O yay - ur back! LOve the chapter... wonder howcome the rest of her family dosen't seem to be too conserned about her... or tried to get in touch - no matter how mad they are with her...

I premise that I am Italian therefore you excuse my errors of grammar of the language English. After having read the beautiful Break in the sun (till the sun breaks down)
I waited with great anxiety the succession and Shall Rise you/he/she has been a beautiful gift of Peki to the fans of Draco/Ginny
Shall Rise is an intense history, amusing and the protagonists are so impassioned, perhaps defective but really unforgettable. Very beautiful the scene in which Draco after having been left by Ginny quarrels with his mother I would have very wanted to console him me.... I cannot wait to read the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you! :) Yes, the characters *are* rather flawed, but that's the fun of it, isn't it? I love writing this, and I'm so thankful I've received such a wonderful response by all the D/G readers. I'll definitely try to get more chapters up soon!

I really like the way this story is going, largely because there are so few fics that face these issues. Generally, Ginny is attached to her family and Harry, and then switches to being attached to Draco. She never has a chance to find out who she really is for herself. Half the time, I want to drag her off to a Co-Dependents Anonymous meeting... but this Ginny is different, and I like it. :)

Author's Response: I completely agree - Ginny isn't the type who would submit to a man, not to Harry and certainly not to Draco, and I like her that way. Writing them both is great fun :) Thank you for reviewing, I'm really pleased that you like the fic!

Wow.
Brutal. Beautiful.

That is the most amazingly choreographed, believable, painful argument(s) and denouement(s) I have ever read. Every time I reread it I find more. (Or maybe I'm just slow that way ;.) First, shock. Draco's shock. Ginny's insight. Every sentence relentlessly escalates the stakes, or spins off in another direction, dragging us helplessly along. The inevitable arrival. The leap into the abyss. (Wait--what the heck just happened?? How did you do that? In so little space?) Then, reverse. Wow. Reread. Now it's a fencing match. Or a ballet. Attack, react, attack, trade roles. Repeat. Death scene. Solo. Exit, enter, trade roles, repeat. I can't do it justice. I'm in utter awe of your talent.

Author's Response: Thank you so much, that's a nice summary of the argument, though I didn't choreograph it nearly as neatly as it seems now *g* I struggled with this chapter quite a bit before I posted it, but in the end, I was pleased with the flow. Glad you liked it! Brutal and beautiful is just what I was going for, so I'm happy you think it turned out that way :)

That was so moving. Draco's emotional down-spiral was so poignant. I felt the utter bleakness that he was going thru. The very last sentence brought tears to my eyes. It takes a lot of talent to write something like that.
