narcissa lucrezia, huh? is her namesake lucrezia borgia of poison-filled ring fame?

Author's Response: Ves and Myn say: But of course (says history groupie Ves). We’d like to believe Narcissa has a few tricks at hand - possibly inside a ring with a hidden compartment.

a cunning and sly Narcissa, able to turn anything to her benefit...she /couldn't/ have been a slytherin, could she?

Author's Response: Ves says: Wait - there was an option for Narcissa to be something else?
Myn says: I've seen her made into a Ravenclaw in some fics. Ravenclaw being the harem for Slytherin boys, for some reason.
Ves says: The only solution I will accept is that she went to Beauxbatons. *sulks*
Myn says: Myn says: Well, our Narcissa was a Slytherin.
Ves says: True, and we have to keep in mind that JKR's Narcissa is barely there. Blink and you miss her.

Brilliant!! *Applauds wildly* Scheming, opportunistic Narcissa seems perfectly in place in the fashion/cosmetics world. And you've really created a fascinating Ginny.

Author's Response:

Ves says: Narcissa is perfectly in place nearly anywhere with power and money. But that might just be me...

Myn says: Fashion's an ugly business.  Luckily, Narcissa can triumph over just about anything.

ooh interesting chapter, cant wait to read more!

Author's Response: Myn says: Yeah, I can't wait to see how it all turns out, either! ... Wait, that wasn't very comforting for our readers, was it?
Ves says: Comforting? No. True? Yes. *shrugs* I think we are going to be as surprised as everyone else...
Myn says: Hey, at least we'll all have fun, right? Right? Ves says: Right!

his is one of the best ones yet! WOW! I love your Narcissa!

Author's Response: Myn says: Well, yes, I really do think I did an excellent job with "His", and... Yeah, I should totally stop abusing an innocent typo to promote one of my stories which is on fanfiction.net instead of here, huh? *cough* *shuffles feet* *cough* Woo! Narcissa rocks!
Ves says: *reads all that* Err, yeah. Glad you are enjoying it. Feel free to ignore Myn.
Myn says: Yes. Just ignore me.

Ginny is saved. Although I rather think she'd be able to get any job, her being such a powerful witch and all. Seventh daughter and all that, unless I didn't remember that correctly.

Author's Response: Myn says: Technically, the tradition calls for the seventh son of a seventh son. Ginny isn't the seventh son, she's the first daughter, so unless you update ancient traditions with modern gender sensibilities, there's no inherent special magic due to her birth position. If Arthur is a seventh son, then her little brother would be hot stuff, or failing that a little brother of Ginny's could have seven sons and the seventh of those would be all special and extra super magical, but that's got very little to do with Ginny.

Ginny is pretty darn cool, in my opinion, and probably powerful, but for the purposes of our story, she's as she's been written - a mostly ordinary girl facing a tough job market.
Ves says: *nods* She's quick and clever - that much is certainly canon. We shall see how she fares...

when i saw this story on the recently updated list, i actually had to do a double take :) but it was definitely worth the wait. keep up the hilarity!

Author's Response: Myn says: Thank you! Just for you being so patient with us, the wait time for the next chapter will be miniscule.
Ves says: We are back on track and ready to go. Hope we didn't give you whiplash with that double-taking.

So funny and witty and smart. I love your portrayal of Narcissa, and Ginny so far. And who better to do a wizarding lingerie line? Cannot wait to see how Draco fits into all of this......since I am sure he is a connoisseur of fine lingerie!

Author's Response: Myn says: Oh, I'm sure Draco would be the first to agree with you there.
Ves says: And don't fret about Draco - All will become clear. *wicked grin*

This is a wonderful, charming story. Narcissa and Ginny ready to take on the world. I LOVE it.

Author's Response: Myn says: I think it's not so much 'on' as 'over'.
Ves says: Yeah, I think "take OVER the world" is more like it.

Author's Response: Myn also says: Either way, I think the rest of the world is trembling in their subpar lingerie in anticipation.

Author's Response: Myn says: Do you know, I enjoy it, too? Maybe even enough to update soon. Hey, stranger things have happened. ;)
Ves says: Glad you are liking it. It is a not commonly done concept...Go us!

I somehow missed the first chapter of this when you posted it, but I'm so glad I read it tonight. I laughed my ass off--pun very much intended. Please do post again soon.

Author's Response: Ves says: I would consider yourself fortunate. It means you didn't wait ages and ages for an update!
Myn says: Oh, dear. Do you think we could reattach her ass with superglue?
Ves says: Why not? That guy in the ad glues himself to an I-beam...
Myn says: Okay. We'll just need for her to send us plane tickets and her home address and we'll be right over with the superglue in order to atone for our crimes.

YES! A fashion industry-related fic! I'm enjoying this very much thus far...looking forward to the next chapter ^^

Author's Response: Ves says: Hey, Myn - looks like we are filling a burning need in the Fire and Ice community. Who knew? Myn says: Oh dear. Now I wonder if I need to know more about the fashion industry that can be read in Glamour magazine. Ves says: I think you are fine. After all this is a totally fictional fashion industry! Myn says: Point. Although sometimes the fashion in Glamour also seems directed at fictional people. Ves says: *snerk* Word.

Computer - $1300. Internet Cable - $50. This story - Priceless. (There are some things money can't buy, for everything else there is mastercard ;-). Seriously, all joking aside, I really love this story! "I leave with lush or nothing..." Bloody brilliant. Where do you guys come up with this stuff?? I like Narcissa as the career woman although it is not the usual way one perceives her because she is aristocracy and working is beneath her, but, hey, I am all for willing suspension of disbelief, and I rather like this Narcissa! Draco and Ginny are very IC, and from this chapter I gather that Narcissa likes Ginny very much; so my take is that she pushes for a relationship between the two. However, with the weird way this story started out, I am sure there are other much more entertaining thoughts abound! I would tell you to change the names and try and publish it, but I think that is frowned upon ;-) Nevertheless, if this ever gets published it, I am confident that it will make the bestsellers list! It's a very unique story. Ok that was quite a long review...but I am so excited about this story!!

Author's Response: Myn says: If we ever published this, I wouldn't be able to resist telling Good Morning America that it all started as a fanfic on Livejournal, and then the jig would be up and someone would sue us until we died. So, it seems unlikely. Ves says: *snicker* She has a point. There will be more later on how Narcissa started but for now I can say, I am not sure she had much choice. Glad you are enjoying it. This story owes quite a debt to fluffy chick lit everywhere - not a style either of us usually writes but fun. Very fun. Myn says: Much fun. And some insanity, which answers the question of where we come up with this stuff.
