My guess is Nott Sr. will be the one to try to help Yaxley. But I really appreciate that even among his own classmates/friends/teammates, Draco has a core group of people he can trust. And maybe it's not that he can't trust the others, but he can't trust them to be the reformed people society thinks they can't be. It's good to know how well Draco knows his own team.
And Ginny getting them a mission to try to 1) get in the team's good graces and 2) extort Draco for better treatment was a brilliant idea on her part. She has to think like a Slytherin if she wants to be accepted by Slytherins!
And I'm surprised Draco didn't argue in favor of Ginny continuing to make the tea, but I guess he doesn't want to give her the satisfaction of knowing she did something he approved of. Plus, he has to pick his battles.

Another great chapter! You know, I always had a soft spot for Greg Goyle. ;) What's fascinating here is that the Slytherin Squad probably really *can't* be trusted... it's not just a simple misunderstanding that will be all be cleared up soon, and then they'll hold hands and sing... I can't remember, whatever song that is the Unitarians sing... you know what I mean. ;)

Of course!! Of course Ginny makes one hell of a cup of tea!! I wouldn't expect anything less. And I expect Draco to ask for more of it! Lol.
And hooray, Daphne is not so bad, after all! She has personality and I appreciate that. What, oh what will happen to Yaxley's trial? And who will help him escape? Eeep! The suspense! Good thing there's still one chapter after this. Onwards I gooooo!
Author's Response: I'm so glad you like the Slytherins. Daphne was hard (and so much fun) because I didn't want her to be nice, but still wanted her to be likable. So I'm really happy that shows through :)

I adore the banter between Ginny and Draco! It's beyond adorable. I also like the direction this is heading. You make me want to get back into writing for this fandom! So many writing challenges, so little time!
I think your Blaise is spot on. Or he is with the way I imagine him at least.

Author's Response: I'm so glad! Writing the two of them interacting is one of my favorite things...in life itself. They're just ridiculously fun.
Blaise has always been a perplexing character. It's nothing short of amazing that he can have so few lines in actual canon, but have such a ridiculously well-developed fanon character. So I'm glad we agree on him. :)
