Ginny, Draco, Quidditch, and entirely too close quarters. Being forced to train, play, and live with Draco for a season gives Ginny a whole new understanding of and appreciation for the amazing bouncing ferret. Ginny's POV.Category: Long and Completed
Oh no! I just saw that there aren't any more chapters at the moment. Ah well, I'm loving the story so far. Ginny's dream and her reaction upon seeing Draco only moments later had me in stitches. Can't wait for the update! Great job so far.
Sometimes the secrets that are kept are worth remembering.Category: Completed Short Stories
This is definitely one of the most creative DG stories I've ever read. I love the historical aspect, as well as the switching of roles (Evil Weasleys, wronged Malfoys). Great, great job.
Author's Response: Thank you. I\'m glad you enjoyed it. I had fun inverting the family stereotypes.
Draco Malfoy learns that some mornings, he should just stay in bed.Category: Completed Short Stories
I think I only caught on after Ginny told Draco that she was pregnant and then just walked off. But poor Draco. Imagine him going through the day all confused and sad - though he'd never admit to the sad part. Nice job.
AU. The summer before her sixth year at Hogwarts, Ginny Weasley is invited to a convention in San Francisco. However, the convention turns out to be more than she thought. Much more. What does Draco Malfoy have to do with it? Or an ancient group of warriors, for that matter. Could this, finally, be Ginny's chance to prove herself?Category: Works in Progress
Well, I for one am very pleased about the quick update, I've just discovered this gem of a story and so it was nice to read a new chapter so soon.
I'm really relieved that Ginny and Draco have begun to patch things up and are in a better state than they were before, although there are probably still some rocky patches ahead. And I can't lie, but there's something about Cassie that makes me suspicious of her. I don't think she's evil or anything, but just...something. I'm lame for not explaining well, but there we are. Maybe it's just her inquisitiveness.
Anyway, lovely update, and Happy Spring Break! Can't wait for the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks, I\'m glad you like the fic. Draco and Ginny...hehehe...I guess you\'ll just have to see. Like I\'ve said before, Cassie\'s gonna have a role to play.
The backstory to QatD. In the fall of his seventh year, Harry slips further and further into despair-- until he finds comfort from a most unlikely source. What the living can't understand, the dead sometimes do, or at least that turns out to be true of Myrtle. But she's got more than forbidden love to worry about. Ginny Weasley, the only girl who has ever been her friend, has a mysterious stalker... and when the truth about him comes out, it may be more than anyone can bear.Category: Works in Progress
I have to admit, only the knowledge that this fic is related to QatD, and that you write brilliantly led me to read a Harry/Myrtle fic. Surprisingly, it's not as frightening (that ship, I mean), as I thought it would be.
What was a bit unnerving was the image of Draco in the last chapter after he saw Ginny and Anthony in the Prefects' bath together.
Ah. More disturbing Draco. Just what the doctor ordered.
She just agreed to it to make everyone else crazy. Low and behold... success... and near arrests for kidnapping.Category: Completed Short Stories
When I realized what the name meant at the end I chuckled for about 5 minutes. Very cute story.
Draco's wife has passed away and made one last request: Having a surrogate witch have a baby for him. She wants him to have the whole experience of pregnancy that he could never have with her, so she asks for the witch to live with him during the 9 months. What will happen when Ginny Weasley is that witch? And what will happen when she finds out that the dreams that have been haunting her sleep have everything to do with Draco?Category: Works in Progress
"But if your kid has red eyes, just be sure to remember it's your own fault."
That line alone prompted me to give you a review. I didn't stop laughing for about five minutes. I'm off to the next chapter.
Author's Response: haha :) I\'m glad you liked that line. It\'s hard to find stories that make you laugh out loud, but it\'s nice when you do. Thanks so much for the review. It means a lot to me :)
Draco Malfoy is a horrible person. Lord Voldemort wants an heir. Can Draco meet the greatest challenge of his life: fatherhood?Category: Long and Completed
I read this story ages and ages ago, on ff.net, actually - and I fell in love with it.
And tonight, to procrastinate, and to read something really good and worthwhile so that I could take my mind off of things, I remembered this story.
