I leave really long, flowery reviews to compensate for the fact that I myself can't finish a fic for the life of me. I currently have about 10 unfinished fics that have been elaborately woven and given life... I just can't finish them because I apparently lack an artistic touch.

The Lush Life by Vesanmyn    (Reviews - 657)

A Vesica/Mynuet Collaboration. If Ginny had even the slightest inkling of what the day would bring, she probably would have called in sick. A disastrous press conference proved to be no match for the spin doctoring talents of Lush's chief and Ginny finds herself catapulted from being a lowly intern to the very eye of the storm, living a double life as a careerwitch and glamorous front woman for a racy new line. Throw in a few A-list events, a few dozen crises, an endless promotional tour with her new co-worker and the last person she wanted to spend time with, and a mystery waiting back home that neither of them may be able to solve….Every day's an adventure when you're living the Lush Life!

I love the fact that Ginny is almost equal to Draco in terms of societal status and career status. That's really what makes this fic enjoyable for me. All around this is a fun fic, and I look forward to seeing more of it!

Thanks for the fun and tiramisu! :)

Author's Response: Ves and Myn say: It is a pleasant change to not see Ginny as some sort of street urchin he takes pity on. Our girl’s got game and he’d better stay on his toes!

Unforgivable by Anise    (Reviews - 110)

Draco found Ginny in an abandoned classroom just after the Christmas holidays in Ginny's fifth year, and he did something unforgivable. But then, later on, she found him... and they both found that their combined fates could not be fought.

I'm extremely surprised that I haven't read this fic already, and I'm even more surprised as to why this isn't considered a D/G classic. I guess its because it is a lot darker than most people like, but I have to say, this fic really set a new bar for all the fics I read.

I read this all in one go, and that's really the best way to read this fic in my opinion. Through out the conversations at St.Mungo's, I could feel the secluded, quiet, sensual world that D/G were absorbed in. I really can't describe it in words, but I felt this odd omniscient power where I was gazing into a world where only Draco and Ginny existed. I felt all this before the last chapter. So artful talent or mere coincidence? I've read some of your other fics, and I choose the former.

The ending was definitely unique, but for some reason, it just worked. I can't imagine an alternate ending now. The sad, ironic quality was just perfect, and it integrated well with the little, hinting quotes in earlier chapters.

Absolutely gorgeous prose and characterization. Thank you for the thrilling and thought-provoking experience.

You mentioned that you didn't know if they sold Thunderbird in the UK so I thought I'd post this little tidbit from Wikipedia. Someone may have already sent this to you, but it just caught my eye.

"Thunderbird was once marketed in the United Kingdom as "The California Aperitif.". The 1950s radio jingle that promoted Thunderbird had a song that sang, "What's the word? / Thunderbird / How's it sold? / Good and cold / What's the jive? / Bird's alive / What's the price? / Thirty twice.""

Author's Response: "The California Aperitif"? That's hilarious! Thanks for letting me know! :)

Hello, new reader. I read all of this fic in a day, and now that I've caught up, I wish I savored each chapter slower. :)

First off, you're writing is fantastic! The way it flows, the dialogue, the plot twists, the characterization. I was thoroughly impressed from the first chapter I must say. Do you have any original fiction? You're OC, Pierce is just amazing. He sort of represents what Draco is in most D/G fics in my opnion. Pierce is that character that the reader convinces themselves into believing that their good, but conflicted which is usually what Draco does. Interestingly, your Draco from the beginning of the fic seems to have a firm decision. I think thats what amused me the most. I'm a little curious to see if there is any more development left for Draco as a character since he seems fairly secure in who he is, his actions, and his love for Ginny which is kind of shocking to me. Draco, out of all the characters in your fic, seems the most "settled" from the get go. I don't know if that makes any sense, but I just thought it was very different for a D/G fic.

My theory is that Pierce is not dead because well... we can't leave that whole Naomi thing hanging. Right? That and I'm sure everyone is wondering whether Pierce will give up the deatheater thing and face his inner demons. I mean the build up on Pierce is huge, him dying would be just... so open ended.

AND the grand finale HUGE question I have for this fic is, is Snape genuinely fighting for the deatheaters and is he going to play a bigger role in Draco's fate in the next chapter? I'm one of those people who believes Snape killed Dumbledore as a promise to him, and I'm interested to see what you think of this through Snape's actions in the next chapters.

