It was a few days before everything went downhill. Dumbledore was still very alive, Snape was still snootily discriminating, Harry was still drooling over Ginny and she had aquired an admirer.Category: Completed Short Stories
This is so sad...
I'm imagining Draco sitting in his room writing these notes, and knowing that there's no way anything could happen between the two of them, because of what he has to do.
At the same time, I really enjoyed this story because it was a canon story; a lot of D/G stories these days are either AU or slightly skewed so that they work, but it was refreshing to see a great story that didn't need to be AU to work.
I'd love to beg for a sequel, or another chapter, but I definitely understand that this will stay as is. You did a brilliant job, though.
I'm just going to be honest. He's good looking, alright? That thought doesn't scare me. But sharing a moment with him? Now that was scary...Category: Works in Progress
Oh, I love this story. You post at ff.net as well, don't you?
Either way, it's good to see that you're posting here, and hopefully with more chapters. Happy writing!
Author's Response: I do indeed post at FF.net. I decided to post here because I just wanted to expand my horizons a bit. It\'s a different atmosphere entirely.
Anyway, thanks so much for reviewing and reading. It\'s wonderful to hear that you like the story. I\'m working on the most recent chapter (which will be first posted at ff.net while I edit the others for submission here).
Even if he only got a glimpse of her flame-coloured hair around a corner, it was enough. Enough to keep him breathing. Alive.Category: Works in Progress
Disclaimer: Harry Potter and all of the characters in his world are the property of J.K. Rowling and multiple movie companies and publishing houses. They get all of the money, I only get the pleasure of *breathy sigh* using Draco.
Hahaha! Ginny doing a half-innocent walk of shame is still pretty funny. I can't believe I didn't read this story earlier, but I'm glad that I've started it now.
I can't wait for the next chapter.
Author's Response: I\'m glad you\'re reading, too! She *was* innocent wasn\'t she? Ah, if only all walks of shame were that way!
What happens when a potions explosion coincides with Ginny's annual, self-imposed trip to the infirmary? Sometimes when you don't know who you're talking to, prejudices are laid aside, and you get to know the person behind the family. This is a response to the November challenge of "infirmary" on the FIA forums.Category: Completed Short Stories

Really wonderful. Their guessing game was very funny - especially when Draco asked if he'd ever flirted with Ginny before; I could just imagine how 'ha-ha' funny that would be!
Really nice job.
Author's Response: Thank you!
After eight years in France, Ginny finds herself a stranger in her own family. When she returns to Britain, she goes to work as a barrister. And that was how she ended up defending Draco Malfoy against accusations that he murdered Harry Potter.Category: Works in Progress
Nice start, although I'm sure that things will get a little depressing soon. I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with this!
Written for the 2006 DG_Smutakkah fic exchange. It hasn’t always been an easy road for them, but sometimes it takes getting really good and lost to find the way home again.Category: Long and Completed
This is a really, really interesting beginning, and your introduction made it even more intriguing.
My mother once said to me that leaving home is a big deal for kids themselves, but also for parents. When the house is empty save for everyone but those two, it's as if they have to rediscover what it's like to live with one another again, and I wonder if that's what Draco and Ginny will have to go through now.
Admittedly, I'm still young, and I'm not experiencing this myself, but I think that this will definitely be a good take on a more mature Draco/Ginny relationship, and I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with this story.
Author's Response: I\'m not near there either, but I have experienced the way a change in who is living in a home can really change the dynamics of those left. Funny how much our personalities are affected by who we are around all the time.
Glad you are enjoying this one so far and thanks for taking time to review! ~Ves
Ginny accepts a bet to kiss Draco at midnight, but she never anticipated what happens after.Category: Completed Short Stories
It was definitely up to par!
I started laughing out loud when Ginny all but threw a tantrum when Draco initially refused to go with her; I could see it perfectly in my head.
This was a lot of fun to read, and also a great way to start off the new year. Thanks!
Thirteen years after the Dark Lord was vanquished, Draco Malfoy is out of Azkaban, wandless, practically destitute, and physically afflicted from his trespasses against Voldemort. Who should chance by and save this shell of a man from what he has become, but a fiery redhead from his dark past.Category: Works in Progress
Draco has a rare gift and an all too common disease, Ginny has an irritating boyfriend and a desire to rebel. What can they expect from each other and who will end up surprising the other more?
I like where your story is going so far. Despite the Draco-as-werewolf debate, I haven't read any stories that tackled that idea, so I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with this.
Nice few chapters so far - and I LOVE long chapters, so thanks.
Author's Response: I certainly hope you like long chapters because these were my “short\" ones. *shifty eyes*
And I really can’t believe no one has ever attempted a story where Draco is a werewolf. Really? That’s just crazy!
