Ah, but I love long chapters, and especially since it came from this story, it was a treat.

Pierce is one manipulative man...I would never have thought that he would have sunk to the low of using a sort of love potion. He's hardly got any scruples at all!

It's insane because I think that of all of the Slytherins we've met, he's one of the most dangerous kinds. He doesn't seem at all capable of a single cunning thought, but look at him! Plotting left and right, dosing students with potions, consorting with Death Eaters.

I don't know whether to applaud his cleverness or curse him for meddling in something that won't end well at all.

Anyway, thanks for the (lengthy) chapter!

Author's Response: I'm so happy that you see Pierce that way! That's EXACTLY how I've been trying to portray him, so I'm really excited that you got that haha.

Wahoo!! What an amazing chapter! It was very unusual, as I've never heard of anyone using a potion like that to get D and G together. To be honest, I don't know if I find it entirely plausible for the wizarding world, but the effects certainly were fantastic.

It was actually a treat to see how Draco, a fairly in-character Draco, might respond to an equally in-character Ginny without their prejudices. And I think it just speaks to how well the two work together as a couple. Pretty much everything you've been hinting at from Draco's POV in this fic was made clear in this chapter, which is why I enjoyed it so much!

Of course, now I'm dying of curiosity to see how Draco reacts when the potion wears off. What sorts of feelings will linger? Will he figure out that he was poisoned? Will he be mad at himself, or at Ginny?

Ginny was intriguing in this chapter, too, as she seemed seriously disturbed by her vision of Draco. I'm also looking forward to hearing more from her about that.

What a great chapter, and please update as soon as possible!!!

I really liked that chapter, I can't wait to find out what Draco's reaction is once the potions worn off.

I'm amazed how profound some of ideas the characters have in your story. Great work. :)

I'm so intrigued by your story. You've incorporated the 6th book in so well. Excellent stuff.

Not mediocre at all! I liked the Draco-Pierce conversation, and it's interesting the way Pierce keeps throwing new ideas at Draco all the time, and confusing him. As much as I worry about our boy, I love watching it happen.

Draco-Ginny interaction was, perhaps, a bit disappointing, because their relationship didn't seem to advance very much. OTOH, clearly Ginny is also putting new thoughts into his head, which is remarkable. I only hope she doesn't encourage him to confide in Pierce!!

Please update soon!

PS--It's always fun watching Draco obsess over Ginny, especially when she's unaware. So, yeah. That was...fun. (deep, I know)

Don't say that about your work HC. I found this chapter very insightful and not at all mediocre, especially in regards to Draco. It's sad that he has no one that he can trust and who truly a *friend* to him, and right now that is what he neeeds, even if it's just someone he can vent to without the pressures of being on guard or thinking that they'll use what he'll say against him. I must reiterate that I adore Pierce, this man is that snake from the Garden Of Eden, saying things that the person wants to hear but has an underlying motive for the person's downfall, I love him to bits.

Ginerva does have a vicious tongue, but she has too. Especially around him and what's he's done, I adore that she's very insightful and is able to say things to Draco that unnerves him like Pierce but in a different way. TFP, I enjoyed this chapter, and I look forward to your next update.

It wasn't at all mediocre, don't worry. The Slytherins are all so funny - though not exactly in a laugh out loud kind of way. They remind me of the other houses in some way, except they like to play at being Death Eaters - whether they've got the Mark or not, none of them has experienced what it really takes to be a thorough Death Eater.

And I felt so bad for Draco at the end of this. He really does seem lonely...ah, poor him!

Gah I love this story! I think one of the best things is the characters. Firsly, I love Pierce, becuause he's such a comple and interesting character. Secondly, I feel like you understand Draco's character really well, what with him detaching himself from people/emotions, and all that he said in the last chapter about using people and constantly being on his guard about what other people want. And then at the end of this chapter, with him feeling so lonely because he feels he doesn't need anyone... it's very in character. It gives him depth without making him warm and fuzzy. Can't wait for the next update!

I liked how you showed Draco's confusion in this chapter. And the failed intervention ("It's not an intervention!") made me giggle. Thanks for the update!

I really like this story. It has an intriguing plot, good characterizations of Draco and Ginny and I really like Jonathon Pierce. The dialogue truly reflects the personality of the speaker and moves the story along. Excellent work--please keep going.

Eeew, this is getting a little heavy on the G/Harry side. I am enjoying the good characterization, but enough is enough.

Author's Response: Lol I'm sorry you think so. I know, there is a lot of it, but I promise it's going to be important. So, perhaps annoying for now, but necessary to the plot. I swear haha.

Great chapter!! I'm so sorry to hear that there won't be frequent updates because of school. Stupid education.

I thought the beginning interaction between Draco and Pierce was really funny, and it was good to see that Draco is still sharp and alert to whatever Pierce says that is odd. Unfortunately, he's no longer suspicious, which sucks.

Lots of D/G interaction, also, which rocks my sox. Ginny is being far too easily manipulated by Draco, however, as is Draco by Pierce. Ah, what a tangled web we weave. I hope Pierce gets his.

Which is surprising, considering how much I've always said I like him. But there wasn't too much about him in this chappie, so I'm currently biased towards resenting his manipulation. However, it was awesome seeing him reveal a bit of his annoyance when that kid interrupted his conversation with Draco. Pierce is such a smooth operator that it's fascinating to see him thrown off his game every once in a while.

Can't wait for the next update!! Hope it's as long as this one, lol...

If it were some other writer..Draco and Ginny would probably be snogging rite now...but i prefer it this way...i just love your way of writing...everything is so calculated and well it is getting more interesting by each chapter...in the end of each chappie it always leaves me a little curious...love your work....the characterization of both the ferret and weasel girl is just perfect...

I love Draco's little lesson on Slytherin life. It makes me suspect that Ginny will have something to teach him later on. Though now that I think about it, I guess she already did with the Quidditch win earlier on. Hm. Anyway, thanks for the chapter!
