhears Ron Weasley saying something about a mirror that apparently showed him a glimpse of the future, he is determined to find this mirror and use it to aid Lord Voldemort. But things don’t always go as we plan, do they? Written mostly from Draco’s POV, this fic will include mysterious spells, transfer students, strange and interesting new plants, problem parents, OotP members, occlumency, Draco Malfoy with attitude, Ginny Weasley with even more attitude -- and at least one person gets kissed! Ships include D/G, R/Hr.Category: Long and Completed
Have had two moments of outrageous hilarity thus far - Draco's mental pleading for her to offer to sleep with him, and "One should never miss an opportunity to humiliate a Gryffindor. Slytherin Handbook, page 12". Just about fell off the chair at that one. *G* Honestly, I could handle a lot more of the random snark, though I find myself skipping over the "plot" stuff - I blame the fact I only have a couple of hours to play in the fandom sandpit a day.
Speaking of which, I have to stop reading for today, but will come back again and read more later.
Lovely stuff with Myrtle, btw!
Author's Response: Thanks! Hey, that's cool. Can't let fandom consume your life, right? ;) And just wait until Fred and George arrive -- they will crack you up! :D