So even though it's been awhile since you've written this, I just want to thank you for having created such a classic DG story. I love it.
Ginny sorts through old memories.Category: Completed Short Stories
There are some fics that are really wonderful, even without any dialogue, and this is one of them.
You write from Ginny's perspective so naturally that I can almost imagine this being part of an epilogue or something in canon. Really nice job.
Author's Response: I always get nervous about writing in the first-person, so it is nice to hear that it worked out okay. Thank you very much for the lovely review!
It's an old spell and an older oath, and Draco Malfoy would have laughed them off were he not in his present situation. Things being as they are, however, being married to Ginny Weasley might just be the answer to his problems. Pre-HBP.Category: Long and Completed
Oh, I can't take much more of this! This chapter actually brought me to tears at the end. What an awful case of misunderstandings. I don't even know what to say. Ah! I just want the next chapter to come so that I know they'll be alright.
I can't believe this. I actually can't believe this.
Is this the end? I really hope not, even though I'm ecstatic that nothing happened to Draco. Ah, this was so satisfying - this story has so many twists and turns that I wasn't sure whether Draco really would come back alive.
All I can say is that this story is brilliant. And that I love Bernard.
This was immediately my new favorite story when I came across it on Fiction Alley, and when I saw that you were continuing it here, I probably, literally jumped for joy.
This whole story has been marvelous, and I'm glad that I got to come along for the ride, with Draco and Ginny. MOST OF ALL - I'm glad that there was a happy ending. If anyone deserved it, it was the two of them.
You should be unbelievably, inordinately proud of this story - and not just because I love it, lol. But because it was so well-written and enjoyable. Thanks for writing - I hope you'll continue.
I just read this story all the way through a second time instead of studying for a test - which wasn't wise, but was very worth it. And I love it. I love it so much, STILL. God. Thank you for writing this.
And to top it all, he had found himself a girl. And not just any girl. A girl worthy of touching a Malfoy, quite a difficult requirement to meet.Category: Completed Short Stories
Very funny story. I really enjoyed it.
Six hours into the closing of the school term, Draco Malfoy is found unconscious in Ginny Weasley's room in the Burrow. As old sins and new horrors reveal themselves, the bloodiest June of the Second War begins. D/G/HCategory: Works in Progress
I really do like how the storyline is progressing right now - I'm assuming that you're following the theory that Hermione gave Harry a love potion to fall in love with Ginny. That is one of the most interesting ideas out, I think, I'm enjoying seeing how both of the girls are reacting as they understand the full gravity of what they've done; as Ginny understands, Hermione instigated the problem, but she (Ginny) went along with it and is therefore just as culpable.
But anyway the real reason I was prompted to review is because of your style. The way you write is actually enchanting; I love it. I'm not even sure how to describe it, really, but it's almost beautiful. Great job, I'm off to the next chapter!
For some reason, it seems as though Timothy's family members never die, they just become the next (male) of kin. I have no idea why I think that, but there it is. I have absolutely no idea as to whether he's "good" or "bad", but which ever side he's on seems to - luckily - be on Ginny's side.
Can't wait until the next update!
A bet, a wanted witch, and a magical contract land Draco in a most unexpected situation. Can his Slytherin soul survive intact or will he succumb to one redheaded witch in bondage? Snarky humor, romance, and a pinch of angst. “I don’t want it. I didn’t order it. Now leave me the fuck alone.” He slammed the door closed. Only it didn’t close due to the enormous boot wedged into its threshold. One loud grunt later and it flung back open, almost hitting him in the face. Draco reflexively leaned back, and that’s when she was thrust into his unsuspecting arms.Category: Works in Progress
Wow, I really like where this is going so far. You've taken an idea that a lot of people have tried on, and have made it your own. I really like the flashbacks - I'm dying to know what's happened to Ginny. Can't wait for the next chapter.
Wow. That was definitely a lot to digest in one chapter. I've been reading your (magnificent) story and not thinking that Ginny was capable of speaking five sentences at a time, more less scheming away all this time and jumping off to get married. I definitely did not see that coming. I feel awful for Draco.
