just read this one again. I think i do every 4 months. Did I say that at my last review? I love it and it's still one of my top 5.

Author's Response: Hello again! It's really nice to hear that you still like the story after so many readings! Thanks for letting me know!

*claps* a wonderful and lovely story to end a peaceful evening. It was interesting and it makes me smile to see more people like wine ANd appreciate everything else about the topic.

Thank you :)

Author's Response:  Your're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed the story! It's always nice to hear from other people who also like wine. :)

another wonderful chapter - Draco is so vulnerable and adorable in this chapter - human - I love that he is insecure even as he is arrogant - very finely crafted - I particularly enjoyed the exchange about his stupdity.

This “Even if you do tend to act like an overblown Zinfandel most of the time.” - has to be one of my favourite Ginny lines in d/g fanfic.

Author's Response: I'm happy that you like Draco's characterization. And I like that line too--and it wasn't even in the original draft! Thanks for reading and for the review.

I never knew the world of wine was so complex...and that there are wine snobs. I learnt so much from this, and am really inspired to go wine tasting (though I don't think that I'd be allowed, as I'm underage)

Anyway, it was a brilliantly written and informative story. I love the portrayals of Ginny and Draco's characters. Especially Draco's...comparing wine to women. That was cool.

And I loved the bit about Oliver being gay. And the Zinfandel comment. They made me laugh aloud.

Author's Response: I'm afraid the wine world is full of snobs. But there are also lots of people who just like to drink wine. I'm glad you enjoyed the story. Thanks for reading and for the review. I appreciate that you told me what you liked.

Positively brilliant! I loved it! I feel like I'm reading two books at once: the first being a terrific D/G fanfic, then second an interesting and informative guide about wine. I'm sad to see this end! Can't wait for the Epilogue...

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed both the story and the information. It was certainly fun to write! Thanks for reading and for the review.

That was a perfect finish! I loved the last line -- brilliant. I'm sad that this story is over so soon (with the exception of the epilogue) -- it's been such fun and educational reading. Thanks, Embellished, for writing it, and congrats, btw, on the new house. I hope you and your husband have a great wine all set for the housewarming!

Author's Response: I'm glad that you enjoyed the story. Thanks for the congratulations (we are planning a Cote Rotie for tomorrow, which will be our first night in the house) and for the review!

First off, I love your story, not only is it a great read but also educating as well. I've learned more about wine here than I have before.

My only concern is that Draco in this chapter seems a bit OOC. In canon, we see him as refined, smooth, stoic ... not someone who easily stutters or rambles.

Also, I have a wine related question that I'd really like if you could answer (send to ashleyjt@berkeley.edu). I went to the local grocery yesterday (because I don't have enough money to pay a lot for a bottle) and roamed the shelves and had no idea what to look for. I ended up buying a variety of different wines from different grapes from Clos du Bois. I was wondering if this maker was a good choice.... And if not, who should I look for next time?

Author's Response: Actually, Draco isn't always refined, smooth, and stoic in canon--think of the bathroom scene in HBP. I think emotion can cause the best of us to act a little bit OOC. I haven't had anything from Clos du Bois in several years, but what I have had from them has been pretty solid. Your approach of trying various kinds of wine from the same producer is probably a good one--or at least somewhat scientific! It will eliminate some of the variables and allow you to decide which varieties you like best.

Perfect ending. "He felt as if it satisfied a thirst he hadn’t known he felt. But at the same time, he knew that with Ginny, that thirst would never truly be quenched." Whether it's wine, kisses, or a good story. Well done!

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the ending. It was hard to find something that fit. (That was actually about my fourth attempt!) Thanks for reading and for the review.

loved it. that was amazing. so who else was jelaous, oooh. are you talking bout a guy who was checkin out dear ol ollie? okay. really enjoyed this story though.

Author's Response: Actually, Ginny was the other person who was jealous, because Draco was with Pansy. I'm glad you enjoyed the story. Thanks for reading and for the review.

Or rather the end I mean... any chances of a vignette sequel? Would love to see it... :)

Author's Response: Well, the epilogue is a bit of a vignette sequel. It takes place a few years in the future. But other than that, I have no plans to write more. Of course if inspiration strikes, I may very well do so! Thanks for reading and for the review.

Short n sweet...though, some parts remind me of Alfie, which isn't a bad thing

Author's Response: I actually never saw Alfie, so any similarities are purely coincidental. Of course, many romances are similar, so I guess it isn't so surprising that this story is something like that one. I'm glad you enjoyed the story either way. Thanks for reading and for the review.

Ginny’s face fell. “I’m like your mother?” - one of the funniest lines in this (sadly the final) chapter.

I know that one of the reasons I read this story was because it was unlike anything I'd read in a while. While I'm sad that it's over, I've definitely enjoyed it - I've even learned a bit about wine.

Thanks for writing, and good luck with your moving!

Author's Response: That line was one of my favorites too! I'm glad you liked the story. It was fun to write--a case of writing what you know and love, I guess. Thanks for reading and for the luck you sent my way! Hopefully I won't need it.

Awe! that was really good! I just moved into a new house as well so I am impressed that you posted so soon after a move!!! Congrats- on the finishing of the fic and the move!

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the story. And getting this chapter posted was a nice break from hauling boxes! Thanks for reading and for the review.

What kind of wine does one drink to celebrate a new house and the finishing of a fantastic fic? Congratulations on both accounts and for being smart enough to marry such a wonderful man.

Well, I am extremely sad to see this tale come to a close, but it was a glorious ending with Draco running, like the spoiled child he is, to Ginny's at some ungodly hour of the night to have his need for her met. Ginny's revelation about Oliver Wood was brilliant! Yes, I think she will make a magnificent Malfoy and might just out-Malfoy the Malfoys. Thanks for a refreshingly original and memorable fic... looking forward to that epilogue when the time comes.

Author's Response: Well, tomorrow will be the first night we spend in the new house. We are planning to inaugurate it with a Cote Rotie that we have been saving for a special occasion. Our first house probably qualifies, right? And you're right, I did marry a wonderful man. He has even carried the vast majority of the boxes!

Anyway, you picked out some of my favorite bits from this chapter. I'm glad you enjoyed the ending, and the fic as a whole. I certainly had fun writing it! Thanks for reading and for all of the reviews.

lovely ending... though I did want oliver to come out at the very end and make a comment... sigh we can't have it all.

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it. But Oliver was probably with someone else more in tune with his preferences! Thanks for reading and for the review.

This whole story is captivating; I've learned about wine in the most pleasant of ways- accompanied with a D/G fic! Bravo! Thanks for all your time and effort in writing such a unique story!

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed both the story and the wine info. It has certainly been fun to write! Thanks for reading and for the review.

What a wonderful scene! It was fluffy, which was fine, but it also seemed really honest, with Draco struggling to get his words out--and Ginny not really helping him along. And *what* Draco said was pretty moving, too.

I don't know how I feel about this being the end...I sort of feel as if we didn't really get to know Ginny's personality. I also expected the story to be a bit longer, so that we'd see them fall in love.

But I'm not disappointed. The ending was so sweet and promising that I did come away with a happy, satisfied feeling.

Thanks for writing this!!

Author's Response: You're right that we've only seen glimpses of Ginny's personality. But the story was really about the transition in Draco's perspective. That arc is over with now. And I'm afraid you are going to have to use your imagination to fill in the details of their falling in love. Though I expect it will follow along the lines of most couples. And you'll get a glimpse of it at least one aspect of their relationship in the epilogue. Thanks for reading and for your extensive comments! I very much appreciate them.
