i love it! please post some more chapters soon! i have read all ten and am eagerly awaiting 11. watched meteor garden after reading your fic and its good! keep up the great work!

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you watched Meteor Garden, it's incredibly addicting and so great, with all the angst and the prettiness (the Japanese version, Hana Yori Dango, it also ridicously good!) I hope to have an update up by the end of this weekend.

Wow! I must say that this was a highly amusing chapter and I actually laughed out loud. I must say that normally I am a fan of Ginny only with Malfoy, but I would love to see her with Zabini in this story. It would be such a blow to Draco. Excellent chapter any way.

the lovely HYD inspired crack fic of doom...

and just like every other addict i am going to beg you for more!

Author's Response: It really IS a crack fic of doom... But thanks!

Hee hee! Poor Draco! And he didn't even really deserve it. Well, at least not for the reason Ginny sent it. And the love polygons (it isn't clear what shape they really are, so I decided that the general term was most appropriate) are starting to emerge. What would make it perfect would be if Cho is really pining after Pansy... Not that I expect that in this story. But it would be quite funny. Anyway, I am rambling. I am looking forward to seeing what comes next since I haven't had time to read the cookies you've posted. Thanks for the update!

Author's Response: Hmm... now that I think about it, Cho pining after Pansy might not be such a bad idea! It would certainly add a degree of..spice to the fic! haha

Brilliant, as always, Hope! :)
Ooo, Draco's getting jealous!!

Author's Response: Thanks!! He's getting extremely jealous!

Hey Again, Hope.

To answer your questions, I watched the nine Japanese versions that you linked to your story. First, watching them on Youtube then purchasing them on Ebay. I’ve yet to catch the anime version of HYD though; I’ll look into it since you’re penning your tale based on some of their interactions. Maybe, I shouldn’t though to leave some kind of impending suspense to your tale.

If you are a nerd then so am I. I have a perverse sense of humor when it comes to things, you showcase a lot of hilarity in this story the subtlety of it is what I enjoy the most.

Also, Ginerva knows exactly what she’s doing here; she and Draco are doing some kind of twisted dance.
He pushes, she pulls and they are having trouble with the knot.

Another thing noticing the impending look Draco gave while still half-canary wallowing on the ground. He observed the smile/flirtatious look Ginerva gave Zabini and it pained him.

Does Draco consider Ginerva as his possession? Only reason I ask, because your description of Draco when he reacts when he feels as though something is his and he hordes it like it’s a treasure protecting it from others.

He's made it a point to tell Ginerva that he’d bought her, the night of the gathering at Rosmerta’s, and even though she corrected him more than once on the subject he still wanted her to acknowledge that he paid for her and was his.

But in this case, he doesn’t want Ginerva and yet he doesn’t want anyone else to have her either, it’s like the old saying. He wants to be the one that makes her the happiest and yet hurt her the most at the same time. Or perhaps, I’m over analyzing things as I’ve done before. Anyway, those were just more of my runaway thoughts on the topic. :)

Author's Response: Draco certainly does consider Ginny his possession. He even said that to Pansy, that Ginny is *his*. Whether or not he realizes this fact-that she's becoming something he considers part of his hoarde - or not is another story! You're the first person to pick up on that comparison and the hoarding comment! It's kind of key to some character development later on, so I'm THRILLED that you picked it up! And it's not so much that he *doesn't* want her, it's more of that he doesn't know he wants her yet, but he certainly doesn't want anyone else to have her.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! That was phenomenal!! Bloody brilliant! I loved it!! This si such a GREAT fic.

I love Ginny's bravery and defiance but I somewhat wish that she would be a bit more aggressive or wittier in her arguments. But I understand that Draco kind of knocks her off balance.

I think you wrote Blaise's character really really well. He's almost exactly as you would expect him to be in the books. Nice job.

Is that jealousy in Draco? ;) We all love a jealous Draco because we all know where that leads XD That kiss needs to ocme soon!! PLEASE!! Lol I can't wait!!!

Please update soon!! I really can't wait for the next chapter!

P.S. Ginny's prank on Draco was pure genius as well. It was perfect!

Author's Response: I also wish that Ginny could be a little wittier when it comes to their arguments...but unfortunately, I'm not so good with writing that kind of dialogue. I do my best, but it's not one of my strengths. And yes, that definitely is jealousy coming from Draco! : )

Brillant, absolutely fantastic, i'm loving your writing style. I so could have lived with a 30 page chapter, but it's great to know that there will be another one along soon!

I see the HYD-ish now.

And Draco's jealous! Heh heh. I especially like that part, because it gets us closer to the first kiss. Which actually . . if it happens in the same place as HYD . . . won't be for a while. Darn. But it's possible.