I can't believe it!!!! I can't believe it at all!!!! I've been hanging on desperately these last few chapters, believing that there must be some ulterior motive. That Ginny must not really be with someone else, that there had to be something else going on. But I can't see any other way out. She really did use Draco and go off with someone else only to die. And I'm trying to be hopeful and optimistic, but I can't believe it!!! I don't even know what to say, actually. I feel just as shocked as Draco must. As much as I'd like to see them reunited, even though they're both with other people, the prospect of him seeing her again after she used him and ran out on him, only for her to die in front of him is pretty...sad. A lame word, I know, but I'm sort of flabbergasted right now.
Wow, I didn't forsee that at all. All this time, I've been enjoying your story, even though I thought that Draco's love for Ginny was one-sided. It seemed that he came to love her, and she came to appreciate him only to shunt him to the side for someone whom she thought of as more noble. Shows what I knew, doesn't it?
Nice twist. I'm looking forward to seeing how Draco deals with the truth. Thinking that Ginny didn't love him as he loved her was bad enough, but knowing now that she feels the same way, but that he can't have her may be worse in many ways.
Author's Response: I agree with you. Knowing that she loves him but he can\'t have her is much worse. Appreciate your insightful review. -fallenwitch
In progress. Ginny commemorates the fifth anniversary of her death and finds herself face to face with someone from her past.Category: Works in Progress
Oh no! I just realized that this was the last updated chapter, but I won't badger you. Either way, I'm definately excited for the next one. I have absolutely no idea what Draco will think. Lucius probably thinks that Draco knew it was Ginny all along, but he'll get a huge shock. Great chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m working on the next chapter, so hopefully you\'ll be able to see Draco and Lucius\' reactions very soon!
How two lost souls manage to find each other in the darkness.Category: Completed Short Stories
This was beautiful; it nearly brought tears to my eyes. Wonderful work.
Two and a half years after his failure to kill Albus Dumbledore, Draco has long been accepted back into the ranks of the Death Eaters. He is still obsessively searching for the rebel Ginny Weasley, but he hides that secret well. When she is found one snowy December night, he smuggles her onto the Death Eaters? train with him. And he begins to learn that nothing will ever be the same again?Category: Works in Progress
"In this strange, in-between place, Draco saw his selfishness and his smallness of heart dispassionately, and understood that these things existed side by side with his choice to take on Snape?s unimaginable pain, and his desire to die rather than to let Harry Potter hurt Ginny in any way at all. He did not try to puzzle out these contradictions, but simply knew that they existed."
My favorite parts of this chapter had to be where you talked about the way Draco feels about both Snape and Ginny. We obviously knew, when he chose to share Snape's pain, that Draco cares deeply for him. And despite everything, Draco has shown time and again that he does indeed love Ginny (though I doubt love would be the word he would use - at least not yet!).
But the way he said it in this quote sums it up perfectly for me(and even the bit that came before it). They would all go together, or not go anywhere at all - which is how it's always been. Snape has always followed Draco and watched over him, and whether Ginny liked it initially or not, she and Draco have been irrevocably tied together for years.
The contradictory feelings that he has for not wanting to let them go without him in that moment, but also knowing that he would sacrifice himself for them at any other time is just purely Draco to me.
Equally selfish and generous.
You've done a wonderful job showing that, and even though there was some great action going on in this chapter, that insight you've written into his character was by far the best part, IMHO.
And I can't wait for the next installment!
How awful. Thinking of how painful the Cruciatus would be in that room makes me feel the first dregs of sympathy for a fanon Snape since Book 6 came out...and that's no mean feat!
Aside from that, though, I think one of the most interesting things about your stories are the theories that you mix into the plot lines, and how they all come together in the end. Bellatrix's tale of losing her virginity to Voldemort in that room and how he rose to power - just a halfblood man to a powerful madman - is interesting. It almost seems as though any person - provided that they were insane and power hungry enough could become the next Dark Lord. Even someone like Harry, who although he's supposed to be innately good, is compelled by the seemingly endless reserve of magic behind the door. Nice chapter.