AWESOME read. I really enjoyed it up to this point. Its been so long since I've read a well developed fanfic. Thank you so much. I look foward to your next update!

That was fast! I'm very thankful for that too!

I must say that the Ginny-Harry break-up scene was perfect. At first I thought Harry would be too possessive and foolish, but it worked out perfectly and he wasn't annoying. Huzzah!

I look forward to the next chapter as always. Pierce dead? No. I still can't imagine it.

I honestly think you're a great updater so I don't think you should worry about that all the time. :)

I don't have much time, but I thought it was a good chapter. The worry that Naomi went through was very clear, and it was endearing that Ginny trusted her so quickly. Although I do think Ginny was a little foolish to trust her so quickly, I hope for her sake that it was a a good decision. :)

Lovely story, and I can't wait until Draco enters the picture again.

I'm a bit late in on the fun... (since it is summer right now BUT) I thought this was incredibly sweet and *gasp* CANON. I loved how it had a simple little plot tie to make it work post-HBP. Honestly, very creative.

It makes me feel fuzzy and wish it was Christmas. Thanks. :)

Author's Response: Don\'t worry, I get Christmas-y in the summer too. :)

It was my first go at making a fic true to HBP canon, and I\'m particularly proud of it. Thanks so much for the awesome review!

This was a great read, and I loved the depth that Ginny had at the beginning of the fic. She had sincerity, real life conflicts, and emotions.

But I have to say that my favorite moment was the end with the strawberry cake. I laughed out loud. Thanks for a fun read.

Author's Response: So glad you liked it! It was a joy to write! And Thank you so much for letting me know!
Best!

Your speed with the updates makes you one of the most fun and rewarding authors to follow. Thank you!

I actually normally don't like these casual friendship stories, but there's something about this story thats so simple and enchanting. Im really enjoying it. Lately the journal hasn't been used as much, but I'm looking forward to when comes back into the story because I really enjoy the journal writing! :)

Author's Response: I'm afraid you might be disappointed, the journals don't play as big a role now that our favorite characters are inseperable. They will be used every now and then, but not as often as before. Please don't hate me! :P

I liked the vagueness, and the scenario you've constructed all from one perspective.

You do a great job of conveying the environment, but my one criticism is that the description is a little bit too much; a little flowery. The use of descriptors sometimes becomes distracting rather than supplemental. For example: "A wave of rumbling thunder crashed in the sky above the lonesome manor—the lone figure jerked upright, her eyes clouded with sleep, a single hand anxiously massaging her disheveled hair. Hastily kicking the slippery sheets from her legs, she blinked her eyes and strained against the perpetual darkness." The repeated use of "lone" and "lonesome" in the same sentence reduces the effectiveness of the adjective, and "perpetual darkness" is vague and doesn't make too much sense. Perpetual indicates a duration of time rather than a depth or intensity which is what I think you're trying to convey.

You really have great talent with describing an environment, but your prose would greatly benefit with a more selective use of descriptors.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for such a great review! I would have to agree that when I write I tend to be too descriptive- I am constantly fighting it, and sometimes let my imagination escape through my words. I actually was trying to convey a duration of time in regards to the darkness- everlasting darkness, if you will. I wanted to draw a parallel between how she perceives her world, and how it actually is. In reality, we know that this story takes place during the night, and the sun will rise, but through the fog of her mind, she cannot see anything but darkness and hopelessness.

A Second Beginning by Sannikex    (Reviews - 123)

For Ginny Weasley, being thirty-two years old and divorced while struggling to raise a teenage son on her own, romance just isn't on the map. But when help comes from the most unexpected source she has to re-examine her priorities. Draco Malfoy has it all, the house, the job and the perfect son, but when he meets Ginny Weasley again he realizes all of what he never had.

Just started and caught up on this fic. Thank you so much for writing this! Its crazy to feel like these characters have actually grown up with us as we hit this point in our lives where we're no longer kids reading PoA underneath the covers.

Love it.

Author's Response: Welcome to the madhouse, haha. I'm so glad to hear you like the story! It is weird, isn't it? Reading the books the first time I was pretty much the same age as Harry and co for each book so it's strange to remember some things the way you did at first. But I'm really glad I have grown and the characters have so I get a chance to take them out and play! I hope you will keep enjoying!//S.
