Wow that was really hard for me to read, poor Ginny being abused as she was. It was also even harder to read how she was blaming herself for what happened to her. I know it stems from her need to save her family as opposed to bline devotion, I just hope Draco gets her out soon. Very powerful story.

Lucius needs to be injured in a horrible way! I love the depth of feeling, friendship and understanding that is forming between Draco and Ginny.

Loving this story! That was so disturbing. Thank you for having Draco actually use the word rape as this is exactly what Lucius is doing to her. Am curious how they will get Ginny out of this horrible situation.

This is such a great story; I really love it. I'm particularly happy with the way you keep making Lucius a total ass--I have a tendency to like the Ginny/older man pairing, and you're doing a really great job of making sure I hate him and want her to get together with Draco. Great chapter! :)
Author's Response: I personally loved the fact that she finally managed to hit him back during this chapter. There's something about really being able to hate a bad guy that is rather therapeutic. :)

OHHH! Pooor girl seriously it seems that in all the fics I have been reading lately authors love to make her suffer...
Author's Response: Funny you should say that... I was just lamenting to my husband that the happy fics don't seem to get anywhere near the number of hits that the nasty ones do! I think the writers respond to that a bit, I know I do.
It won't be like this for the entire story. We've got a long ways to go... :)

Wow! That chapter was chalked full of stuff, wasn’t it! Lucius is a total bastard! I like to read all different characterizations of him (from loving father & husband to vicious, life-sucking death-eater). I do think this is the best evil!Lucius I’ve read in a looooong time. The scene with Voldemort was inspired. Very, very well done.
I was surprisingly pleased that Ginny refused Draco’s plan to run away. I was also glad to see Ginny call him out on the financial siphoning he’s been up to. Well played. I like the way he behaved about the whole situation. It felt justified without seeming too romantic in nature. I fully approve of the pace you’re setting for their relationship and eagerly look forward to the next “baby-step” they take.
I was excited to see the update as I’m well invested in this story now. I can’t wait to read more!!
Author's Response: I agree with you. Lucius has so much potential in so many ways. He's a great character to play with.
I do hope to keep up with a chapter a week, as some of the upcoming chapters are drafted, but still need some polish.

I haven't been reading that much D/G fics lately -- but yours is a real treat indeed!
And call me a perv -- but all I could think of after that last bit you wrote -- is Ginny heading off to the stables, sees Draco, gives him a passionate kiss, then whispers "tell me you want this as much as I do?" -- then shags each other's brains out! It has hot sex written all over the place!
PS: The 1st porn flick I saw by "accident" (I was a kid at the time looking over my brother's beta tapes) was about an heiress shagging her stable boy -- so forgive me if the thought of D/G making love in a pile of hay is so damn HOT! hehehe...

I haven't read a D/G fic in a while, but yours has lured me back in :D
I love how you've stayed away from most cliches- like Ginny marrying Lucius instead of Draco, and giving a reason for going to a muggle pub (as opposed to Ginny, a witch, randomly deciding to go to a muggle pub instead of a wizard one). I love the tentative relationship between Draco and Ginny. I can't wait to find out who the muggle is (presumably Draco, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were Harry)
Author's Response: Thanks! My goal was to keep it a bit more original, but I was worried about the feedback. I just got so bored reading the standard plotlines, and when this idea hit me, it wouldn't let go until I started writing.

Author's Response: They were so flirting. Aren't they cute like that. I have to keep away from writing too much of that, as this is supposed to be more dramatic. But we do need to see enough of their relationship to know why they like each other so much.

O.K so now things are getting interesting between them....Jeezzz how does Draco stand seeing them together! Plus I like that Ginny doesn't wallow (sp) in self pity, she made a decision and has the spine to deal with it!

rnNo, it's not fun to be feeling defeated. Fortunately, this is only fiction. I think you're going to love what eventually happens, but we are still very, very early in the story.

I enjoyed the fluff because I'm wimp and while I love drama am a little timid of the angst. But I love your writing and this story and plan to be there through the end. Of course you giving me thoughts for a great nights sleep thinking about Draco naked help :D :D
Author's Response: I can't believe I wrote that... but the idea keeps giving me misc chuckles during my workday. As the story goes, there will be a bigger emphasis on drama over angst. Hope you had a great sleep :)

Nice touch with the swamp. They seem to have such a childlike friendship right now, which I mean it is a nice juxtaposition to Lucius and his creepiness. I am really excited for the return of angst though. :) good job and nice writing!
Author's Response: I wish I could remember where I got the idea for that... I wrote it so very long ago. Part of Draco's reaction is that he's nearly as trapped as Ginny is in his own way.

This was a short, but wonderful chapter. I enjoyed the fluff very much indeed. Draco is so darn sweet. I loved the scene in the joke shop. Fred and George are two of my favorites, and you certainly do them justice in this fic. As always, I look forward to the next chapter. You're amazing!
