It's a good start but I have one nit-pick. I don't believe that they wouldn't have pulled Ron out before hand and let him know.

Other than that is a unique storyline. And Ikinda like it.

This chapter was really good. I think you filled Draco the perfect amount of indifference/feeling. His mood swings seem to be very appropriate. Just really well done! AND I KNEW Ginny wasn't dead -- I knew after the headmaster said someone had 'tried' to commit suicide but now I'm sure of it with her in the hosiptal wind instead of a morgue! Can't wait for more! ;)

Draco's fine. If he didn't know ginny except in passing then I would have said he was definitley OOC; though its obvious that there was a little sumthin sumthin.

I could wait for an update.. if I had to ;)

anyways, sent you an email about the beta thingy. let me know if you got it or not.

There was a minor grammatically error in your last sentence of some kind. But I like this story. It's lovely really. I agree with your betas, he's not too indifferent. Firstly, he's in shock. And secondly, he's used to masking his feelings, so he's using that tactic. He doesn't want to show himself how painful this is for him because he doesn't think he'll survive reality right now. All he can do it live in a mindless dream world until the real world is not so painful that it could kill him. Or, at least, that's how I see it here.

Well, I hope she's dead. If not, I'm very disappointed in the way you've handled this. No one says that a body has been found unless the person is DEAD. So if she's still alive on the other side of that curtain, than shame on you because its a cheap and unfair way to manipulate your audience, and I will stop reading. However, if she's dead, then I am curious to know all the details surrounding her death. Will await the next chapter. Thanks.

No. I agree with your bata, however what will he do about her death; is the real question

This is really good! i liked it and i thought it was really good..I don't think you made Draco too indifferent he's fine, IMHO. I have a question though, if Ginny died then why would the school keep the body in the hospital wing if she was dead? why not send the body to the Weasleys? UPDATE SOON!!

Indifferent? no, not at all, but some other things bothered me about this chapter, you didn't get a sense at all of any grief coming off Bill and even snape wouldn't smirk at someone who had just lost their sister.. maybe you're concentrating so hard on the main characters that you are letting the more minor ones slip, draco was spot on though, I thought, but in the first chapter Dumbledore would never have announced Ginny's death in the great hall without taking Ron aside first and telling him privately, that would never happen, its almost too cruel, having said that I am eagerly awaiting the next instalment..Good luck with it

Wow. I don't think she's dead. I think he thinks she is, because he wasn't listening before, but I don't think she's dead. NO! She can't be! (oh, and your Draco was fine. Totally *normal* reactions for a healthy if a little neurotic individual.) Good work! I'm very sad to hear there won't be another chapter out soon.

I don't think Draco's indifferent at all. You clearly explain his thoughts and feelings throughout; just because he's trying to keep his composure doesn't mean he isn't felling anything. I think you're doing an excellent job and I can't wait to read the next chapter. I'm wondering, about how many chapters do you think this will have?

This is a pretty original plot. I hope you do it justice. It's really hard to tell from a first short chapter, but that was certainly a good start.

WOW!! it was good! please update soon!
Name: flame_kitty reviewed The News on Apr 24, 2006 06:23 am
Wow, a tremendous start! But you haven't stated that she is alive or dead, just that she tried to commit suicide and that her body was found, not that she had succeeded in killing herself, so I'm guessing that Draco ran out of the room before Dumbledore could let them know that Ginny was in the hospital wing, right? Please don't let Ginny have succeeded!

This is marvelous! I especially liked it that Potter isn't involved. I don't have anything against Harry, but it's always HIM and no one else ever gets to do anything... Did you mean to make it a round robin?

love it.

you have a great writing style.

Oh my goodness, that was intense. I think you're doing an impeccable job of unfolding the plot and the pace is absolutely perfect. I know this because I am filled with an overwhelming sense of anxiety and dread- which is fine! I'll be desperately awaiting the next installment.

OHHH, thats so sad, and what is the key all about. Can't wait till the next chapter!! and good job :) :) :)

Is she actually dead? It seems a little like they moved her body to the hospital wing and that she's just injured... Dumbledore did say that she 'tried' to commit suicide -- not that she actually did... Anyway... this was a really good beginning... I'm trying to wrap my head around a sobbing Draco -- but it works for me! Can't wait for more!
