Great story! Please write a sequel, this story deserves it. Thanks for writing it.

Author's Response: I'm glad you like this! I'm open to a sequel, it's just that I haven't had a good idea for one yet. If I get one, I'll write it. :)

So Matt's gone, I hope?

Author's Response: Long gone and won't be seen ever again, not to worry. :)

this is good but i just wish that you had more too it oh well its still really good

Author's Response: Well, if you're interested in a longer piece that deals with the aftermath of trauma, take a look at "Sanctuary," which actually has a lot of these same themes fleshed out. Neither story is terrifically happy, just to warn you. :)

i absolutely love this story. i'm not a big fan of reading fics with violence because i hate to see ginny be really hurt in any way. but this story was amazing. the way draco helps ginny find her strength again after that stupid bastard matt was so great. i just found your stories again and i love the way you write. sanctuary is especially beautiful. keep up the fantastic work!!

Author's Response: It's not necessarily fun writing these fics either, but the backstory that JK gave Ginny does lend itself really well for this kind of thing. Especially given that it never got explored in the books, we don't get a chance to see how she's still affected. I've just gone into one extreme reaction after another. :)

This was really great! I have read all the work that you have on here, and I am a huge fan! You have a really different take from a lot of the fan fic out there (myself included) and I really enjoy reading it. I think that you are right, there is a lot of darkness beneath the surface of the books, but to me that is part of the appeal. Fabulous story. You are really a talented writer!

Author's Response: I tend to write angsty stuff when I start dipping into the darkness in the pairing. I haven't really seen that side of our duo, so I've really wanted to explore that. There's a lot of darkness in each of them, and it's possible that this would be why they understand each other so well. Plus, I don't write fluff well. :) I'm glad you've enjoyed this fic!

Thank you. I enjoyed this fan fiction thoroughly. Though it ended on an unrealistic optimistic note which would likely never occur in real life, it was believable in the storyline, which makes this story painful and beautiful. This was truly a work of genius and art.

Author's Response: Thanks. :) I know it was rather quick on her part to be able to accept herself. But for the terms of spellcasting and not wanting to have a complete angst-fest, it turned out that way.

this is the best i've read in a long time. your draco is truly lovable. beautifully written, well done. :)

Author's Response: thanks. I tried to make the fluffy side of him at least believable. :)

This Ginny reminds me of me. A quick note, though: this is well written, but sef-acceptance doesn't come that quickly, especially for someone that hurt. For me, it took over a year to build up self-esteem even to the point where I could look in a mirror and not be disgusted.

Author's Response: I know that in real life, it takes years to recover from trauma. To be honest, I don't think Ginny's self-acceptance is all that real, as much as I made it seem so by the end. I just couldn't take too much more angst in it, and I needed something of a happier ending.

wow, that was pretty damn good. not usual fanfic material (the whole complete devastion and Harry limb-less) but i liked it a lot. I hate it when fic writers are all like everything is peachy in the wizarding world. when you know it won't be in the end. so it was damn good. damn good. EB

Author's Response: I think there's a lot that's between the lines in the books, and there's problems there if you look. Thanks for thinking it went well. :)