Award-winning fic from the D/G Fic Exchange on LJ. "His body lies cold and still beside her; his mouth is open, an O, and his hair is drying, feathery, in wisps, over his closed eyes. That fair skin; that nearly white hair. Dead, he looks so young...."Category: Long and Completed
The dark and tragic story of a journey Under...based on the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice.
Aha! So now I know that you wrote this amazing story. Congrats on all of your awards in the Fic Exchange, and good luck in the FIA Forums one, as I nominated this there as well. This story was incredibly beautiful and you should definitely be proud of it.
Author's Response: Thank you so much, for the praise and the nomination! I\'m glad you enjoyed it!
Award-winning fic from the D/G Fic Exchange on LJ. Ginny Weasley just got her first job as a curator for the Wizarding Museum of London. Too bad her permanent employment rests on convincing the one and only Draco Malfoy to help out her museum.Category: Completed Short Stories
I really loved this story on the exchange, it had the perfect amount of fluff and humor, but without being overdone. I was also surprised by how well I felt like I knew your Ginny and Draco at the end, even with just this one shot. Great job!
Author's Response: Thanks! As of late, I only write one-shots (only half of which I post because the other half is practically illegible) and I\'m always worried about character development and plot progression. It\'s always hard to write a relatively short story and be able to express your characters properly and not rush the story. I\'m glad you think I did a good job.
I\'ve actually been meaning to read some of your fics for a while actually, I\'ll go do that....
She understood chocolate, and people. But why couldn’t she understand him? He understood his fiancée. And his life and then she came along. However, one thing they both know is that one taste is not enough.Category: Long and Completed
This is so beautiful. My eyes were glued to the screen the entire time. The words you used to describe Ginny were just incredible, and it's probably one of the most original takes on a D/G relationship I've read in a long while.
I also LOVED all of the chocolate you mentioned!! Brilliant story.
An accident caused Ginny Weasley to forget everything, her family, her friends, even the man she loved. Now the only way she feels at peace is by going out into the rain, but she doesn't know why. One day she meets a mysterious stranger out in the rain and something tells her that he knows something he isn't willing to tell. She now must find herself (and all of her memories) before the threat that caused her accident finishes her, and her love, off.Category: Works in Progress
Ahhh. I'm so intrigued...I have to hurry on to the next chapter...
Author's Response: Yay for being intrigued! I guess that means I am doing my job...hopefully.
"It wasn't meant to be. They both knew it."Category: Completed Short Stories
I absolutely loved this story at the exchange. Initially, I thought it would be that same sort of 'Ginny's married but cheats/elopes with Draco'. The End. And I had no problem with that because your story was written so well.
But I started wondering why Ginny never put in her two cents, and then came to the end to see what had happened, I was shocked. Great twist.
And this line is officially one of my favorite lines in fandom ever: "I gave Neville everything I had. I now wish to give to Draco what is left of me.
"
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I\'m so glad you enjoyed the fic. I wish I could take full credit for the last line but it\'s a mangled version of what was in the movie. :D
Draco experiences the utter horrors of...Valentine's Day. Unfortunately for him, not everyone has such an aversion to it. Oh yes, there will be pink...Category: Completed Short Stories
No, this was NOT pointless!! And I didn't even realize that this was your first posted fic -- I went looking for more and came up short, but I hope to read more from you in the future! I think you've actually managed to make me like Valentine's Day....
Great job.
Author's Response: Yay! Wow, this review pretty much made my day. I'm glad you liked it! You'll definitely be seeing from me in future. Thanks for reviewing!
What would make a family as close as the Weasleys turn its back on its youngest member? Ginny breaking Harry's heart might, as would her sleeping with Draco Malfoy. Too bad she's done both.Category: Long and Completed
I'm really enjoying your story so far. Draco and Ginny are both incredibly young, and can't imagine what it must be like for them, but I think that you've approached the subject in a realistic, not overdone way, and I hope you update soon! I can't wait to see how Ginny and Narcissa interact.
Memory is a maze of secrets, and the key to unlocking them comes from an unlikely source.Category: Long and Completed
This is definitely darker than I anticipated, but I'm loving it so far. I wonder when Ginny will start to remember things - if she does, which seem likely, as her instincts are already tipping her off about certain things.
Great job so far; I look forward to your update.
Author's Response: I tip more toward angst and drama in my writing. I don\'t think I do fluff too well. I\'ll let the story unfold so you can see what happens to Ginny. :) I\'m glad you\'re enjoying the story.
