Again, the banter in this was fantastic, getting very flirty, which I love. The UST just seems to explode on screen here. It's the will they or won't they tease that I very much enjoy in my DG fics.
“And what lovely dreams they are—tits everywhere,” Draco said.
Lolol! I don't care if you think you've overused Draco's tit obsession, it's hilarious and true to character as anyone who has an obsession will bring up that obsession frequently - or else it wouldn't be an obsession.
What I especially like about this chapter is the expanding on the friendship, giving us some of the background. It makes it that much more believable and enjoyable and their eventual coming together more satisfying. Some of the best romances are rooted in friendship, and especially those that started off with attraction but decided to build on a solid emotional relationship first.
Plus the part with Ginny's dreams and Draco comforting her... just great. It shows not only how comfortable they are with each other but how much Ginny trusts and depends on Draco and how deeply he cares for her. Just perfect. And I also like that the serious moment was interposed with humour, as it is very common amongst best friends, even when at their lowest.
The back and forth is killing me. Lol. Draco really doesn't stay down for long, which is awesome. Hehe. But yet again my favourite line has to do with tits:
“You and my breasts,” Ginny sighed.
“That could be a song,” Draco said.
LOL! Seriously, killing me. Another amazing chapter, had me grinning from ear to ear. :D
Author's Response: I heart your reviews so much. It's true. It is an obsession therefore he must talk about tits, tits, tits. And I was trying to avoid the whole long paragraphs worth of back story thing, so I'm glad you still got the strong friendship vibe without those tetchy paragraphs. I'm so happy you liked this fic, I would have been sad if you didn't. And there may or may not be smut cookies/outtakes forming in my head now thanks to one of my other lovely reviewers. - Ann