Author's Response: He is angry!jealous, which I think is way better than just jealous. And the first kiss is coming... and it won't be the same as in HYD.

when is the romance going to come?!?! and what is up with ginny flirting with BLAISE??!!

Author's Response: It WILL start, but with the current amount of *hate* between D/G, there needs to be some development. And Ginny... is rather infatuated with Blaise, which is why she's flirting with him... but mostly, because it makes Draco jealous, and I *love* a jealous!Draco.

Yay for the update! I'm glad that you did! I had almost forgotten about this cute little fic because of my obsession with reading D/G fanfiction constantly and not having seen this one in a while.
I also just wanted to comment that as much as I love HYD it really bothered me that there was practically no show of a certain physical interaction between characters involving two people's lips meeting, also known as kissing :-)
I was hoping that your fic would perhaps include more of this particular action. ;-)
I can't wait for your next update!

Author's Response: Hehe, I KNOW about that lack of kissing thing in HYD, it totally bugged me! It IS a travesty that I hope to atone for in my fic, but I just need a little more time to get there!

I think this is one of the best fics I have read in a long time. I'm not sure why I did'nt start reading it sooner. Truly great, update soon.

Author's Response: Wow! Thanks!

I love this story, I really like the fact that its a dark world, if you know what I mean?

but one thing that irritates me is that i think Ginny could loose her temper more, and lash out more to Draco, not taking his crap!!

great chapter can't wait for the next=)

Author's Response: Thanks! She does lose her temper a lot, and keeps trying to lash out at Draco, but he somehow just keeps knocking her off balance... or trapping her in situations where she *can't* lash out - which only infuriates her more!

Heelarious. That is what the narc gets for messing with her. I really do enjoy D and G's back and forth neener neenering. It's funny that they both know what to say and do to humiliate and hurt eachother, but then back off at the same time when they known it's going to far. I have watched HYD and bought the DVD after your suggestion. It's seriously one of the best kept secrets out there. Also, just to comment on what Imelda said, I think Hope used Cho because it's an homage to HYD being that Cho is japanese/korean and that is where the series was based.

Above all, gj Hope, excellent story.

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you thought it was funny, because I was all afraid that I was this giant nerd with some warped sense of humor and no one would find it even faintly amusing. Did you watch the 9 episode dorama, or the 51 episode anime? Because they are fairly different, but I've been kind of bouncing back and forth between them... In any case, I have to agree with you, HYD is great, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Honestly, I really just used Cho because she's the only canon character who fit the criteria (slightly older, pretty, potentially pureblood -it's never said either way in the books- with a skill that would take her away from the setting), so I used her. I didn't want to bring in an OC... but I like your reasoning better! : )

Great chapter!!! I loved seeing Draco get his comeuppance (even though this latest prank wasn't his fault), and the Ginny/Blaise interactions are definitely getting more serious. You know, because of this fic, when I'm watching HYD or Meteor Garden, I often think of Rui/Lei as Blaise!

Poor Ginny, though. Your version of the slut/prostitute prank is the best by far, I think. There are actual pictures to back this one up, and that just made it so much worse for her. Stupid Pansy. As for the Canary cream, however, did Ginny really do the Transfiguration herself? Or was it Fred and George's prank? That part of her conversation with Blaise confused me a bit.

It was great seeing him slightly animated, though, especially as we could see how much that meant to Ginny. And it was ALSO awesome seeing Draco starting to get possessive about Ginny because, well, that's just kind of sweet and sexy, isn't it? At least in fiction. But I am really, really sorry that he's starting to doubt Blaise. I mean, I knew it was coming, but it's so sad to see. He got rather scary at the end of this chapter.

Last comment, semi-related to the fic: I have been watching the Chinese version of HYD, now, 'Meteor Garden,' and it goes much more into depth than the Japanese television show. So I finally understand what I think you've been telling me for ages, that the heart of this story is NOT at all the hazing that Ginny goes through, or her fighting back. As much fun as it is watching the war between them (and Ginny is such a worthy opponent to the entire school!), it really is all about the D/G relationship. So go ahead and ignore all my previous comments to the contrary!!

Oh, I lied, one more thing--I thought it was awesome that you had Cho be in Japan, instead of France. But...why Cho??? Yuck.

Can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response: It was Fred and George's prank, in that they gave her the instructions how to make it, but she had to actually do the magic for it... but Blaise doesn't know that the twins had anything to do with it. About Cho: I can't lie, I only chose her because I wanted a canon character who could play Quidditch that wasn't a Gryffindor, or Fleur. But, considering it's AUness, her character will be slightly different than in canon, and hopefully not as annoying.
