i love your story! It reminds me of one of judith macnaught's book "a kingdom of dreams". The plot somewhat's like yours what with the brother capturing a Lady then he falls in love with her. In fact this chapter is really similar to the starting of the book. Not too sure whether u've read that but ur story is captivating me too :D Please please please update as soon as possible!

Author's Response: that's also what my beta said! :) i read judith mcnaught but haven't come across that one yet...must read it. thank you for reminding me to give her credit if my story really is indeed like hers. ;) and yeah. i did plan on bree and requin getting together... i must have read it before and just forgot cos this is too coincidental.

Author's Response: bwahahaha, i know. :) i always sucked at history so i'm pulling that one out as an excuse. ;)

Definitely one of the most original D/G plots out there... although it seems that you based this one on the legend of Tristan & Isolde. If I'm wrong, then my apologies for stating it. I do love your fic and will eagerly await your next chapter. Keep up the good work! :)

Author's Response: it might not be that original cos it seems judith mcnaught has a book with the beginning like this one (serenity_dracoginny just brought it to my attention in the reviews for ch 2). :) i learned how to respond to reviews individually just now (thanks to CharmedLife19!) hence the reply to your other comment is on ch 2. :) thanks so much for reading and reviewing! :D

Author's Response: thank you so much. :) i love sad reads, and i enjoy comedy so i try my best to fit those two in one story. :)

You really do live by your name. That was a fantastic read. I adore tales during this time period as well, your descriptions are very vivid as well, I saw the images in my mind of what was taking place.

I do have a question though. I know during these ages that women were seen as property and lower class and really didn't have a voice and they were condemned easily if accusations came their way. It seems like Sir Beornulf may have setup Lady Edlyn, it's eerily reminscent of what King Henry did to Queen Anne during his reign.

Overall great job, I look forward to your next updates. :)

Author's Response: he did that?! sheesh. i wouldn't know really, history doesn't agree with my brain. :( let's just say someone did set her up. ;) thank you so much for reading and reviewing!

That was well written. I am a bit disappointed that Draco would do something like that, but I look forward to another chapter. Good Job!

Author's Response: you mean that he went soft? i'm sorry, but i had to make it that way. :) you'll see why. ;) thank you so much for reading and reviewing!

Well, you definitely have my attention. This seems like it will be a refreshing change from the standard D/G fare that I eagerly awaiting the next chapter to see where you take me. I am a sucker for novels written in and around this time period so you definitely have me hooked.

It is apparent that little Draco has had to live way beyond his years and it will be interesting to see how this shapes him in the future. The world that is he living in is dark and obviously cruel where love is not valued so it will make the insertion of Ginny very interesting. How will he react to her? Will she challenge ever fiber of his being?

Author's Response: thank you so much! :) i'm a sucker for stories around this time period as well. their morals back then contradict everything i believe in so it's fun to create characters who are somewhere in between. :)

If this is a prologue it certainly is attention grabbing. The tone is haunting but very fitting. I can't wait to read the following story
