How enjoyable thus far! A bold and confident Ginny is always so nice to see in stories (same goes for Pansy for that matter, girl power!)

That was a real fun chapter!

And I really enjoyed happy Draco and still defensive or unsure Ginny.

Also, Pansy’s character seems very fun

One quick question because I get distracted while reading. Ginny doesn’t arrive alone. What is that other person doing while she’s with Draco in the study?

That’s a slow burn indeed!

I enjoyed that added twist of H/H. Unexpected but I can see it’ll make things more interesting. Also Narcissa plotting in the sidelines a bit seems like a nice added touch.

Cannot wait for more!

WWHHHAAAATTT? That’s the cliffiest of cliffhangers!!

I loved the risk of Draco asking her out right away.

It stays true to your Draco laughing with the accountant in the first chapter. He’s got the world on his shoulders but he’s still a young man.

I’m actually more excited for the potentially awkward work meeting than the date.

Absolutely amazing! I’m off to reread until there’s another

Author's Response: It's interesting - I debated putting the ask in a later chapter, but decided that Draco would, in addition to being honest with himself, would also not waste time. He'd already seen too many people his age die. Also why Ginny said yes. :)

The angst in the backdrop really comes up and hits. I'm also as invested in the story as I am in wanting to see D and G get smooshed together like dolls already lol.

Author's Response: Oh, I love and adore angst. Love. And. Adore. Sex, too. IJS.

Well, it's D/G, of course there's friction between them. But friction creates warmth. And I can't wait to see them break down all the barriers between each other. My hearttt

The Weasley Eyeball and Disapproval of Lucius face made me lol.

But oh ginny. "[F]ive years of her life was over" - while these are supposed to be the 'happily-ever after' years, it's such a sour feeling how things don't always play out as you've dreamed. I like seeing her having to living past a vision she put so much stock in, it's something we all go through.

I loved the Ron and Ginny sibling scene. b25;

"Draco knew this was childish. But he’d taken on so many other things without a peep of complaint. He felt that he could have his childhood grudge to himself." - I want to hug the child in Draco. As all the Malfoys are punished, so is Draco, with the burden of his family's reputation.

Author's Response: 1000% agree. It was supposed to be happily ever after. Even without the epilogue, I always wondered how long it took to right society. And I love the fics where she and Harry break up, when she realizes that this is not what she signed up for or wants.

This is such a fun read so far! The characterization is so good for not only d&g but all the secondary characters you have introduced.

I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Author's Response: Thank you! It's a slow burn, because I always assume these people have trauma to overcome, but I swear to bob, I love slow burn romance. Along with former enemies-to-lovers.

Thanks so much for posting this fic! I'm in the middle of the summer fic fest right now, but once that calms down, I definitely will read and review. :)