Woooooooooooooooooooowwww.I can't believe you finished it so soon, but it was fitting. It was like a short-story of sorts, and I loved it. You're amazing, and I hope you write more really really soon.
I felt so bad for Draco when he realized that the only way for Voldemort to "deal" with Lucius is to kill him. It's terrible. I hate Lucius, but he'll have no idea that that is even coming... Great job.
Author's Response: I\'m glad you loved the story. Lucius makes such a good bad guy. I can\'t help but make him nasty all the time. :)
Draco and Ginny had a messy break up after Ron found out about their secret relationship. Each is trying to forget the other with little success. In the meantime, Draco is having an identity crisis about the war and where he fits into it, Narcissa is making trouble and Sirius is trying to keep her under control and out of Lupin's trousers.Category: Long and Completed
How do I love this story? Let me count the ways...
You're an incredibly talented writer. I loved the humor of this story, even in really trying, dark parts. It gave it a nice balance and a beautiful flow. I sincerely hope you write more.
Author's Response: Thanks. What an ego-inflating review! I was really pleased with the pacing as well, though it was sort of accidental the way it turned out. And I am thinking about posting some more of my stories so you can hopefulling tell me wonderful things about those as well.
When Ginny isn't at St. Mungos, she's out hunting wealthy, single wizards... her favorite pastime. However, when one silver-eyed wizard refuses to give in to her irresistible charms (and retaliates with charms of his own), she does everything she can to ensue that she wins the game.Category: Works in Progress
I think you did very, very well! I'm definitely keeping my eye on this story. This is a little thing, but I have to say that I like the way you've characterized Ginny; I don't think she's quite a narcissist, but I do think that she's more than a little prideful.
I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with this!
Author's Response: Thanks! Ginnys not narcisstic, but she belives that shes capable of snagging men, which is probably true. Not everything is about looks!
Venturing after her in the dead of the night might prompt divulging not only his secrets.Category: Completed Short Stories
I haven't read all of the stories you've posted lately, but I've read a few, and this is my favorite by far. I love it. I love the characterization and the flow, etc, etc. Great job.
Who knew happily-ever-after could have an expiration date? New beginnings are hard, but when they happen in the middle of your life, they're infinitely more so.Category: Works in Progress
I really like the way you ended this chapter. Sure, I'm a DG fan, but I really do care about Harry (should I avoid any flying projectiles for saying that?), and I don't think he's a monster. I think that this was an incredibly mature and above all -- REALISTIC -- way to split the two of them so that Ginny can...move on to greener pastures...
Anyway! Really great chapter; I'm looking forward to the next.
Author's Response: Nope, there'll be no projectiles hurtling at you from my corner. ;) Are the "Harry's An Idiot" fics a blast to write sometimes? Sure, but like you said, I wanted this to be realistic. Nothing's more realistic than the fact that sometimes people fall out of love for no particular reason. I'm thrilled you like it so far. Thanks!
What do you do with a Death Eater when he stops being a Death Eater?Category: Long and Completed
I laughed my head off at the end. I can just imagine how horrified and offended Draco looked.
And I do hope that you at least consider writing a sequel...
Draco Malfoy is a man of wealth and taste. He prizes one work of art above all others.Category: Completed Short Stories
Wow, that was dark; but very well written. The thing that creeped me out more than anything was that he just left her body there; I suppose he'll "dispose" of it later.
Nice one (if this sort of story can be considered "nice").
Author's Response: Oh no, he\'s walked away and left the mess. That\'s what he\'s got house elves for, after all.\r\n\r\nNice to see you over here on the dark side. :D
*DH Spoilers* Moleskin is a handy thing. You can hide anything in it, and only the owner can retrieve it. A brief tale about things Hagrid has hidden in his moleskin overcoat, and the stories behind them.Category: Completed Short Stories
This was really nice; a different point-of-view than usual, which is nice, and a sad, but realistic ending.
Great job.
Author's Response: The realistic part is what makes it sad. And yet again, I [censored] hate that [censored] epilogue. It made sticking to canon and writing D/G entirely incompatible. Thanks for the review. :)
*Final chapter added* Parenting can be overwhelming, even for wizards. Especially when there are teenagers involved. Draco and Ginny, summoned to Hogwarts for a conference with their children's Head of House, share an interlude neither can forget.Category: Completed Short Stories
You're not actually going to leave it there, are you??
...I'm horrified...I don't want an open ending!!
Please, please, please add another chapter. It'd be the best beginning of the new year ever...
Author's Response: *pats the horrified spider* It took me awhile to get the time to write it, but I\'ve decided to dish up an honest-to-God epilogue to this. It\'s here at FIA posted as \'Interlude: An Epilogue-Type Ficlet\'. Hope you like it!
