Author's Response: I wasn't upset at all while writing. I was nervous while writing cause it felt like my muse was leading me around by my ear AND because I knew I was going to get a few (a lot of?) angry reviews! I always talk my scenes outloud to myself to make sure they are as realistic as possible. Thanks so much for reading & reviewing!

Um... Draco is evil. And that was kind of disturbing. I felt terrible for Ginny. He practically tried to rape her. :(
Author's Response: draco definitely isn't evil, he's just draco malfoy and i wanted to get a bit of the canon character in here. don't worry, when i said this story was fluffy, that meant happy endings all around. just with alot of road blocks.

That was crazy powerful. Obviously, I want a make up scene right now, with explanations and apologies on both sides, but i enjoy this chapter because it hopefully will serve as a portal to draco and ginny being able to know each other on a deeper level.
Still, I don't like how Ginny bought the ring- it's the one part I didn't like about the chapter. She grew up her entire life worrying about money, and I don't think that she would have ever cared so much about a ring, enough to buy it without even thinking about the consequences.

Gods, you're amazing Jess!
I mean, sure the ending was kinda awful and Draco was a total JERK from the beginning until the very end of this chapter, he bloody raped her, even though it was bodily concensual, her mind certainly did not want that.
The Ulrich guy creaped me out to the very core and i'm glad Draco was there to keep her away from him.
I think she should spend the night in the tub or something, or just have the night away to cry in a bathrobe in the loo.
Draco should definately make up for his mistakes, be the tender, sweet, caring lover he had been until now.
Even if he stalls for the truth, he should tell her, some of it now, some of it 2 or 3 chapters from now, but just stop being an arse and treat her so badily!
He should love her, adore her body, beg for her forgiviness, cry do whatever, just get her to see him with in love eyes again! Get her to respect him again and not resent him!
THis was beautiful, you know, in a sick, crazy kkinda way, even the "rape" scene was beautiful, i know it sounds kinda twisted, but this is incredible!
I hope the next chapter is up soon!

Author's Response: I really, really felt the need to pull some hardcore canon!draco back into the story, but he's already edging his way back out. All in all, this story is supposed to be sweet & fluffy-in general. Of course, there are always road bumps on the path to happiness, as this chapter proved.
I was worried about Ulrich freaking some people out, but as one of my ever reassuring betas remind me - it's a holiday in a foreign place, he's an attractive older man, Ginny's a pretty thing. Lolita anyone?
As for the sex scene, plenty of people told me they really liked it, but in the next chapter it will be made clear that wasn't a rape scene. And Draco will beg for forgiveness (as much as a Malfoy can, I suppose) & Ginny will do what she needs to go :D

It was a great chapter. I am a bit confused by Draco's behavior though. I went back and reread the section on the train to understand his behavior without any luck. He just seems to be acting that way for no reason at all. I understand being a little quiet but his all out anger wasn't necessary.
Ginny was irrational. I don't think she quite grasps the gravity of the situation around her and is still thinking with Gryffindor irrationality. At least that is what I'm getting from her attitude.
Great chapter. I can't wait for the next one. Hopefully, there is some remorse on Draco's part for his behavior at the end. It was uncalled for and made me cringe.
