Awesome chapter! I haven't yet read a fanfic from Draco's point of view in the 6th book. I'm sure there are plenty of fics with that sort of plot but they just don't do it for me. I like how Draco's a 'prat' and he's so much like a teenager here --- unsure, pompous, a little insecure and trying hard to cover it..he's been conditioned to believe in blood purity, and while I think he's always going to believe in this he hasn't come to fully realize what it really means to be a Death Eater. I really hope this doesn't turn into one of those fics where Draco suddenly turns mushy and is willing to give up everything he has for Ginny... or suddenly start ripping each other's clothes off. It's also when I usually lose interest in the fic. There always has to be a proper reason for that and soon is never the time for them. Anyway, keep it up. I like the quotes you're using as I can definitely make the connections.
Author's Response: Thousand times yes! Yeah, that's why I love Draco so much, he's so complex (unfortunately very hard to write). Anyway, I know where you're coming from about the whole mushy Draco thing. Doesn't really suit him. Not exactly sure where this story will go (I'm planning it out right now, just realizing how hard it is to write a close-to canon story haha!), but I'm going to try my best to keep Draco true to himself. And I'm glad you like the quotes, I was really nervous about that, I don't want it to seem like I'm plagiarizing. Look forward to more reviews :) Thanks so much!

hello anise, i absolutely am not a huge fan of fanfics ... except for yours. ive read every single one of your fics and love each one for different reasons. although, i admit, i do get a little disappointed when you don't complete your fics or the chapters aren't as long as i'd like them to be. but that's just me. and you - i lovelovelove your fics. honestly, the fics on the favourites page aren't that great. they're so sappy and i don't at all agree with how the authors characterize draco and ginny. the interaction between draco and ginny is never put together as well as you do. either they're head in heels over each other from the start because of some silly plot line like draco helped her up when she fell....or they start passionately fighting and their arguments are ... kinda laughable. i know, i might be being really mean, but to each his own. i'm soo glad i stumbled into your fics YEARS ago. i still continue and enjoy reading them.
and man, you really GOTTA post the next chapter soooooon. and finish the fic!

A team of wild plot bunnies couldn't keep me from finishing this fic, I guarantee, the main reason being that so much of it was written and planned out before I ever started possting it. BUT (and being Draco's butt, it's a very nice one,) there's a lot of fic still to come (no jokes will be made about that.) ;)

Author's Response: I can't say for sure, because Draco isn't telling me a lot throughout these chapters-- (runs from butterfly nets.) He has a LOT to hide right now. But the next couple of chapters will have some... interesting developments, let's just say. ;)

Author's Response: You're welcome. Yes, there's some craziness, isn't there? Ginny is innocent for 20 in a lot of ways, partially because in the wizarding world, I think there's some canon evidence that having sex before marriage (for pureblood girls, anyway), is not well thought of. But I also think that it's because in other ways, she isn't innocent. What happened with Tom Riddle/Lucius has left her afraid of intimacy. Luckily, there's always Draco to help her out... ;)

Ugh, I get that some things just have to be done. I just hope Draco doesn't act cold to her next time he sees her ... whenever that is. That and it doesn't take forever for them to get together! It's like they're getting closer and then they're even further apart than before. Really frustrating!
Other than that, you are a seriously skilled writer. I love the way you develop their characters. Like I said earlier, I cannot read any other piece on fanfic...I just can't. I've tried and tried and tried. Not happening. I don't know how you do it but you do it really well. So well done! :)
Author's Response: Oh, something tells me that we'll see Draco before TOO much longer. ;) I think that Draco and Ginny are doing a kind of dance, approaching and then moving further apart, but I will say that from Draco's POV, they could have ended up very, very close. The problem is that it would have needed to be completely on his terms, and Ginny couldn't accept them and still keep herself whole. Thank you so much... and more pretty soon. :)And I was searching the web for expensive cars, and just really, really liked that one!

I don't have any on my favorites list, as you found out, but it's really because I just never think of it. There are definitely a few, and some are older, so I might take some time to come up with a list. But right off the top of my head...(feels around on top of head) It's another one of those hair days. Anything by the Okelani sisters is always good. :)
